Episode description

Our exit today has us searching for love and trying to commit. This week, we are looking at two romantic comedies with some notable names in front of the camera, but did not do well at the box office. The first is Three to Tango, and the second is The Bachelor. Both films are trying to make movie stars of their leading men: Matthew Perry and Chris O’Donnell. Along the way, there is lots of talk of Buster Keaton (whose film Seven Chances inspired The Bachelor), sitcom plots, wonderful character actors, bad depictions of Chicago, golden-age screwball comedies, and Tripp keeps trying to recast these movies.
