It's with Jenny Garth and Tori Spelling. Oh mg, it's another episode of US. Hello everyone, Welcome, Welcome, Hi guys. I love this episode. Goods. Wait you guys? Um, did anybody else noticed that Hulu doesn't offer our show anymore? What's happening? Weird? It's very confusing because all of a sudden, like Yon Hulu, we subscribed to it. We're watching our show rewatch every week. You guys are watching it with us and then gone and now Paramount Plus. I've been

watching it on Amazon Amazon what Amazon Prime? But maybe I'm watching it on Paramount and I just didn't realize it, but I click on my Amazon. We were watching it on Hulu and they had all tens seasons and it was so simple and easy. Uh, but the music was a little wonky. So I switched to Paramount Plus for this episode. Did you yeah? Yeah? But the music? Did you feel like the music was better? I thought we had to, Like I thought it didn't exist. I think

it's gone off Hulu. Okay, Um, wait, are you saying the music is different Paramount Plus? Like I feel like the music is what it was when it first aired. Like I don't know, I might be crazy, but the music maybe was just really good in this episode. No, the music changes based based on the platform you're watching it on because they can't clear it on certain so Paramount can possibly clear all of our original music. That's

worth it? Then, Yeah, that's worth it. I mean it's it sort of sucks sorry guys that you have to jump around to do this with us, but we're really glad that you did it for you if you made the jump the lead to some other platform. Do you have commercials? Why not commercials? No? No, what we're on Amazon. You need to come on over the Paramount Plus figure out what I'm doing. It's the place to be apparently. And we get nothing for this, by the way, but

we were just like you guys, trying to find it. Yeah. Do you guys get checks? Still? Like checks and stuff like that for residuals. People ask me this all the time. Should they ask you too, Jenn like the same thing, like, oh, I just watched it here, watch it there. Someone was asking me about Hulu is where this came up. Before we realized we had to, it was gone and we had to jump to Paramount Plus and I was like, I don't think so, and then I was like, wait,

are we supposed to? But they get less and less each time it like the rerun happens, so they are down to like a dollar ninety nine. Now I think of some poor like accounting person who has to figure out year after year, like where is Jenny Garth? Like how do I even find her to send this check for eighty two cents? I haven't moved so by it's not too hard to find me. What's happen when we switched platforms? Does? Wouldn't it be nice if when we switch platforms like it kind of started over so we

got more money? For a second, what's the smallest check you've ever gotten? Like? Is it for since? Actual sense? Yeah? I heard it's bad luck though not to cash it, like you're always cash a check no matter what. Look, but I'm sure they're still in my drawer somewhere. It adds up. I'm all the way up to like twelve dollars. Oh my god? Now okay, wait, do you get a better deal like if you did a show now or like Jenny, do you get more sense from that? What

I like about you show? Like as time went on? Yeah? Yeah, it time decreases the amount and like Tori said, the amount of times it's aired so aired a jillion times all over the world. So that's why it gets less and less and less every time. And that doesn't people wonder if they're hatting better deals now where they're like because you know how like back in the fifties, so we haven't got like leave it to be where people

didn't get anything. I'm sure we definitely got a little scrutiny dutity on the residuals because that wasn't yeah, it wasn't a thing well and nobody even knew there would be streaming. People weren't like they're going to show this again later on the internet. And don't get it started about merchandise or do Tori gets all wrong. I get very riled up about merchandise because it as you should.

It's your face, right, like I could that wouldn't happen, Like I could buy a T shirt with your face on it and you'd get nothing and I could just wear it around. But it's not even that it's the original stuff. It's it's so yeah, but we did get something right, Jenn, because we all, hey, this isn't fair because it was happening and that was a dicey time because I felt weird because of my dad and but I didn't think about that. Did you have to negotiate

with your dad? Um? Well, I got a manager because literally, like I was not. I think I've told you guys this before, like when I became a regular, like I wasn't. I was getting like nothing like compared to what everyone else was getting. And I think he was just like, oh, it's okay, you don't have to pay her as much

or something. Maybe he felt weird about it. But I was working just like everyone else, and I was I didn't get money from my parents at that point, Like, so I just yeah, So I got a manager and they and she handled it because I didn't want to get involved. But the merchandise, I feel like Jenn correct me.

If not Randall, James will know. Um, we all came together and we're like, okay, let's we hired someone to do like an account hunting and say, hey, we need to get something right, I believe so yeah, I think so m hm, I'm still stuck on you had to negotiate with your dad? I mean I didn't. I didn't say anything right, But like theory, you kind of did, but it kind of went with My family never talked like they weren't big with like talking about things, even

like emotions or like what was happening. So it wasn't weird to go over there Sunday night dinner and he probably knew, like, oh, she's renegotiating, but just not talk about it, you know, just like I didn't talk about who I was dating with him. He was like, oh, no, no no, no, I don't want to hear about that. Like he didn't want to talk about like personal stuff or business stuff, except he loved to talk about casting. Obviously.

What do you think should we talk about this week's episode? Yes, yes, I loved it. I need to put on my glasses. I noticed you don't have your glasses on. I didn't. I put my eye drops in this morning so I could see. I can't really see. I'm glad you're reading the synopsis today because it's a little blurry. Okay. Season three, episode twenty Parental Guidance Recommended, aired on February third. Synopsis. Dylan's estranged mother, Iris returns to l A and suspects

Jack wants to steal Dylan's trust funds. Smart Brandon continues gambling and splurges his winnings on skis and a new car stereo. Meanwhile, David and Steve meet with the eccentric eccentric Icon Records Company president Curtis Bray, who tells David that he will give him a recording deal only if he fires his personal manager, Steve. Brenda spends the entire weekend in her bedroom moping about her lost relationship with Dylan until Iris pays her a visit. Directed by Gwyn

Who Gwyn, I'm here? Is that Emmer Never? I don't remember, gwyn Emer, I don't either. Written by Chip Johansson. It was a good one besides the Rooney was she our only other female director at this point, and the names like maybe I really don't remember, I don't remember. Yeah this uh oh it starts on broken Heart? Yeah, what do you? What did you think Benny would love love?

What did you feel? Ahead? It made me sad from the get go, because it just made me think about like how hard breakups are and how it just just just it's the worst it really is. You know, we would listen to soundtracks remember you when your tape player and just listen to music. Boom Box next to her bed to comfort her. Like what made us think that playing really sad songs would make it better? It makes

it worse. You just cry more, But it's good. You gotta you gotta bleed a little, like what I love. I always think when I listened to that kind of music, I love to bleed, Like that's what my girl than I call it music that just makes you bleed out your eyes, you know, like, oh, it's so true. Trying to remember if like a high school breakup, college breakup or after we're the worst, but I feel like it was the breakups like in your late twenties early thirties,

those were horrendous, gets worse than high school. You kind of bounced back within like two days. You're like, I'm good, well, dylansure did. Kelly seemed too as well. I mean, jeez, you guys, she's got some bounce in her hair, she's got some soft curls. She got Shetler set half up, half do, very fluffy hair do for this episode? What do you think when Iris interrupted your makeout session? Your buttons were all wong. That's funny, Ah, that was funny.

That makeout session was good. That made me like that made me. It took me back to high school because I was I feel like after high school, you don't have like makeout session on the couch. It felt like a sneak in, like like because you usually at the parents house. I mean, I know Dylan has his own house, but like I don't know. So you're like in the living room and you're like seeing their watching movie and you're like sneaking the make out they were making though,

Like that that was like serious hardcore making out. Yeah, you had like no makeup left on your face. Even when I came out with my shirt, with the shirt all this button, I still looked a little messed up. You think it was so real. I loved it. I don't know if it looked really effortless, uh, to the physicalness of it at all. I don't really really recall like what I can just remember. Those scenes are always so weird to do because you have to. It has to be as if it's just the two of you

and you're in this moment. It's fully submersed in the moment. But the reality is there's a camera right there with like three guys standing around it, and there's ten guys behind it holding lights. And it's just weird, so weird. But on the flip side, you gotta take it where you can get it because you both had alternate realities and this is your soul mate from a different lifetime basically and in my opinion, and so, um, is that just me? I was like, No, is that just me

making out with Brian? Like I was like, I'll take it where I can get it, because it's not happening in real life. I don't remember, Like I wonder what did I have a boyfriend in real life? Or did I because that's always weird, always had a boyfriend who was my boyfriend? You are a one guy girl. You're one guy, one guy gal. Yeah, Tori, that's funny what you're saying. Though I have never known her not to be with someone. Well, that's true, I have making me

sound a little pathetic. No, I just mean you're a committed person. She doesn't like she doesn't No, No, I didn't mean that you don't dat around. She knows what she wants and she literally like, you're a commitment girl. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. So Tori, I need to ask you more about this. So basically, you're crushing on Brian Austin Green, but Donna dates David, So Donna gets to make out with David even though

Tor wasn't getting to make out with Brian Austin Green. Well, you know that's not completely true, correct, correct? Correct? There was that one summer, and then if you listen, there was always like, yeah, things would sporadically happen over ten years. Right. So but let me ask you this, do you think that you're makeout scenes we're sort of different in your mind than maybe Jenny was going into hers because you're like, oh,

I'm gonna make out like with this dude. I like, and maybe Luca has the best example for Jenny, but obviously, like I don't think she probably didn't go into it the way I was where I was like, I'm super nervous, but I get to kids Brian like it was different, but on some level, like it wasn't different. I don't

want to put words in your mouth. Can you remember waking up the morning of a makeout scene and being like I get to go to work today, like now we were too young, Like remember I remember, like really, yeah, I know, like there's certain days when you got to get a good shave the legs. Everything's got to be shaved up. You want to make sure you're presented really well because you're gonna go either you know, make out or get in bed or do something physical with another person.

You got to think about these things before you go to work. Boot. But specifically with Luke, it wasn't. I wasn't nervous ever, I don't recall. It was just like, all right, let's do this, Like, but did you ever oh gosh, did you ever in these I used like in the middle of it, did it ever? Like cross frank from art to reality? Like I mean, I know, I know the people there if you can't like ever really focus. But I would have a moment where I was like, oh, like yeah, I mean the lines were

blurry all the time inside my body and outside. Yeah. Oh I can't wait. So is it totally different now, like when you guys are working on a show or a TV movie. Now you're like, I don't care about this, dude. Yeah. For me, it's totally different. It's it's lost its um luster, excitement or like yeah, now I'm like, oh man, okay, I gotta make this happen. I gotta sell this moment. Like I want to, like I want to work it out, and I'm sure he's comfortable and I'm comfortable. Is it

harder a little bit now? Me? For me, it's like a little bit. It is because my my Okay. For me, it is because it's it depends on the guy. And I think the only one that ever, like on camera, was really into was like Brian and then that's how Dean and I met. We did a TV movie and and I felt the same way like on camera with him. But now doing like kissing scenes, I'm worried about other things. I'm not like this is like that's just a job. But I'm like, oh my gosh, this person has to

like pretend touch me and stuff. And I'm like, the skin is not the same as that you see, Like I have like layers of spanks and I'm like, oh gosh, he doesn't touch my arms, and how do I look at this? Like here it's yeah, there's a different chat

about yes, but I really did in this episode. I really okay because we're watching it for the first time and as fans now I am actually we are both fans of the show, like totally in hook Line and Sinker ready for every episode every week, um and following along with storylines, and I feel like for this episode, I can totally see why the people don't like Kelly, Like, yeah,

because Brenda was really likable in this episode. Yeah she was, and real heart just really hurts for her, and Kelly looks like, you know, I read the comments, you guys. I read all the things you say. I read the good ones and I say, thank you so much. And I read the bad ones and I say, I say, couch, you know, like I am not. Um. I don't think either of us are you know, unable to feel the jobs that we get thrown, even from thirty years ago. It's so messed up because people, people not they people

on on certain places have said negative things about Kelly. Fine, have your opinion. I I'm agreeing with you. I don't like her either. I don't like what's happening. I don't like what they did to Brenda. I don't like the way Brenda's hurting and they're like making out while she's hurting and not. It's just it feels so disconnected and awful, and I hate it. But but then when they say, you know that that was a character and I was

doing my job, and I didn't even think about it then. Um, in a full circle kind of way, like in a

three D way. I only thought about my job and what I had to do that day and and following the script, like doing what I was told basically, And um, now just seeing it, I I fully get why people don't like her and it, but I do feel like, wow, I think maybe people are so hateful towards Kelly, maybe they should also be layful towards Dylan, because oh yeah, he seems to just really not care at all about Brenda's feelings at this point, and that, to me is

just disheartening. You know what I just thought of. Obviously, you read the whole script, sorry to cut it off. You read the whole script, but you're paying the most attention to your own scenes because you have to learn them. So maybe back then you weren't even so aware of Shannon scenes and how heartbroken she was with her at the end of We never knew, Like when somewhere was just doing a scene, we weren't even there, Like we didn't know what going down. Yeah, we didn't see it

till it aired. Like now when we do shows like we get to be when we produce, we get to see like the cuts, the edits and the everything shot with everybody else. Like back then, you literally watched on TV with everybody else and saw it just knowing what Kelly's doing. Jen, can I assue, do you have an example of one that you read that hurt you? Um, well, I can't remember which was where, But like, look mean tweets, there's a there's a reason there's a skit about it,

then it's going to happen. You and I both know there are people that just don't like us, and that's okay, so but you know, and and they're going to be mean about it. So when they're mean about me, I'm kind of a little bit more tolerant of it somehow, but because I think my skin is thickened up in that respect. And also I have my husband where I

go and talk to him about it. Like even yesterday, I'm gonna be honest with you, I read some comments and it brought me down, and I I had to go to an event last night, and on the way there, he was like, what's the matter, And I told him, I said, you know, just stuff's getting to me today, a lot from a lot of different angles like you and I made that appearance at the NFL thing and people hadn't really mean some really nice things to say about us, and some really mean things to say about us,

and then can I can I say what they said? I'm trying to find something right now. I can't believe that came back up. Yeah, they there were some really nice stuff, and you know what I gotta say, like, I'm really hard on myself. I thought we looked really good, like I'm just going out on in there and it looks great. Yeah, everyone looks good, like you like, give us a break, you know, But I thought you meant back then too. So some people were like, uh, they

look like white chicks the way in Brothers movie. We get that because we both have long blown hair, I think, and you know, whatever, we wear makeup, so maybe we look like men. I don't know, but I don't look in the mirror and see a man. But whatever. Anyways, the comments got to me yesterday and I was talking to Dave about it and like he's good about helping me, just you know, put it in perspective and they not let it affect me. It's really not about you, Jenny Garth.

They don't know me, so it can't be about me, but it somehow feels like it is. And then I think all my girls read these or see these, or I wonder how that affects them anyways. Blah blah blah. It's just I get it. Why why people you know don't like Kelly and um and I feel the same way. I just want you guys to know that I'm this is this one's not mean, but it's a good point. Brenda asked Kelly, you didn't tell Dylan about my father, right, and Kelly's like, no, no, no, I didn't. Good because

Dylan needs friends right now. And then the person's all, you're an f and liar you did tell Dylan? Why Brenda didn't go And then the persons like I need a mimosa after this episode, which is a fair, that's fair.

I just want to go back to a point you made a bit ago that it was really like relevant, because it's it feels like it's a double standard, like why doesn't Dylan get the comments like why, yeah, people loved him, but you know, like he was really Yeah, we all agree watching this back, we're like, gosh, we love the character of Dylan and This has nothing to do with Luke. You guys, this is well you know, or that's right how we feel about her our relationship.

This one's coming at Tori. Tori, is this a joke? And the other lady? I think I'm the other lady. They didn't need to tell her question mark, question question mark? How about telling the truth to Brenda so the ultimatum would be in equal terms. I cannot believe the crap I'm hearing right now. I said they needed to tell her.

I didn't know, but you did also you were like, I don't know if they should have told her, Yeah, and then you talked it out and then you decided, well, you guys were watching this as fans, so like you wouldn't say that to another fan that had an opinion. Everyone hasn't people go at it on on our chats. No, you're right, I just I don't know. But it's more at us because they feel like we could have changed it.

We couldn't have changed at this point. We showed up and said the words they told us to say at this point in the in the program. You know, I don't hired hired actors. Yeah, I still want people to have their opinions and have passion about it. And that's what's so amazing about our fans is that they still care so much about these characters and that and we

love that. Um but I you know the part where um uh Brenda's first well both of her fantasies about hurting in this episode, I was thinking, Oh my god, that's probably what the Dylan Brenda fans wanted to do to Kelly. They want to stab her with an axe, they want to cut all her hair off. It was when they went into it, like it was like so old school, like, oh god, the first one I really knew was a dream, but there was the other one with the hair questionable. Yeah. I was like the first

one I didn't know it was a dream. I was like, is this a flashback and something we missed? Like and they're just recapping so the audience season. I mean, obviously when I saw the acts, like I knew, but at first I was like, well, Brenda, good for you. Yeah me too, me too. But and then the second one, Kelly's hair was especially fluffy when she came through the door, so I was like, what's up? And then then then she turns to the mirror and I can clearly I

remember this. When we shot this, I had like a a full like a like a two pig. I don't know what else how to make it at their fake hair on the back of my head like clipped to the top, so there was like a big chunk of fake hair and then my real hair. And I have faint memories of just being really worried that it was going to go poorly and my actual real hair is gonna get Oh god. It took me a second because I had to cut the fake hair, the fake hair and drops it off. But she could have just easily

picked that would have been my hair. Rifying some laughs about it, like I was like, this is such a juicy tidbit. Okay, oh my god. Okay, so it was an extension kind of which I didn't even know they had then. So it's fake hair. She Hannon really had to pick it up and cut. I would have been totally panicked. She's pick up the wrong Yeah, And who knows if we were on good terms that day or not, Like I wasn't gonna say it hopefully she was, you know, like we were doing good that day because I remember

my hair getting cut off. But I remember being worried about it. I am stunned right now. I did not think speaking of hair, other girls talk about do you have a different part today? You the other girl like, like the fan said the other like, yeah, me no, but I just got my hair colored, so it's like it looks really good. Thank you always right after you get it colored. It's just a little bit. Thank you so much. You guys. Should we take a little break and then come back and talk more. I don't know,

I feel like we should. Okay, yes, I need to talk about Andrea. I need to reverse because I want to talk about Andrea. Okay, okay, wait, you want to talk about a hundre. Yeah, yes, because I actually, finally, finally, I'm totally into a storyline with her. They have given her the dumbest crap perming my hair or whatever it was. She got to go to the Yale thing, she got to see Jordan Bonner. Obviously they're having a connection, and we had the funny snobby Yale people guys are from Tahoe,

which has made me laugh. But like, at least it's a little meteor. I was thinking it wasn't annoying. I was I cared, I was like in the same thing, like, oh, look at Andre has her own separate storyline. This is interesting, even trying to balance the cup and the cucumber sandwich and the whole thing. I was like, I'm into her right now. Yeah, And she looked great in that little pink blazer. I didn't hate that totally. And I love it. He got a full scholar ship. She's on a partial scholarship.

And like she talks about her parents telling her not to worry, but obviously she's very concerned about money and paying for Yale. It's nice that she has somebody to talk to and be able to be truthful with. And I like their relationship already. Does it go? So I forget it? It does, guy, Yes, And this is why

I'm so excited about it. Not excited that's the wrong word, but like interested because I think I was telling you, guys, I saw that Dark Side of the Nineties show that Mark McGrath hosted Dark Side of Nineties and Gabrielle talks about how they wouldn't let her kiss him or something. This is that. Okay, we talked about this in Vancouver.

B h N answer for you. She was like, yeah, I forgot that yeah, nuts well, and she I'm assuming it's all accurate on that dark side of the nineties, but she's like badass because I guess there was also some controversy over her her Jewish Starnex wouldn't let her wear that, but we could wear crosses, so it was like and she really like fought and stood up for what was right, and she just no wonder she's sort of gone on to be like the president of SAG

and all these things because she's a big advocate for what's right and standing up for herself. And you always yes. So I just totally fascinated because I was watching that at the same time, and I'm like, oh my god, this is it. What were you equally fascinated with? Um? The way she spread her mustard on her burger. I knew it would bother you because it bothered me. Did that burger looks disgusting? I was just who does that?

I didn't like that she had onion rings instead of fries who puts mustard on to spread it with much time. He's usually just like blop it on and stick the butt on, like squ it down it mustard burger people, I mean, yeah, like a drop and then some catchup. I don't know. I felt it was very Andrea because it was different, Like I literally that burger looks rough and the burgerourned. It was like, yeah, disgusting really fast that anybody noticed that Iris's taxi looked like it was

from was from like yeah, Petle Juice or something. I don't know why. It was the nineties, Like why is cab freaking cab is always in our show? Have you noticed It's not just this scene, It's like they have that. I feel like that cab was parked out back at the stages and they just used it whenever they needed the cab, because seriously, I think so it's so wrong on every level. It was that the same cab that was in Melrose Place when Billy was driving the cabs.

Nobody has. Somebody has to check that because I'm pretty sure that's the same cap. I love Stephanie Beacham though I know you guys had her on and she's amazing and she's so ahead of her time, like the character of Iris. Like today, Iris would just be the coolest chick ever. Yeah, with all her meditation and mental wellness and crystals. I like her. I want to hang out with her signed those papers. So should she have signed the paper the trust over? Yeah, she had to meet

her opponent halfway? Mm hmm. Can I say the D word? Jack is such a D word? I was like, Dylan, you can tell Dylan Jack sucks? Yeah, why is he doing that? I know? And I want to like him so much? And you can tell, like you can tell when Luke is in scenes with him, how much he loved working with Josh, Like their connection is so great and so genuine, and it makes it makes it worse to know that something bad it's happen. See the connection and how much he wants dad to be great and

have that father figure. Yeah, it's that's painful. How much of an ass Jack McKay is stealing What a great actor Josh Taylor is though, because you just steal it, you're like money, ripping off his kid for something that seems criminal? Doesn't it seem kind of nefarious? Yeah, there's got to be something bad going on on the other end of that corded phone. Nefarious. I like that word. But you did wait. Going back to the Andrea and Jordan thing, do you guys he facts to her and

he facts her like a cute facts. What's wrong with facting? Nobody facts is anymore? But I do you remember having like this that relationship is bula bulah some sort of a Yale thing that I don't get. She's all buola bulah like it was something that I was like, I don't get it, but it's super cute. Way do you google it? What's bullah bulla mean? Oh? It must be like something they yell. What the audience even know? Like

that's a weird It's a Yale fight song. Contrary a popular myth, bulah doesn't mean anything in Hawaiian Hawaiian and the song wasn't written by Cold Border. The author was one Yale graduate Alan Hirsch, who adopted the song. Part of Me adapted the song from a song called La Hula Bula It's Yale's fight song. So it wasn't a song by Duke Ellington. Noope, I'm not that I see is the is the inner web of conflicting? It's a song by Duke Ellington three. It was released album I

thought they were cute, Jordan Bonner cute, so cute? Did you did you feel that it was kind of snoozy though with the storyline with Steve and um David, I felt like we've already done this, Like I hated that storyline. You guys though, here's a bit of trivia. Could you name the actress that played Paul Ittt the secretary? She became quite famous. Can I recognized her face? What? What? What? I knew who it was immediately? Who? Well, make it

a game, like at least like I don't know. Okay, give us a hint what she went on to do? What was she? ANYPD blue very famous for it. She works all the time, but she became very famous on NYP blanking. Yeah, just tell us, no, give us warmer hint warmer. Okay, let me try and give you one more. She wants to play this game. So's she's very cute, very very cute. Okay, that doesn't help, um hold on. Okay,

So she really became iconic on NYPD Blue. But she works constantly, like, oh, she was on Judging Amy for an episode, Lawn Order, she was on she just does so many different shows. After Shock Earthquake in New York that seems like a fired up she was on that comedy fired Up? Do you want me to just tell you? Was she ever on a soap opera or a horror movie, because that's the only way. And it looks like her second job ever was Beverly Hills nine O two one. Oh.

Then she was on an episode of Cheer. She ever on a soap opera. I don't see a soap opera. Caroline in the City, Fired Up she did twenty eight episodes and YPD Blue a hundred and three episodes. Well, it would be really helpful if either of us had watched NYPD Blue book, since we haven't. Can you just tell us what is the first letter of her first I can't. Sharon Lawrence. Yes, sorry, good job. Lawrence went on to do like a comedy. That's what I thought.

I was fired up. That was a comedy. I got confused. And then she was on NYPD Blue for like a long time. It's so fun to have those sightings when you see somebody went on to become super successful and we are trying to email her so we'll let you know. Oh my gosh, I didn't cause I was like, oh my god. It was literally her second job ever was job something I've never even heard of, So really I think this was like her biggest Okay, that'd be cool. To talk in that scene though, you remember when Steve

comes in carrying his suitcase. Did that suitcase bring back any memories for you? Suitcase? Briefcase? Sorry, look like a suitcase. It was goal. It was like a metal I think it's called Haliburton. Wait, what remember the metal like briefcases that that was all the rage at the time, and the guys were like, oh, yeah, you gotta carry Remember Luke have one in real life. I don't remember these the briefcases like metal. It looks like like I don't know,

something serious is in there. I remember how to make a deal when they opened the supercases that Luke had one in real life. I remember because even when he did um, that was called deal. Or he came to set carrying his Halberton even still then same Halbert how like cheesy sort of caricature. E was the record label guy bar Bar Would you do you think that David should have fired Steve or should he stay loyal to Steve? He should have stayed with Steve. Steve's been with him

since the beginning. I know it's a record label deal. Steves his friend. Like, It's not like Steve does this for a living. It's not like he's respected anywhere like that. People are like, oh, I know this manager great, Like he has no in anywhere. I know he believes school. Yeah, he just needs to stay his friend. No, why couldn't have just said if I make any money, I'm gonna give you ten percent. Right. He could have handled it direly.

He could have been like, here's what's gonna happen. I'm gonna do this, and he's gonna think I'm giving you up. But once I make it, once I hit big, we're back together, I promise. But he's gonna tell this guy he's a little harsh about it. Yeah, and then Steve was so mad, and it's like some eighteen year old, seventeen year old kid would be like, I get it.

I'm not even a manager. Do you do you find yourself watching the show ever and think like I always used to focus on the vein in Iron's forehead coming out whenever he had to do serious acting scenes for in real life when he gets mad. Yeah, but on camera, Like I'm talking like when you watch the show, because I now know what I did and like it bugs me now when I watch myself act. I hope not now, but when then my nostrils would flare, and it's so

distracting for me. When I watched myself act in the show, I'm like, no, that's nostril flaring sound. But now it doesn't even happen, Like why did it happen? Then? I don't know. It feels very weird. Flare your nostrils. Try it. I can't. Okay, I used to do that in serious moments. You can't flare my nostrils? Can you do it? If you try? Yeah, I'm doing it right now. Look I

can't see it. Oh wow, that's a special talent. By the way, wait, while we're noticing weird things, did you guys notice in the Walsh kitchen they had those red chilies hanging that were very of the nineties, Like no one has those anymore, but like definitely back then, like the things you can get if you're like visiting like Albuquerque, and I may or may not have bought those at some point at the airport. Maybe. Oh yeah, what is what is Cindy cooking up with those peppers? I wonder?

Oh my lord, and gosh they oh did you see her making bacon? Though? That stove didn't like they made a thing of bacon like on an electric grill, I think they used to call it, but it was on the stovetop. Yeah, that's different work, right, So then they cooked the bacon and brought it in because it was definitely brown. It was definitely brown. It wasn't raw bacon, it was it was it was in the process. Somebody was bacon. Oha, you better not eat that burger. Andrea

was either she would she would have. And I also noticed how large the front lawn is at the Walshes. It's very it is. It has like a little hill, like, yeah, lay on that on that lawn like on brakes or on lunch breaks. And we would lay under that big tree and the lawn and like because it had like like an incline and we would just lay on the Oh. But I remember most about laying on that lawn is that's where we were. And I don't know why they

were there filming us like a news crew. But the day of the o J trial when they announced um if he was guilty, like we were there and they had a camera on us. Do you remember this, Jen, And we were sitting right on that lawn. I have no idea why they thought it was important to film us like our reactions on the news, and I just remember thinking, like, have no no reaction, no reaction, because I don't want either anyone to get upset. Like that

was October. We're not even that hasn't happened yet, right, I know that's all, But that's just how And you were at the Walshes, Yeah, we're filming there that day. Maybe you know what. Maybe they were there doing like an interview with us for like Fox News or something. But they're like, oh my gosh, it's happening. They're announcing like like and they came and pat us as we watched it. It was weird. On a side note, Shannon's hair was amazing in this. When we came back, we'll

talk about hair and fashion. Thank you for doing breaks. If you didn't do breaks, I started doing them. I don't know how if I'm supposed to do them. It almost to run this show because we would just sit here gabbing, like and they put him in with her without me. But whatever, do we think that Jim could stop the money? Like like if I resigned it, does Jim have the power to say no? No? I don't

think so. Wow, is Jim wearing more makeup on the show. Now, I don't know, but he my accountant, actually dresses just like him now with the V next sweater. You loved the red and blue V neck, didn't you. It's like a tennis sweater at school. Like. I didn't care for Cindy's clothes in this episode. They were terrible much. But Iris, oh my god, I was mailed it so hard. She had a brown suede jacket with fringe and a cool dress and a belt. I'm like, all about Iris. Iris

is so ahead of her time. She's drinking green juice meditating. I'm like, go girl like her. You could tell Brenda was sad though, because she had that clip in her hair and that blue sweatshirt. Half the show. I know what, I'm sad. I put a clip that white click. Yeah, probably sad. You're sad. Put this here? Yeah, we mean we need he looks sad. Dylan had shirt that thumbs up thumbs up right here, like hey, and that Steve

was atrocious fashion. David not so good. No, but he's he's repping like the I'm a I'm a burgeoning rap artist in my matching pants and big giant jacket are the pain killers? A real group. Yes, no, I'm not the Killers, but I don't know about pain Killer. I've never heard of the pain Killer. Wait, google it, google it, google it, google it. Yeah, you're right, was sinking the Killers? I'm like, absolutely, you know what was sweet? While I google?

This was when Dylan kissed Iris's hand. Did you guys notice that at all? Very sweet? No idea if that was Luke's choice or a director told him to. Oh my god, there is a band called the pain Killers. Okay, yes, I feel vindicated. Wait didn't they have a hit song? I don't know if they're if they were around back then, oh, meaning they just made that name up. But then there actually was a band later near the end of so I think so we described little reference. Wait what song?

What's their big song? The pain Killers, also known as pain Killer, is a band that formed in combining avant garde jazz and grind core sounds. Not so, I guess, yeah, I was right in this time because it was like right at this time. Well, yeah, we were always on the cutting edge of music, so we didn't even know it. Somebody knew it, thank god, right, David Lose the Yachts. I think, I mean, I was so yeah. I like

the line. Um really ripped my heart out. When Brenda says to Brandon, I never thought it was a contest. I never thought that I would lose. Yes, And when she was crying and she's like, I can't do it. Daddy helped me. Oh he dumped me for my best and I can't get the thought just keeps going around and around in my head like I can't stop it. Oh God, it's all too real. She Hannon's so great during when when she has emotional scenes as Brenda, I'm always like, she's a great crier. Like I just always

feel like it's so real and you just yeah. But I guess we like that side of her, and we don't often get to see the vulnerable side of Brenda. So as hard as this, it's nice to see that it's not always just sassy pants. And I know it all complaining. Yeah, not to make light, but I did not care for the turtleneck under the blazer. Jack McKay, I don't like, Wait, but how do you feel that? Okay, when he comes he's shaving and then he comes out and he he's in this like a little tank fitted

tank top and it's fitted little trousers. There's not an inchtant. You can't even wedge a finger in those pants. Whoa they were like spandex. Oh my gosh, I forgot about um Donna's leather vest with the zipper that was like iconic. When was she wearing that in the DJ booth? Yeah? Yeah, there was some good fashion in here and this this wasn't all around I give this a thumbsup, thumbs up, thumbs up. It's an all around good episode. It was good Melky. I don't know why everyone still has to

call it mineral mineral water. Isn't it just water? I think you're sparkling water now, right, I think we call it sparkling. I know I've mentioned it. But when they say I think they're just trying to be like fancy, like showing like a mineral. And then what do you think about Brenda and Kelly? They say hello at the end of the episode start Star and the crystal from Iris. I just felt like I wouldn't want to be friends

with Kelly either. I do I was I am You'll stand by her even when she won't stand by herself. A couple of little tidbits to a couple important notes Kelly's not eating. M hmm, oh, I didn't even notice. At the at the dinner with at the Bellage, she didn't eat. Brandon is spending a lot of money that sweet stereo system. He bought some cheesy perfume for his mom and Brenda. I thought that was like that was

what that was? That was nice remember back then, Like I feel like that was a teenage, like you didn't know what to get parents and stuff. You would always get them. Boys would get perfume for their moms, stinky perfume usually that you never were never And then I love the scene with Iris and Brenda all around. What does she mean though? Like she said, your relationship with

Dylan isn't over. She's saying, this isn't the end, Like I don't you know the future, This isn't You don't have to be so devastated, like you're on a journey and he's obviously in your universe. There's more, there's more for you two, Brendon. They'll get back together. Oh yeah, there's some definitely some thing. I don't know if they

get back together. We don't tell us, don't tell us. Yeah, there's definitely more will be revealed, doesn't she stays for a minute longer, Shannon, she doesn't leave right after the end of this season. If you were thinking she does, I think, yeah, what she is leaving soon? Yeah, I think in four? Really learn three. I don't think she's I don't think she's in season five, right, that's going to Tiffany starts season five off the first Okay, so she goes through four though. Oh, but you think she

leaves like midway. Yeah, I kind of remember. Oh she goes like that. It's making me nauseous. Okay, let's talk about next week's episode. Next week, your homework everybody is to watch season three episode twenty one, dead End, And I guess you made a paramount plus subscrien. Yeah, I know. Sorry, or the DVD. I don't have a DVD player. I don't even have one. I do I do you guys send us one? Wait? Did you are have one? I

had one? I have one, and then Christel sent all the DVDs, so I've got the DVDs if I need to her, could we send you a DVD player? Tory? You did because I was like, I don't have a DVD player and you You're welcome. Yeah, it's so big, so so Jenny before we go, like, how do you feel like? I know that? Like, are you feeling better after the comments? Are you going to look at the comments? No, I'm gonna keep looking at them because I think that there's a certain value in knowing what um, what our

community wants and what you know. I read a lot of comments that people were very let down by last week's episode and and us not really going into it further in detail. I think part of that for me was that scene that the pool scene. I have talked about it so many times the past on various interviews and whatnot that I I sometimes kind of edit myself and don't want to get repetitive. UM, but I need to remember that people want to hear all about it,

so I will continue to read. And I appreciate we we love you know, knowing what you guys are thinking, and it's important to us. So even if it's bad, don't worry about it. We can handle it. Yeah, yeah, white chicks. I just also think men and drag, so I wonder about the time we laugh at that too. I mean, we want to remember, remember we made um. There was a picture we took in in Israel, and we were in the elevator and we're like, yeah, it

was just a very specific angle. We had a lot of makeup on because we had just done a commercial and we were like going out, like to dinner. On the way to the airport, we took a picture and we had blazers on. We're like, oh, we even said like that movie White Chicks, and I tried to edit it to put like the poster from White Chicks with you and me. Oh yeah, so we get it. We get the joke, like, I mean, how do you do? It's not like it's hurtful, but we laugh at it.

What are we supposed to do? Like we can't find humor and that stuff? That note Tory, I was going more and reversed to see if at the time if you remember having to sort of play middle to like, oh people hate Kelly, well hate Brenda. But we can talk about that next week. Okay, Yeah, I do have an opinion on that, Yeah, because I think you were always in that position as Donna. I was always that was my position, being the and it was because they were both my friends and yeah, yeah, okay, let's talk

about that next week. Yeah, Well, we'll talk about that we'll start with that next week. Alright, that's it for this week's episode. Love you guys, Love you Bye.
