We at Across the Cline and SciComm@UCR, would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our responsibility to the original and current caretakers of the land, water, and air on which we record this podcast: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. This month, we are joined by Frances Cannon, an interdisciplinary writer, artist, educator and Mellon Science and Nature Writing Fellow at Kenyon College, and Patty Kaishian, the curator of mycology at the New York State Museum, to talk about what it means to be queer and how does it show up in science.
