Episode description

Star Trek: The Next Generation 'Remember Me' with Commentary by David Hoffmeister

The human condition of separation is a condition that has been accepted as the normal state of mind, an individual's private thoughts, going for brief glimmers of intimacy and connection. The whole situation of time-space is one of separation, division, isolation, and loneliness because of how it's set up. Most people spend their entire life dealing with issues around loneliness and isolation—difficulties with communication. Relationships seem difficult. Groups seem difficult. The government appears difficult. Countries seem like a tricky thing.

In Christian terms with the Trinity, the Holy Spirit's perspective will say, here's what healing is; it's coming down to a shared perspective. The Holy Spirit's perspective is the only perspective that can be shared; everything else is the attempt to share something that was set up to not be shared.
