All our sense of struggle and discontentment comes from choosing our ego mind. Of course, the ego would have us believe otherwise. From the ego’s perspective, suffering is the result of living in this world, interacting with other people, and dealing with the limitations of our body.
But that isn’t true.
This powerful line from A Course in Miracles sums it up: “Pain is an ego illusion."
