Episode description

The most joyful moments of life come when I’m in a state of inner peace. Everything I look on softly glows with gentle compassion. And my spine tingles with warmth.

But when I’m not in that state, all hell rages around me - and within.

I’m reminded of this phrase from A Course in Miracles: “In peace you need nothing and ask for nothing. In war you demand everything and find nothing.”

When we are with our ego mind, we are literally at war. We have needs that must be met, oftentimes at the expense of others. We’ve exchanged grandeur for littleness and serve the master of scarcity. But as we’ve all learned time and again, we never find what we’re looking for.

That is, until we’re willing to relinquish our attachment to the ego mind and make a different choice. One that results in an incredibly calming peace where we need do nothing.
