Many tend to think of the here and now. God, in contrast, thinks more of the by and by. While we think about what will make us happy in the moment, God’s more interested in what will make us holy. Pastor Greg Laurie points out the Lord wants us to choose the kind of joy that will follow us into eternity. God’s end game is to make us more like Jesus because heaven is a prepared place for prepared people.
