Episode description

This week Llewelyn continued our 'Growing Wisdom' series, exploring what he calls Moral Imagination.

Moral imagination is the ability to imagine what a right or wrong response is to any given situation. A moral imagination immersed in the search for God’s will and wisdom enters God’s story to imagine what a situation would be like if heaven and earth were united in that place.

Llewelyn looked at why the Bible uses riddles, poetry, stories and parables and how these things appeal to us on a deeper level and evoke a response. He invited us to look at the rules that we follow in our lives and the wisdom that underpins them.

Llewelyn leaves us with the following questions to reflect on this week:

  1. What situation are you in at the moment that you need God’s wisdom to help you make good and wise decisions?
  2. What ways can you use moral imagination to help you in that situation?
  3. How could you help someone else engage in moral imagination to help with their situation?
