Episode description

One of the most highly anticipated games of this generation, from one of the greatest minds in the industry, has finally been released to the masses. Death Stranding is a title that has been shrouded in mystery throughout its development, but we can finally say that the avant-garde, genre-defining, big budget spectacle that Hideo Kojima has worked on since the exodus of much of the Metal Gear Solid development team from the bindings of Konami is, in fact, a game. The whole gang has spent many hours with it now but only scratched its surface, and while these impressions are early its clear that a connection has been made. The industry at large seems to be forming its own connections as we discuss the news of the week, including Guerilla Games' Herman Hulst taking the mantle of PlayStation's head of Worldwide Studios, Jeff Kaplan's clarification on the eventual merger of Overwatch and Overwatch 2, and what games you'll be playing on Google Stadia when you connect with it on November 19th.
