Lesson 16: I have no neutral thoughts

"The idea for today is a beginning step in dispelling the belief that your thoughts have no effect. Everything you see is the result of your thoughts. There is no exception to this fact. Thoughts are not big or little; powerful or weak. They are merely true or false."

Those lines are so compelling. “Everything you see if the result of your thoughts.”

And what he means by thoughts being merely true or false - that depends on which mind we’ve chosen: either the ego mind or the mind of spirit. When we choose the ego, all our thoughts are related to fear, guilt, attack, and defense.

When we choose the mind of spirit, all our thoughts are reflections of love.

In fact, later in that lesson he says, “Every thought you have brings either peace or war; either love or fear. A neutral result is impossible because a neutral thought is impossible.”

So, we can use all our experiences in the world to show us which thoughts we’re thinking - which in turn leads us back to our mind where we can make a different choice.
