#59: This Ain't It, Chief

Has anyone actually gotten into contact with Microsoft to let them know that they're launching a next generation console this year? The Xbox Games Showcase has come and gone, leaving pangs of what could have been, reopening wounds only recently shut after their last event in May. Outside of a "this is fine" reveal of Halo Infinite (that we found out after recording wasn't even running on Series X, but a PC!), a deeper peak at The Medium, an exciting looking DLC for The Outer Worlds, and a super psychedelic trailer for Psychonauts 2, of which the latter two are cross-platform, not much else left us excited about what's to come. This was a Game Pass Showcase, not a next gen showcase, and it shows. There's still some interesting announcements worth discussing as we recap the day's reveals, but it's starting to become painfully obvious that Xbox isn't interested in their new hardware, so why should we be?
