Episode description

Nicki is a former Army Officer who spent 17 years developing people in conflict zones around the world and now runs courses to help people develop their resilience. There are so many ups and downs in life and it can sometimes feel like you don’t have the strength to carry on, or even get started.

But within us all is a resilience we don’t normally acknowledge and, if you can tap in to it, you can overcome those slings and arrows that life chucks in your direction (especially when you are trying to do something NEW) and not only survive but thrive as a result.

In this interview we talk about Nicki’s own journey, her army career and her decision to leave after 17 years and set up her own business. AND we talk about this concept of resilience, and how to grow and become stronger as a result of the experiences that happen to us in life OR from experiences we intentionally put ourselves through.

Nick works with groups of individuals and with companies so if you want to grow your own resilience or discover just how resilient you already are, you can follow Nicki and her adventures on Instagram (@resilienceatwork) and check out her programmes, and read her blog on her website

Please also come and join us at Corporate Escapees, our Facebook group, where I share a lot of resources and ideas to help you make your escape plans a reality. It’s a lovely community and we’re looking to grow so head over there today!

Stay in touch with us on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and of course, the website.
