Episode description

Next up on the ABCA Podcast is current Johns Hopkins and former Yale University infielder Dai Dai Otaka. This is the first time we've interviewed a current player who is also an ABCA member. Otaka played high school ball at University of Detroit Jesuit and started his college career at Yale University with current Minnesota Twins Assistant Field Coordinator Tucker Frawley as an infield coach. Otaka is finishing up his playing career at Johns Hopkins University. At Ivy League Schools, graduate students have not been able to compete athletically, so you see a lot of impact grad transfers coming out of the Ivy League. This episode should be a resource for coaches on how to talk to players and is an example of how we can bridge the gap between the new and the old in today’s society. The ABCA Podcast is presented by Netting Pros. Netting Professionals are improving programs one facility at a time, specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of custom netting for backstops, batting cages, dugouts, bp screens and ball carts. They also design and install digital graphic wall padding windscreen, turf, turf protectors, dugout benches, dugout cubbies and more.
