It's nine with Jenny Garth and Tori Spelling. Well well, well, well keep saying well, well, well for like another hour. I don't know if that's good or bad. It ain't good. We're here with another episode, so that's really good news. That's good because we love you guys so much and we love doing this together. But this week's episode it was a stinker. Stinker really, like, I don't know if it was a stinker. I just was like, fine, I'm being dramatic or easily swede, but I think deep Dan,

I thought it was a stinker. You did. You didn't think it was a stinker. You saw it was never a stinker. I mean maybe not ten out of end, but like definitely not a stinker. Were you captivated the entire time and you wanted to keep watching scenes like pushing through to see what's gonna happen? What's gonna happen? Or did you find yourself a little zoned out at times? Thing ming ming ming ming inging fair No, not over here,

not zoned out? I mean, like I said, yeah, I love this show, like I am a number one fan really for wheals, but uh, this week I was like, is this almost over? How long is this episode exactly? I mean, you are going to hand it to dudes liked it more? Yeah, you want to know who I'm going to hand it to in this one? Who Brenda? This was a branding episode because you know what I like. She is not intimidated by Stewart's family even though they're

just gazillionaires and clearly they're like her dad's client. She stands up for herself. She's very comfortable. She's completely like comfortable. Okay, okay, something's something's rotten in the state of Beverly Hills. You are You were saying this because we had a comment last resonable that not yes you are, that said that you and I are Brenda haters, but this person Sorry, I'm just gonna go in because this person told me I should just stay mute, which Jen, how often do

I stay with? Yes? Somebody actually commented that you should just stay mute. Yes, but this person did say that they loved Jen on the show, and Jen is very PC and uh, here's the thing. Definitely hated tour in me think that you don't love Brenda and that everything sort of seen through that lens for you guys. Okay, so listen, here's the thing, and they kept switching out between Brenda and Shannon. Brendan, it's not anything really, it's a Shannon. We love Shannon. This has nothing to do

with Shannon. She played a character on a TV show. But it is our job, quite literally, to rewatch this and we're rewatching it as fans now. And we're huge fans of all eight of these characters. We loved them, and but we were there with Shannon. We were all as people. We get to have our experience of it, and if your experience at times wasn't always positive, then that's your experience and you have every right to talk about it. But we were talking about is that what

I was talking about? But if you should same with you? No, But I mean no, no, right, Wait, what do you mean? Are you talking character or actor? I'm talking either way. You get to say whatever you want to say about Brenda, you get Shannon because that's your experience experience. You're right, you're right, and then the viewer that doesn't like it

has the option to turn the channel. Right. But I think for the most part, we're talking about the characters as fans of the show, and we're allowed to have episodes where we think, like, hey, we like this character more, this character is annoying this episode. That's how friends talk about a TV show they watch. You know, they don't love the same character every single episode of Ers. And we're not going to withhold how we feel well accept

amy because apparently this Brenda. First of all, I agree, I couldn't agree with the way you both just said that. More just be I do find it fascinating that everyone blurs if you don't like Brenda, that you suddenly don't like Shannon. And I literally texted Jenny and Torry and I'm like, if I knew Shannon. First of all, I love Shannon. If only I knew Shannon, like I just I don't get how my opinion about Brenda gets translated

to Shannon. But whatever, I'm also not good. I'm saying my full, honest opinion and that sometimes I think Brenda is moody and poopoo e, but in this episode I thought she was sort of a baller. Is maybe convenient timing that there's a Brenda episode where I like Brenda and it does seem like I'm we're kidding, but it's conveniently times, But it's got we all agree that this was a good Brenda episode. Yeah, because she's she's really cool. I mean, she talked right back to Larry. Larry, let's

take it back to the top. Let's talk about Season four, episode seven, Moving Targets, aired October. Synopsis Brenda is moving fast with Stewart, Andrea wants to go public with Dan. Kelly is gravitating back to Dylan. Well. Dylan is spending time at the shooting range after his traumatic cardjacking experience. Directed by Paul Schneider, written by Larry Mullen. We like, Larry, how do we know Paul Schneider? I know that name? I don't. I only know one Schneider, and it's the

guy that was the janitor on that one show one day. Yeah, I like that one. I was going to sing it, but I won't use. I just love that I was thinking the exact same Schneider. Yeah, this episode kind of just felt like it just sort of like rolled along, like nothing really exciting happened. I don't know. It starts out in the peach pit with the fakest sorority meeting of all. Yeah, like they're going to have a sorority meeting.

How can they have a sorority meeting when it's just the four of them, aren't there a bunch of other people in the sorority that would need I thought they said they were going to a sorority meeting, actor it was so they said they were having it having because then they when I thought were having they met future. Yeah that makes no sense. But they are the popular ones, right, so they're they're sledges. They were popular so they got their bids, but now they're just pledges. So they would

be at the meeting with all the Kellys. Kelly giving Brenda a bunch of shade for dating a guy named Stewart, which which you know I loved because I said that about his name last week and that's like a plot point in this week's episode is his actual name, So I think it's pretty funny. She compares it to beef stew,

which you know, I love a good beef stew. But I don't want to be making out with someone named stew like beef stew meaty, hardy, and sticks to your bones, she said, which, really, which would you guys call him Stewart, Stewie, stew Urt. I don't want any of the stew stuff in there. I don't know. I would just call him babe unt babe. I agree my husband and I if they use our actual names with one another that if I accidentally call him, I'm like, say, hey, Dave, and

you take out the trash or whatever. He gets so mad at me because I've used his real name. Do you know anyone else like gets mad at you when you use their full name? You well, Jenny, that's funny. That's a whole TikTok trend. There's a whole TikTok trend of like couples saying like David, will you take out the trash, and then the guys like yeah, anyway, you're right on trend. But do girls talk like this? They're sitting around the peach bit table and they're discussing, uh,

whether who's lost their virginity? And then then they were I think it was Kelly that referred to it as writing the roller coaster? Did did girls that age talk like that? Do girls our age talk like? I don't under age? That's a man writing for a girl right there, people. And while we love Larry Mullen and only remember the best things, he was so cool, this is the second time we've seen an episode that we think is kind of oh, we notice it's written by a man, and

indeed it was Larry Mullen wrote it. You know, he's a very nearly man. There was a good who got pinned, who lost their virginity? That was do you guys know what penning is? Did we talk about pinnings? Like they know when they hold you down on the floor? Is that? What do you mean a wrestling move? You have been by a guy? Like it's there school like pin or it would be their fraternity. So like hag a keger keg boy wanted to pin one of the girls. It's

a big ceremony and it's kind of a surprise. So ours used to be like the room would be all dark and all the girls would sit in a circle, and I think a candle would get passed around and passed back and pass back, and then suddenly the girl getting pinned waves it out. Does it sounds like a cult? There? Did a girl's pin the guys too? Or is it? I don't like the boys pin the girl. It's like

a pre engagement kind of. It was fun though, and then all the boys come in in their suits, so all the girls are sitting around and doing this candle going around. Oh my gosh, So what if you're the one girl is sitting there and you don't get pinned? You feel like only one person gets pinned. Oh, there's like a hundred and something girls and only one girl's getting pinned. But if you're dating that guy, you know it's you. If he walks in or you don't know,

I'm pretty sure you know. And then you blow out the candle and a ceremony. It's like a tradition. Yeah, and then all the boys walk in in their suits and the boy doing the pinning, I think he actually puts a pin on. It's total. Can multiple people get pinned by the same guy, or once you give your pains to a girl, that's it. Um. I think that Andrea has been pinned, but not She doesn't tell us that she's been it because she was pissed. What at this with his creepy man hand the finger? No, No,

he didn't. He's not even in a fraternity is he? Other way? Oh, he pegged her. He pegged her. That means something else? What does peg means? Does peg means something else? Pegged lost her virginity? But she didn't tell them. Why why she didn't tell them? She would be Yeah, because she's not allowed to talk. Oh, but they know about him. I didn't believe that she wouldn't tell them

in that moment that she would tell them. I mean, if if they're giving Brenda shade for dating a guy named Stewart and neglecting the fact of pointing out that she's dating a guy that wears pleated pants the way Stewart does, then they probably would get around to talking about her losing her virginity. It just felt weird. Yo, I don't know. That was weird to me that she didn't. You only have one chance to share it with your besties,

like that's it. I wonder if when you're eighteen, you're still kind of because they're just freshmen, maybe you're still kind of like, I don't want to tell everybody that why? I don't know. I mean, I don't think I sang it from the rooftops, did you guys? Yes? I don't remember. No, I didn't tell anyone. Yes I did, Like, what do you mean I did? Who was it? Who I was? I was eighteen? It was my first boyfriend Ryan in

high school? But I did I remember calling my friends and we do like party line, I'd be like, you, guys, guess what they're like. No, I it happened. I didn't have friends. That's sweet. I've never played a call that's sweet. At the same time that that's the same version as when I hooked up with Ryan. I told you I'm screaming like basically from the rooftops at Disney, So it's the same you share that. I agree, but I don't know that I would like a learn it at the

peach pit. But we talked about last week about you guys didn't really feel that there was chemistry there, But I really genuinely felt that there was chemistry between Brenda and Stewart in this episode. What do you guys think? Yes, yes, we're still in Dan Ruben. That whole thing is weird too. We need to talk about that later. He's good hair, though I'm obsessed with his hair. The applause in the quad was just very odd. Oh my god, it's so like John Hughes, like pretty and pink. Like yes, it's

very John Hugh's but so unrealistic. Sorry, Jenny, we're going out of it. Okay, look at Jenny. She's reprimanding us with her eyeballs. Stewie, Stewie, do you guys like Stewart? It's all right, they do. I agree with you. They had better chemistry this week. I feel bad for Stewart because of the dad, the way he keeps referring to the way his parents or his dad specifically treats him. So I feel bad for him, But at the same

time I don't because look at his life. But at the same time, I'm like, then do something different, make it difference to come on, like, show your dad a new side of you, Like I don't understand. Get out from under his thumb, you know, Yeah, yeah, precisely. He's a little bit like rich boy syndrome, where where for me, my life sucks, but look at my life it's so amazing. Right, Like what does he currently do work? Boyse works for the dad, right, Really, I don't know. He said he

tried to be a realtor. He said he tried to be an architect, he tried to be a music promoter. Dad's not proud of any of it. So Dad was a bit of a jerk about it. Yeah, and that dad you've seen everywhere being that guy, like that actor totally. You know, did look so familiar? Track suit? Let me see what his name was? Did you like when she so so the dad's a stewart, get your rude self out of the pool. And then he kind of like, let let me tewel off or whatever, and then she

pushes him back in. It was sort of cute, it was it bothered me, Like, fine, he said, let me tell off. But at first I thought he was just like oky like to them, and I was like, that's so rude. He's not going to be like he's not going to greet the Walshes more than that. But he meant he had to tell off first. But it was weird. It was a weird beat because they were right there. Yeah, and Brenda was teweling him off, which was even a little weird to me. Like she very high one one piece,

very high cut. Oh she looked good nut totally wait to wait a great games. Way to show off a bathing, so that look good. Um. The actors that played Lawrence Carson. The dad is Peter Mark Richmond. He's in like everything so familiar looking. Yeah, So should we do you want to pause or should I keep? Should we talk about how? Then they play pinball and then she's like in the bathroom and the towel and the dad and all of all of it. Yeah, talk about let's talk for let's

finish out the Britons. Why weren't they play pinball? Was that a reference to, like my dad having a pinball machine in his mansion? Baby, I don't know. I just thought it was so bizarre. A lot of people pinball machines in their houses, like and they're not really still, But isn't it more like a game room type thing? It's not just like in your living room that looks like a designated game room sort of like fancy one. Yeah. Is anyone good at pinball? Isn't it? Just? Yeah, I'm

a pinball wizard. I'm good at it. There's it's a talent man, you gotta right now, I have sprained thumbs, so I'm a little slow in my game. But how did you spring your thumbs? Long story, both of them. Yeah, basically like a primate walking around right now? Um, But yeah,

pinball around you play? It still vintage if you go to a vintage place and they have like vintage pinballs round round where I live, like by an echo park to have it's like all pinball machines and it's a bar so it's really fun and there's like a Korean barbecue place that the kids can go to. It has like vintage pinball machines in a room there. Maybe I love you, Yeah, but did he say it first or

I mean, he doesn't have to say it first. Sorry that's being sexist, but I'm just saying like it was said. It was. It was so quick and like thrown away. Yeah, I didn't didn't land on me. I think I don't really what. Did they love each other already? No? He kind of said, like, what are you doing for the rest of your life? I couldn't possibly love each other yet. They might really like each other and being lust with each other, but I don't think that they could love

each other yet. It was weird. She said that it's very strange. Yeah, and then I thought, then Stewart comes into the is in the room and Brenda's in the bathroom, and the dad comes in and he's sort of like, oh, you shouldn't behave this way. But they're old, Like that dude's old. He's like a little bit of a braddy teen kind of, isn't he like four. Yeah, and it's a weird it's a weird storyline. I'm not sure what's

going to happen. I'm bored. I'm not bored by them, but I will give Brenda props even though everyone thinks I'm just being kissed assy. She isn't intimidated by their well, I can't look at Jenny right now, I'm not looking at her. She's not intimidated by their extorbinant wealth. She talks right back to Larry, and she's funny without being totally inappropriate, but she pushes it. She's a little sarcastic.

She definitely is like not very confident again, very very very very confident for Brenda, for for a girl her age in this situation. Yes, okay, let's go back and talk about fingers McGee. What do you call him? Dan Ruben long man fingers um. First of all, I gotta say, why is the only thing this episode that people eat yogurt? Because Dan Ruben is eating yogurt in bed. He drifted on his body but made so much out of it.

It was like he was eating the furniture, which is the term we talked about, like when people are just like like it was distracting, Like at first it was cute they dropped him. Then he kept like touching it. I'm like, okay, oh my god, how could I have missed this? Did I dropped it on his chest and like scooped it up and was going to eat it again, Like I was like, was that? So he did that?

But then that didn't completely get it off. Then he takes his long man finger and scoops it up and licks it, and I was just like, and then he kept wiping it him, Like how much yogurt did you spill on your chest? That it consumed the whole scene. And that's what one take wonder because unless no, I think you're right, Tory, one take like, it's not like, do you think he did that in every single take?

There's nothing I've been more curious about. And then that and then there's a scene later on which we'll talk about later that John Sears is eating yogurt on campus. Wow, I didn't even notice what people are eating. I gotta I've gotta watch with a more detailed I do you think that they just had a fridge full of yogurt for Dan Reuben? And then they're like, we've got some leftover John eat this. The props department was like, we got this old bag of chips or this yogurt choose, No,

they do. They come up to you. I don't know about guest stars, but for the main cast, they came up and like, hey, what do you want to be eating in this? But it did make me think with those two yogurt eating scenes, I was like, that's right. That was a big thing then in the nineties because they used to always offer us yogurt if we were eating in a scene. We're talking yo play, not humphreeze, No, I'm not frozen yogurt. Yogurt was place remember in the

it was pretty nineties. It was pretty nineties. Yeah, I like that place yo play. That also makes me cough, So I think that would be very hard when you're acting. It's not fun eating yogurt in a scene and talking like you spit in stuff like yeah, but they always offered it. So apparently, yeah, Dan Ruben and John Sears had all the leftover yogurts that the main cast were like, we're not eating yogurt in the scenes, we give it

to give it to the guest stars. I didn't understand so much why Andrea, Okay, so she really is into this guy. She really wanted to lose her virginity to anyone at that point, but luckily Dan Reuben came along and they worked out. But then she she's already upset about not being able to go public with their relationship, like it's consuming her brain. Like everywhere she looks, there's a couple of kid things, and you know, she's really caught up in this struggle that she can't be out

and about with her boyfriend. And I was just like, well, you just got you just I mean, I didn't get it why she would be so intense on that or why was her virginity to this guy, Like that's a bigger thing than if she's just dating someone. And he's like, we gotta keep been under wraps, right, And he was weird too. They just was weird. And then they I'm sorry, but the applause that was weird. He's right, it was John hughesy but yeah, but it just what it didn't.

I didn't have the impact that John Hughes kissing scene with applause would happen? What happened? And why would they first? It was so WTF, like what it was weird the way it happened, and and where it happens. There's people kissing everywhere, so yeah, yeah, and kissing someone. They're big coming out the moment, and what for them. You're right, no one knows who the hell they are. It's weird, weird, weird. Oh my gosh, she's doing oh yeah, and she alludes

to I'm going to do a flying cannon ball. Remember, recommends that like a callback. They like, there's a reference to a handonball earlier. You should jump in, preferably naked or something. All kept saying naked is good, Naked is good. Jesson said that to Andre and she's like, yeah, naked, I mean, Brandon, this is weird. This is a good episode. We're picking it apart. I love it. I have questions, but you guys keep going. I have a question. Yeah, why?

How how did Aaron baby Aaron gets so large? Like sap opera. Yeah, she's adorable, she's adorable, but it's clear to see that she's terrified of her sister, Kelly. I did won't even notice that that you? No, she hated me? I guess yeah, probably because I was always like fighting with David in those scenes like there was a lot

of like agitation between those characters. And sometimes when you work with a baby or a child and you're playing a scene where you're upset about something or fighting with someone or stressed out about something, the baby that you're holding in the scene up, poor little actor baby is exposed to all that bad juju. They're like, don't know, really mess them up for the rest of their life.

I did not even think about that. That baby doesn't know it's acting and some strangers holding it first David's and then get pastor. Yeah, mom fighting in front of the baby with Mel and his tennis outfit, brings Nina over and her tennis outfit, and Jackie just went a because Nina was what like one years old? Yeah, Mels up to his old trip. He shouldn't have brought anyone there. It's gonna go to his son and daughter in law's beach house. Come on to pick up his daughter. You're

not the daughter in law. Yeah, wait, you're talking about me daughter in law, not in law his stepdaughter. Right, but they're not like are they formally divorced? No, but you're the daughter with me guys, right, she's the daughter in law. So he's going, no, you're the daughter in law because you would be marrying his son was six years from that. I get it, I get it. I

get confused. You guys ever, stepdaughter, it's confusing. Okay, So then what is Kelly steptopdaughter former step daughter, former stepdaughter? Oh my god, I didn't know there was math here. It's upsetting. But it's a drama in that kitchen, in that department for for what, Like I didn't understand also why David and Kelly were so mad at each other for their parents, totalist screpens. He's like, what, it didn't

seem like they would be be that way. That apartment needs to be saved after this episode, Like a lot of negative energy coming through those doors. How epic though, when Donna says, can I say something here Kelly and it, Yeah, that's very true to life in a situation like that. That's a about how it probably would have gone down, and you just stand there like, okay, interesting sort of side story, like where did it all come from? Like Mill and Jackie and Donna and David. Yeah, like is

that that? They don't have enough to fill the forty four minutes, right, there's so many other storylines, why that one in here? It was too much and too much of non juicy storylines. That's my problem with this episode. Well, to be honest, there wasn't really a lot of juicy in Stewart and Brenda either didn't feel juicy. I mean, there's nothing amongst the main characters. There's no stuff between the main characters. We got a little bit of Dylan

and Kelly, but other than that, there's nothing. In fact, Okay, this drw me crazy, you guys, can I bring this up? Throughout the episode, they would stay on a shot and you would see, you know, two characters having a talking scene, and then other main characters would pass by and they will emily pan and go with them over and over again.

I'm like, oh, that's convenient, They're all there. And then I was like, oh, as if Brandon's gonna just walk by Andre and not say hi on Tampas, I don't know, And like I didn't like all that, and that was connecting the little non juicy storylines. I'm sorry, you guys, I'm not happy. Disagree. I thought it was so West Wing the West, so so that's very errand Sorkin like, it was like walk and talk and so you start. I kind of was like I wrote that down. I'm like, oh,

that was cool. So it was like, starts on the people. Do you shoot? That is one thing. No breaks if they're walking, Yeah, until they stop and get to a part of the scene, if they stop and then turn into each other, and then they go over like because it was three parts, it starts on two people, then it came over the next two people, and then it went on and moved to the other people. Those scenes

and it just didn't feel very nine O two one. Oh. I guess that's why I was like, yeah, yeah, those scenes are fun to shoot though, because there's like beforehand and the rehearsal process. There's choreography involved in timing, and then it's kind of got like this exciting energy about it when you shoot it, because if one person messes up, then the whole SHOT's ruined. So it's like it feels like a big team effort when you're doing a scene

like that. It's true. You know, people nowadays they'll do like a live episode, Like not nowadays, I guess before like did a live episode. Imagine if they did that back then and we had a live episode of nine O two one out it would be awesome. That would have been ship. Okay, now, I okay, I don't want to hesitate during this up. But at first I thought Andrea might be pregnant, meaning Gabrielle was pregnant, because I noticed she was like holding stuff. But then I realized

she wasn't we think that every episode? And then she was not because life, yeah, and it's almost time for her. Then when she really did have a baby, yeah, right, So I think I'm getting it's getting over my skis on that. So we can we go back to the beginning for a second. Can I just ask you? Did you notice that the police officer was unusually rude and Dylan was unusually rude? I'm like, why are they like

just so mad at each other? A lot of hostility that you'd think the police officer would be like sensitive to this kid that got carjacked, And then you think Dylan would be like, well, this guy didn't do it, so I might as well be nice to him. And then who messes up a Porsche for a Honda Civic. I was like, wait, is there something else involved? Here? Is something else coming? No? Amy would now not that I remember at all nothing with his dad, Like there was a reason he got car jack It wasn't just

a regular carjacking. Okay, no, I don't think so, but I just thought, well that was it was very like set up to be that kind of like stressful energy there, and then that was weird because you're right, wouldn't necessarily have been. Another little note is that David Gail was credited above joe E. Tada, which I also thought was surprising. I think David Gale was like special guest star. His name was above, so I thought, oh wow, he must have been somebody somebody or just had a good agent.

They keep going to that Falcons club too. Yeah, I decided last week I said, I thought it, that looks fun. This week I decided I don't want to go there. Yeah, well I don't want to go over it too crowded or for you Yeah, just like weird people doing weird dance moves in a weird space. I don't know. Gross. Yeah, have two more questions for you guys. So one is back on Andrea with her drama with Dan, and she's like, I looked it up. There's not a no fraterization rule.

So she obviously was like heavily researching their relationship. I was saying, fraternization, fraternization. Why can't she stay in his room? Like what's the difference between sneaking at it two and sneaking out at six or seven? And why can he stay in her room? And it's no no problem. I'm I'm kind of befuddled by it. Right, he can sneak out of her room and it's fine, but she can't sneak out of it. I guess, yeah, it's the same thing.

Or is it all fine? They just don't He doesn't think they should do it in case people see, or it's not fine. I don't remember. I'm just he you could do about nothing to say, we could go to your room or she said that. I don't know. It was weird, like why he came over and they played scrabble scrabble? I don't know. Then, what do you guys think of when Brenda comes home at three am and the Walshes are sitting on the chair or sitting on

the stairs. First of all, that's very unrealistic, okay, because I've been up a few nights when my girls are late, and you don't I don't ever sit by the front door. I guess they didn't have cell phones. Then you know what, maybe I would have if if I didn't have any idea where my kid was, I would be more stressed out. I man, then just sit in the kitchen and wait for me. But we and were you over eighteen or under under? Yeah? Because Brenda's over eighteen, right, yeah? You la?

And she's like, you're lucky I came home at all. And he says, we have to have rules, young lady. And it's like, do you like isn't she just sort of like living there now? But she's not like a kid. I think it's a respect thing for your parents. You're under their roof, you fault, you know, you have respect for them and their rules, and you respect them enough to not want them to be up all night worrying about you. I thought she closed the door in such

a strange way. Was she trying to be quiet? It's these things that you and then it was just dropped like they were like you need and then it's just like, well, okay, do what you want. What it's very weird, and it's like Brandon can do whatever he wants. He's Brandon standard. Other than the basketball, he's it's he's there starting up a news story for him with Sean? Was that as the character's name? Another storyline Chris Williams though that actor

is still totally working. He's great. Yeah, I remember just having a really good time with him on set because he's in more episodes. I don't know how many more. But I wait, don't I go out with him? What do you mean? How do you go out with him? Your donna here with David? Do you break up with David? You guys? He something big happens very soon. Amy, Wait, why are you laughing? I say something wrong? No, you just revealed it, and Jenny has no idea. I mean, do I date? Do I date? To shun? That part?

I can't remember, but I mean, obviously we know that there's some drama coming. It was something to be excited about. I just that that storyline bore me. I'm sorry. So many of the storylines were just like in active that. I was just like, I don't know, I don't care about him. I don't know. I'm meeting some running for the basketball and tutoring. Well, do you care about are cold at Dylan's going down? Yeah? I care about that. I mean, there was a lot of guns for me.

He's start mashing. He turns over. I'm like, oh God, and the Sketchy guns seller, right, you can go in there and if you're under eighteen, apparently you can buy a shotgun, but you can't buy a handgun. Yeah, what is that? But if you come back after hours? I was like, I don't think this storyline would get on today? No, I think wouldn't. I think Fox would have shut that down, like no way or no way. I don't know. I could be wrong. I'm just pontificating. Why does he take

Kelly shooting because he's mad? Was that protect himself? They supposed to be on a date or like, were they supposed to be hanging out or was she just snucking checking in on him? Yeah, because she's like, I'm going to be part of your life and she's checking in on him, and this is what he's up to, because he's now like he's going to take his protection into his own hands. By the way, Donna did date just Sean. I just looked it up. It was only one date.

Can you not spoil it for me? Trying? Oh? Sorry, your mobs, Jen, I mean I don't Yeah, I'm not a fan of the the gun thing. I know I wasn't either. So much more drama for Dillwig, Like he's it's always something for this poor cat and it doesn't end. It's I know that there's always so much more coming. Okay, should we talk about another storyline? I was bored with? Which Steve's storyline? What was it? I don't know, I

forgot the keg House. Yeah, yeah, they have the cliff notes or whatever, like fat aren't they insinuating that they cheat or not? Really they well we don't know yet, but it's okay. This is crazy. How can we go from loving the college episodes loving it one week to just being totally bored. We know there's always episodes that have to tee up what's coming, and I think I'm more okay with those than you guys. I want constant entertainment.

Here's the thing. You put some juicy storylines in there that we want to see with actual main characters together, and then you sprinkle in the teeing up stuff. But to have it all around these like little storylines that we don't really care about. Yeah, this episode had a lot of like a little bit little bit, a little bit, a little bit you know what this is when I knew that I didn't like this episode because I actually liked John Sears in this episode. I was I was

so desperate for something to like that. I was like, Oh, he's actually adorable in this episode. I really like him. Yeah, he was kind of cute and give me something. He was he was vulnerable. I like that about him. He was like, Kelly, are you giving me not the run around but the donut wheel? What was he saying? Another dude term? And then he had to explained it to her two car? Is it a car term? What was it?

Do you remember when he was like, first of all, Dylan comes in the background is looking at the metal art pieces and touching them in the background of John Sears shot, just trying to like steal the scene because he does. Basically he's mission accomplished. Yeah, that was not directed, you guys. That's very that's all like He's like, Okay, if you really want to use you in the scene,

I'm gonna do this. Yeah. It's so funny that when you say that, it's immediately I know, I literally have a polaroid picture in my mind of him with those weird gold statues, like doing something weird. That was funny. But seriously, John Sears says Kelly, because she was walking, I have to go talk to Dylan. Are you are you spinning donuts? Yeah? I don't know what that expert means. Kelly didn't either, so then he further explained it, and

I'm still confused. I don't know. Was it the car reference? Yes, but yeah, female audience, don't make a car reference when you're talking in terms of romance between two characters. Yeah, like we're doing donuts here? Yeah, did you guys have any fashion that you liked at all? I've still got best appearance by a newspaper movie listings. I was like, remember when Dan Reubin and Andrea are looking through the paper to look at the movie? Remember remember when he

used to do you used to do that? You had to look in the paper He's playing. That was fun. That was pretty legit. Now you just StairMaster got a shout out. StairMaster got a shout out. Yeah. Wow. Do you think they paid for that? No? And you think maxwells is paying for all their plugs because Maxwell's got another plug. At the beginning of max episode, when she's wearing the black dress, she bought it with her first paycheck, Max Fields, and it was like it wasn't called max Field.

Oh sorry, did I say Maxwell's Max Fields? That made well? Sorry max Field? Would just think at the Malibu Country Mart. Isn't there a Max Fields at the Malibu Country Mart? There's one of Melas. Yeah. Um, I really liked Kelly's big oversized jean jacket that she wore like that. I was like, is that Dylan's jacket? I really liked it. I did not care for David's um jeane short his shorts jorts, his jorts with the black sneakers and white scrunchy socks. A fan of that look. But I did

like your short shorts. I liked your short shorts shorts. I'm a big fan of Brandon Walsh's walk, Like when we really get to see him walking, for me, it's sc x y walking. I really like the way he I noticed that when he came into the basketball gym and then he made that shot in his jeans. That's a very Jason walk, Like we can all impersonate that walk. I'm a big fan of that. He's a very he's got a very confident walk. Yeah, now you're very correct.

We talked about this last week. The fashion has become more how do I say it, Like it doesn't stand out as much like it's it's it's like a subcategory of the nineties, Like it's like a offshoot. Yeah, it's it's wallpaper as opposed to But Brenda had some great choker chalker's jokers on this week. She did, but I feel like, wow, it's I didn't notice it then because it was the thing. Everyone wore chokers, but like over use of chokers, it's a lot. If you're into chokers,

why not wear them? It was a little distracting. I found it so many too many chokers. You know what you said though about you said this last week about the fashion, how like it started out strong and it was the nineties, and then it's kind of entering into a new nineties, and then it'll be a new phase. Before long, I was thinking about the eyebrows. I was thinking. I was thinking about that happened with the eyebrows then, like they were regular bushy eyebrows and everybody started to

go super thin, and now bushy eyebrows are back. So here's my prediction. O, God, don't say it's coming back. Oh my, I'm gonna be so on trend you guys, because I never grew back the same. I was literally about to go, yeah, thank you too for this, because I we were copying everything you guys were wearing, So we were all wearing those same chokers. Literally, I have pictures from my sorority of like wearing exactly what you

guys were wearing. There's a picture of Jen and I at the Emmy's which we look great, but we were presenting and we both have the craziest dark pencil. We had platinum hair be pencil and short and pencil thin eyebrows and dark. Look that picture up. I know exactly what you're talking about. And I was wearing a black dress. I remember it. Um it was the Emmys because it's the one and only time I've represented at the Emmy's. Four let me teme? Am I wrong? Like the People's

Choice were only one field later? Was it this? Yeah? Look at those eyebrows? Wait? What what? What award show is it? I think this? I googled Tory Jenny Emmy's and this is definitely the Your skin tone in that picture is apparently you went to the tanning salan. I did not because it's a little bit after this because it's Jenny's short hair, have short hair here. But even I noticed this week I really focused in on Brenda's

eyebrows and they're they're getting they're getting thinner. I mean they look pretty, but there I'm not going, yeah, no, it look a little thinner. I noticed. Man, it's happening. It's very exciting. If you look at Brenda's eyebrows season one, they're like a ten out of ten. They're perfect. Yeah, and now, well Jenny Garth called it first, they're coming back. I think you're right, good call. Yeah, well you're going to be so happy. No, actually, I like kick her

eyebrows now, you're just jumping on the bandwagon. Maybe I feel like, like Lily Collins, she didn't have those right. I feel like we've been really negative this week. Um about this is negative or speaking our truths. Speak for yourself. I liked it. I wouldn't bump anyone out. If you guys liked this episode, let us know how we were wrong, because I think we love to be wrong. But just there's there's no and if you love this episode, you're totally okay to love it. We just didn't microwave pie

or something micro. I didn't get the reference. He's like, she's offering you pie, and I was like, when I just miss I don't. I don't get it. This is Walsh. They're always just like making her sort of cook something while she contributes to the scene. You know what I was thinking while watching Mrs Walsh. I don't know why, because I guess I was worse. I was thinking of other things to focus on. But I was like, wow, Like, no one did botox and filler and stuff like that

back then. So here's a woman like in her parties. Yeah, like and she's on camera with these girls who were teens, and I was like, and she didn't know she could do a little botox and make everything a little tighter, take out your wrinkles. And she looked great. She didn't her skins, but her skins flawless. Which makes me think, is there something with starting botox? Because you know, twenty year olds do botox now and they say it's so preventative for your muscles not to scrunch them too much.

Is there something in like starting botox too soon that in the long run, like if you stop doing it, you're just like, crip, keep your like, I don't want to find out by the way, I'm just throwing it out there. I would think my sensibility leans towards If you start messing with your face early on, you're going to end up with trouble down the road as you

age inevitably. And that's why it's so risky. But Cindy looked amazing, and we would all look amazing on camera if the um society hasn't like set this bizarre, unhealthy, you know, stigma on how women should look. I think that and we've all just lost our concept are basic ability to look at something and see the beauty in it objectively? Was the society you speak of, who's this?

We had a little. We contributed to it a lot, Like women are the ones that started being like I have to look this way, I want to look this way, or you feel like it's because they're comparing themselves to other women that are so public. WHOA is that an excellent question, Tory that you just asked, because and I want to ask you guys like you both were so thin in this show, right, Were you so thin because

you were so thin or were you chasing something? And then we're seeing it and we're chasing that, and it's like this full vicious hamster wheel, Like do you see what I'm saying, Like you're saying you guys were guilty of it, So it's like you're right, like because in a sense, I'm watching it trying to be like you guys. Who were you guys trying to be like or putting pressure on yourself that we're all just chasing your own tail.

I mean, I was thin just because I was thin back then, which I can say that because now, yeah, your but your parents are both very fine boned, thin people. Like I'll tell you who I was looking up towards and chasing would be Jen and Shannon mm hmm. That would weigh on me daily just being in scenes with them, and it's my perception, but like god, they're so beautiful and I have to be in scenes with them and I don't feel I live up to that. So I was always chasing, like how to look prettier to be

like them, which I created that. So that's why I'm saying the question is society for sure pushes it, but we have a choice in it. I guess it's just because when you're you're just so overexposed to it constantly though, Like if you if all you're looking at is girls looking a certain way. Mm hmm, you're right. And I have to admit I have never focused on it so hard as I am starting to this year at forty, because all I am fed is You're right, j Lo

at fifty, um unattainable. So different, Yeah, but it it kind of hurts like you're just like, whereas before I was always okay with my body, I'm starting to be like, and the people are when you had five babies. I'm like that it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter why my body is the way it is. I want into that body.

J Lo has it. Well, they were tough on those sex in the City ladies when they came back in what way they dragged them as the gen zars would say that because they had their hair gray or they said they looked like people really were not were they did they look natural? Was that the problem? Mhmm yes, And people said that doesn't look good. You guys should have looked better. Yes. Yeah, she were like, oh they're they're old now, and like I think I don't want

to misquote her, but I think Sarah Jessico. Parker's point was like, yeah, we're older, like it's been however many years, fifteen ish years send sex in the City, So yeah, I mean it's it is rough for celebrities that are getting old. It's rough out there, PiZZ It's like because they will, yeah, fifty, like this goddess Michelle Obama talks about it, We never looked better, Like it's it's not

about like for me, it's about staying healthy. I'm so freaked out about being fifty years old and growing into this next phase of my life. I want my body to be running at as best as it can so that it keeps running. And because so I don't want to get old, you guys, because you don't want to be You don't want to be physically old like that you can't do the things. I don't want to be slowed down. Did you guys ever have like a weird moment where you're in the dressing room not dressing room,

what's it called dressing room? Trailer? Trailer trailer and like something didn't fit and somebody gave you a hard time, or like did you feel pressured to fit into the clothes? Like what was that like, it's always awful when you are in a fitting and something doesn't look flattering on you. You put something on that they think it's going to look amazing on you, and they're like, this is our favorite and they you put it on and it doesn't look good on your body type it does you feel

like a failure. You're like, so, is there something else I can try? And then they are like, Okay, well let's go back to the drawing board. And you know, it seems like a pain in their side that we didn't look good in their outfit, you know, But yeah, that's happened a million times to me. I can And what about like even like Shannon in that high cup bathing suit, which obviously she's so pretty, but like to the pressure of knowing you have to wear that thing

the next day or whatever. Yeah, I mean we were young, though, I think that we just we took it for an advantage that you mind is just different when you're younger. About Yeah, i'd be interesting to ask the moms, you know, from nine o two one oh if they felt pressured because you all looked so young and amazing, you know, because I think Mrs wallsh typically wears like wrap when she's got like more of a bathing suit on, like

they dress her completely different. But no, no, Yeah, they made question and I remember and saying that that was really stressful for her because she was it was very difficult for her to know that she had to come to work the next day and wear a bikini and she was what thirty eight five forty? What how old was she then? And not for nothing like I mean, I know, look, Iron looks freaking awesome now we all know, but like he had a lot of shirtless scenes, Like

was he feeling pressure or did the boys just look good? No? I think the boys felt their own kind of pressure to keep there looks a certain way. Mm hmm. Absolutely, I cannot think of anything. There is no money you could pay me to wear a bathing suit on camerah, I there's I mean, I was about six months to prepare.

But would you do it right now? If you had to be in a bathing suit on a show like nine o two and I was like what Brenda was wearing, I would definitely do it and know how to shoot it and make sure that I had a lot of body makeup on like the ways around it now. But you can't. Let's say it's to show your cast into and you're not a producer and you can't control it. I would want to wrap on. Oh god, I said it. This is Walsh and it could be like you to be doing in the scene, just like fop you have

to do Brenda and Brenda's sacks. She just had to sit and walk towards camera. Not a big deal, you can get I'm going to go on the record. I don't think I could do that if I have to walk. Uh, because you make it happen. You're stressing me out right now, Like I'm feeling like stressed. Yeah, how about like it shoots different photosho brace your body and who the f cares? Because I don't think because I know what makes me not feel good about my body is my own doing.

That's the lack of working out and your worst critic. So because of that, everyone's like, you look great, But in my head, I'm like, but it could be tight and this is my doing. Like I could have done some simple weights over the years and I didn't. I chose not to because I was like, oh I'm fine, I'm fine, and come to the gym with me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, one day. This could be a whole episode. It's like,

that's the thing that I know. I mean, everybody, it's like it's about nine o two and oh, but it's like about so much more pressure under russure. Well, I mean, we could talk about this for a while, but I feel like, what's it? Guys? Yeah, what do you give this episode? I'm ready, I'm ready with my hold hold please hurry up. You take so long? What are you gonna give it? I know I'm giving it this look, Tory, you gave us three? Oh god, what in the heck? Oh my god? More and more mad it at it

the more we talked about it. Amy seven. Yeah, I gave it a five because it just felt very not here nor there. I wasn't you give it a beautiful five though, I wasn't happy about it. But next week, I feel like things are going to get so much better. It's it's episode eight next week, y'all. Twenty years ago today, that's the title. Oh, it's going to be good. So that means the seventies, right, twenty years ago today would be seventy three. If it's a smell of flashback episode,

I'm excited. It's hardly not this show, though. I will say that, like I want especially even this week, because I was on the weeks when I love the episode, I want to keep watching it. On the weeks when I don't love the episode, I want to keep watching it because I want to love that. I want to love it again. Yeah, you're right, Yeah, very hard to bench. But I'm not doing it. I'm not I'm not watching ahead. I don't like how it ended either. I didn't think

it was a juicy ending. It was just like I thought there was one more thing that was going to happen based on Yeah, and then it was like, no, there's the credits. Okay, yeah, it's choice. Well, and here are our credits. You like that was good? Oh god? Alright? I don't you both are beautiful. I feel like I'm throwing that away. But you're beautiful to get you in a bathing suit and put you on TV. It's more about how we feel about ourselves and situations than how

others perceived us. I think other people are harsh. I'm trying intermittent fasting. Anyone else tried it? Did it work? It works? Yes, I've tried it. It works. Is that part of the one we did somewhat, yeah, but yeah, definitely Randy Mr Showbiz big, intermittent, faster. Well, look, he's very thick, very fit, fit fit. Yeah, boys probably want to be called fit. Not pardon me? Yeah, Oh jacked Jack always right there, just waiting for his moment. Iron

is iron is jacked ian is Jack? Sorry, will make Randy turn on his camera right now? Please? Please? Yeah? Okay, do you want to keep talking about infesting? I don't understand that. Save it for next week. I'll save that in my tomato sandwich recipe for next week. I stole it from Katie Kuric. Yeah, oh I want to hear about that. I'll tell you, okay. I love you guys. Bye,
