Episode description

Documentary filmmaker and avid yoga practitioner Kayoko Mitsumatsu founded Yoga Gives Back in 2007, inspired by the micro financing revolution of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Dr. Muhammad Yunus.  Kayoko realized, “for the cost of one yoga class, you can change a life”.  Today, YGB provides nearly 2400 underserved mothers and children with micro loans and educational funds in India.  Kayoko documents the many successes YGB has funded on video, showing how YGB recipients remain in communities like Bangalore and help their people.  She discusses these success stories, the recent Yoga Gives Back 15-year gala, and much more.
