Episode description

This week we were joined by guest speaker, Matt Gray, lecturer from Tabor College. He shares with us about the practice of confession, something that goes hand in hand with forgiveness.

Sometimes we try to hide our mess, close the door, turn off the lights and walk away. God doesn't look at our mess and leave us to deal with it ourselves. He sent his son Jesus to take on the mess of the world. (John 3:16-21)

Do you try to hide from the things in your life that you would rather just avoid and ignore?

Do you trust that God can take on your mess, or do you think it is too big even for him?

Confession is hard, not confessing is hard - choose your hard. It takes courage to let Christ shine a light on all that is happening in our lives.

“The Christ in his own heart is weaker than the Christ in the word of his brother; his own heart is uncertain, his brother’s is sure.”― Dietrich Bonhoeffer
