And most of the times, it has everything to do with what you think about yourself. I am a booking coach celebrity booking coach 54, plus Network, series regulars, and Emmy winner and image in Winter.
And thousands of people working around the globe, all because of this technique that I created, I really want to help you. So I do believe that if you keep listening, you might pick up some gem that I am dropping down and it will change the course of your entire career. So, I have a question for you. Why do you think artists are potentially lazy? Why is it that when we get an audition, we all now, there are exceptions, but I'm making a statement here.
We all put it off until the last minute. Why are most actors crammers last-minute? People get it done at the last minute or if we're not that We're too busy thinking about getting it perfect, so that it still doesn't get done because it has to be perfect. Why do we come up with reasons and excuses and feelings about not getting to what we need to get to? Why are things back burned? Why do we do that? If we say that we want this career so bad which we do.
Why do we leave things? For the last minute. Or we know it's not ready and we know it's not done so we send it anyway. We just send it. I mean, even though we know it's not our best but damn it. I spent so much time on it already. I never going to get that one paragraph. So fuck it, let's just send it. And then why, why is it that we are surprised when nothing is happening in our career, if we don't make our career priority, why are we surprised about that?
Why are we surprised when our manager doesn't send us out? When our package isn't even complete? Why are we surprised about that? Where are we surprised? When we told ourselves. How many times we're going to do something and we don't do it. Why? Why are we? Prized. That it's not happening. Why are we labeled the laziest people? When we're supposed to be held in such high esteem esteem? Because we're the ones in the world, entertaining people out of their depression?
Could it be that we are depressed too? Could it be that we do not know how to get out of our own way because we might be suffering from. I have to do it perfect or I'm too depressed or I'm too tired syndrome. I will tell you this. I don't think that besos or for what's-his-name that wants to buy Twitter. I don't think those guys get lazy. I don't think if you talk to anybody, that says extremely extremely successful. I don't think that they get lazy.
I don't think they cut corners. I do think they have bouts of depression, but I do believe they don't let the depression get in their way of making things happen for their dream. And what their purpose in life is, have you thought about that? If you do, have you put your purpose in life, in front of everything, is it in front of you every single day?
Look, I can say this because I am you, I am you I think creatives we go off in our own little creative Twinkie land and as actors were feeling our feelings. So much that our feud between our feelings and our Twinkie land. Sometimes, we don't come back enough to do the work that needs to be done because we're in a depressed way. He lived Whatever that land is for you. Everybody has their own way of dealing with this. Some of us get sick too much.
We're sick all the time. Some of us drink too much. For some of us end up. In court, living in the dark side. Where is the light side? You know, doctor is supposed to bring the light to the people of the dark. We can live in the dark in our pretend world. But you can't truly be dark. Really truly dark. if you're entertaining masses, and you're supposed to be bringing them light, So, no wonder, we can't get out of bed sometimes or finish the audition.
Because it's all too overwhelming and too much sometimes. but I say to you, that you have to figure out a way to push through it. Because whether you want to look at it or not, this is a competition. And just when you're starting to work again, the old habits can start creeping back in. I see it time and time again. My people, I did it myself. I see it. I understand what it takes to break through to the next level and really sore through to be a well-known actor.
I've met around it for 28 years and I know what it looks like. It takes a tremendous, tremendous amount of perseverance, selfishness for yourself. And your well-being. And your purpose. It's really hard to do. But that's when you have to do it. The most a career is based on momentum. So when the momentum comes to you, even if it's in a small form, you need to roll out so you can get to the next level. And that's how you get to the next level and the next level and the next level.
But we fall out during momentum. We decided to go in a vacation. In the middle of our major success. So, where sleeve do? I'm sorry, but the only time you guys can vacate your mind is Christmas. And Thanksgiving. Because you know as well as I do the moment that you make plans to go somewhere, here are going to get a big audition. A massive audition. I think it's God in the universe's way of saying how much do you want it? Hey guys, thank you so much for listening. I so appreciate it.
