Episode description

This episode features Lauren Johnson, the Mental Conditioning Coordinator for the New York Yankees. She also has experience working at the IMG Academy with Justin Su’a and at the collegiate level with Sacramento State baseball and Point Loma Nazarene soccer. Johnson played soccer collegiately for San Francisco and Point Loma. We discuss how to help players that are dealing with injuries stay engaged, helping with triggers to get unstuck, how getting turned down for a job with the Army was the best thing that happened to her, staying away from the trap of 'What Ifs', her work with the Yankees and IMG, and when as a coach you should discuss with your players about when to see a mental health professional.
