Episode description

Today’s episode highlights the relationship between rest and writing. This concept is something I have learned from my coach, and she learned from her coach, and I am thrilled to pass it on to you!

Many academics operate on a binge-and-bust writing cycle. They save up their writing tasks to get done over the summer, leading to overwork, stress, and a negative relationship with writing and publications. Binge-writing cycles are unsustainable and eventually lead to resentment. The only way to break this pattern is to balance creation with restoration.

So if you are a professor desperately trying to get through a backlog of writing, this episode is for you! Tune in as I discuss ways to foster a better relationship with writing by prioritizing rest.
