This past year I decided to backpack around Mt. Rainier National Park, located in Washington State. The Pacific Northwest is full of rugged beauty, forests for miles and Native American lore. This story about Nathan Olney, 1824-1866, was my great-great uncle, the epitome of what it means to have the spirit of adventure.
