Episode description

Debbie Roberts is the secretary of the Owasso High School Counseling Office and a Driver's Ed instructor. She's a brave woman! She has three daughters and is a member of First Baptist Church of Owasso. Debbie talks about growing up with two deaf parents and what that was like as a hearing child. She is also working on becoming a certified Sign Language interpreter. Her heart for that comes from a very personal place. She will also tell us about a time when her husband of 32 years ended their marriage. It was a devastating and heartbreaking journey, but she has come out on the other side of it now with grace and wisdom. She gives lots of good advice for help through that and how God never left her side. Her story reminds us that God is our anchor in the midst of the wind and the waves; though we go through storms, He is always with us.
