Coming after Defense Force troops deployed to the Middle East, a warning to change passwords, and an AFL great forced into retirement. I'm Katie Fuller with this afternoon's nine News podcast. Australia has deployed defense aircraft and personnel to the Middle East as a contingency in case they're needed to help evacuate citizens, but the federal government says they're not there for combat. The Australian embassy in Iran has been closed and diplomats have been told to leave the country as

military tensions escalate. Foreign Minister Penny Wong says the government will do what it can to help citizens.

Our deployment is obviously to assist Australians, not for combat purposes.

President Donald Chump says he will decide within two weeks what course of action the United States may take against Iran. Sixteen billion logging details have been leaked online in what's being described as the largest amount of stolen data ever discovered. The security breach was investigated by cyber News and is believed to be a result of years of cyber criminal activity.

Experts say it's a blueprint for mass exploitation. Tech expert Trevor Long has told two GB's Clinton Maynard it poses an immediate threat if passwords aren't changed.

Let's say they obtained your details from Shop A that was hacked from ten years ago, and there's your username of password. They'll now take that use of a password and try and log into Shop B or Bank A and start trying to access your online identity in other places.

Australia has moved a step closer towards introducing social media age restrictions after the federal government received a key report on the issue. The Age Asurance Technology Trial has found the under sixteen band can be achieved. It shows there are a number of suitable systems, but no one size fits all solution. Clinical psychologist doctor Danielle Einstein says the ban will make a big difference to children's mental health.

Jerry Hoggard, who found a Building Groups, Extension Factory and Spurway Homes, had been carrying out a three year renovation on the Saint George's Road property to build his dream retirement home. He's told The Herald Sun the two rope property was highly detailed because he wanted to make it his last build and leave a legacy. Mister Hoggart, who bought the property for about seven million dollars in twenty

twenty one, says he's devastated. After more than forty years in the industry, he'd never built a house for himself. He believes if it had been an electrical fire, flames wouldn't have spread through the house like that. A major crackdown is on the way to tackle east scooter accidents across Queensland. More than six thousand patients who've been taken to emergency departments with injuries since twenty eighteen. The RACQ is calling on the state's government to take immediate action and drinking alcohol, smoking, living alone and being prone to clutter can increase the risk of being killed in a house fire. West Coast AFL Premiership winner Jeremy McGovern has announced his retirement due to repeated concussions. The thirty three year old played one hundred and ninety seven games for the Eagles, but was forced to front the panel after copying a serious head knock against the Demon's back in round eight. He says he's sad to be forced into retirement after accepting a recommendation from the AFL's Concussion Board.
