Pushkin, Hey, Slight Changers, maya here. It's great to be back. I'm thrilled to share that Apple chose A Slight Change of Plans as the best show of the year for twenty twenty one, and we've got a fresh batch of episodes coming your way on Monday, February twenty eighth. Each week, you'll hear a new conversation with guests like Christine ha who permanently lost her vision by age twenty four and then went on to become a world renowned chef and
winner of the reality TV show Master Chef. I have the choice of either feeling sorry for myself or figuring out how can I pick myself up and plug myself back into the society. And Scott, who we first heard from in a Slight Change episode called The Life Changing Diagnosis. At the time, Scott was in the middle of treatment for stage four bone cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Today, he's successfully completed treatment and is adjusting
to life back at home. It was clear that a full life is something you want, and so I'm very willing to fight for that. And now that I'm in that, the question is Okay, well, wait, what is a full life. We'll hear from Richard Harris, the Australian doctor who was asked to perform a risky medical procedure in an effort to rescue the boy's soccer team that was trapped deep in a cave in Thailand. I remember feeling very very anxious, thinking, this is it. This is the moment of truth, when
this whole fanciful idea will actually become reality. And I'm about to mate these children, and I'm going to have to make a decision. And as always, we'll hear from change experts like grief therapist Julia Samuel, author Michael Pollen, and psychiatrist Dixon Chibanda, whose scientific insights will help us think differently about change and live happier, more fulfilling lives. I'm Maya Shunker, and this is a Slight Change of Plans, a show about who we are and who we become
in the face of a big change. Subscribe to Pushkin Plus to hear the whole season ad free and get episodes a week early. You can find Pushkin Plus on the Slight Change of Plans show page in Apple Podcasts, or at pushkin dot Fm.
