Participants joined the Advocacy Steering Committee as we presented the premiere episode of “Adventures in Affiliate Advocacy”. This call provided an opportunity to recognize and learn from the advocacy journeys of state and special interest affiliates and local chapters and featured Robyn Wallen, chair of the Missouri Council of the Blind’s Transportation Committee. Robyn discussed her committee’s uphill battles with local government, public transit, and paratransit entities to safeguard and improve transportation options in the greater St. Louis area.
