It's with Jenny Garth and Tori Spelling. You guys, Hi, I'm very excited. It's another episode of Anna to a OMG. But it's the big Donna episode. Oh my gosh, it finally is here. Donna Martin graduates. Are you excited? Amy? I mean I'm pretty giddy. Did you guys see my shirt? Yeah? Donna Martin, that's so cute. It's so icmment Alma Martin graduated. What was What is it like for you guys to watch it? Oh my gosh, it was really emotional. I was so emotional. But we'll get to it. She doesn't

want to like tell you yet. I mean, just yeah, give me your give me your overall because it's there's there's something so amazing about it. But there is a little cringe e too, Like it's such bad. It's so dramatic. Johnna like basically gets um persecuted, full fully accused for drinking. I mean they might as well just put you in a straight jacket and sent you away for twenty years, Like that's how they were treating it. Yeah, substance abuse program,

like expelled for what else? So mean yeah, suspended summer school, can't graduate? I can't even see your friends anymore. Felice has locked you up in the tower and we'll let you out. I'm legit. I'm more scared of your mom police now than I was then. Yes, she was terrifying in this episode. Fine. I was like she was like a horror movie that that caliber. Oh my gosh, you know what. She reminded me have the mother and Carrie. I was gonna say Friday, Oh, and I bet to

go with to you. Oh my gosh. We gotta get just get into it. You guys. I don't even care how you are. I just want to talk about so sweet. Look, I have to sign you guys made me. I have to sign to Look, Donna Barton graduate, Wan Martin masturbate, I mean graduates. I think to hold that up? How to do that? Back then we're talking about let's talk about it. Let's season three episode Something in the Air,

aired on May twelf synopsis. Following a little advice from Gil Myers, Brandon and the rest of Donna's friends joined forces to help her in a major school protest when she is suspended from school and has threatened with not graduating for getting drunk on senior prom night. Directed by James Whitmore Jr. Written by Steve and Jessica Steve Wasserman

and Jessica Klein. Yes, yeah, your's my first question for you. Okay, you are not in the most iconic, one of the most iconic scenes of the entire run of Nino Too, But it's all about you. Were you there when they shot it? I was not. I was not, So there is not. Literally, I'm not embellishing a week that goes by in my life that someone doesn't come up to me and say, can you just say it? Can you say it? Um? And it's funny because Donna never actually

said it. It was said about her Donna barn graduates. I always obliged and say donnamarann graduates, but I never said it. Jenny, what do you remember? I remember, I don't remember being in front of that like office whatever the place. Where was the court house? I felt like I was going to court for a felon, But I don't remember being there right where I remember shooting that,

so I'm completely mistaking it with something else. I remember shooting Dona Martin graduates, that whole chanting holding up the sign thing. I remember shooting that in the stage where the college was in that courtyard. You know that courtyard? Wait? You remember shooting that in Glendale? Wait? Wait? No, at Occidental where the college was on our sound stages, we had like the college quad built kind of where where the peach pit after dark stages were? Wait, and is

that is that real? Is that where you shot it? It was outside? You just didn't your memory is blurred. Memory completely had it in a different place. I remember being on the stage filing and then when I was watching this episode was like, wait, that we're really outside somewhere. No memory? Wait, are you remembering Mystery Girls when we recreated a version of that the stage? No, No, I'm remember doing some other protests from normal College in the

college years. I don't know what it was got you, but I loved everything about this episode. From the very opening with all the kids trying on their caps and gowns. It was just so like perfect high school, let's get it. Yeah, Like so there everybody's trying the cap and gown on and Steve says, how do I look? Then we do address the situation between Brandon and right, that's when I fell asleep, and that's when I passed forward. So sorry, do tell do tell, I'm sorry, I can't take that anymore.

And Kelly telling Steve to put on his heels with his gown. Okay, wait, I feel like they're torturing us by talking about what did or didn't happen between Brandon Andrea do it? And Andrew is going crazy, She's like a boy in heats, like a right, yeah, because I so weird. If they didn't acknowledge it, yeah, it would have been weird, but still I didn't care. Sorry to be so honest, but this is me because I fully cared. So basically, Brandon and Andrea have this conversation because Andrea

is not calling. It's very high school. Andrea is not calling Brandon back, and he's like, why don't you call me back? And she's sort of like you shut me down, and he's like, we you still should have called me back. I mean, I thought it was like very teenager real and they had to talk about it was weird for me because like we watched that episode on this podcast

two weeks ago. It feels like and then we had like that the other episode in between and then and then, and so I had to remember did they do it or not? Did they? I don't know they did. They didn't do it because she says that she's going crazy, she has to do something soon. Well and it's like she put it out there and he did shut it down. He shut it down, which I'm sorry. He's just not that into you because he's a boy, Like why why not?

Why wouldn't he because he think because yeah, and he respects her as a and as his um fellow reporter and he didn't want to make things weird because he knows he doesn't like her that way. So you're telling you're telling me a boy is thinking with his right head this time. Well it's Brandon. Hello. But he does like her because yes, he's like yes, Tori wishy washy, and he it's all jealous when she has a boyfriend speaking of like I know we you guys talked to

him about it, but like they really just do. Jordan Bonner just vanished, disappears gone. That's how all the characters on Beverly Hills, not a tono leave. They just look poof and flag on the play. Andrea isn't a good girlfriend because she was sure quick to go for Brandon like Jordan Bonner was her date. He just got like the flu or something, and suddenly she's at the prom. Never addressed it again, right, and she was in a

cheat on Jordan's right. Yeah, but were they but you don't know where they like full on committed or not. No correct, but they seemed it. They were seeming like it. I don't know, if anything, this episode really solidified for me that, as a fan watching the show back for the very first time, I am a Donna Martin fan. Like if I were a person watching this show in you know, Temecula or Zimbabwe wherever people watch the show because they watched it all over, I would be like,

oh my god, Donna is my favorite character. And I'm not just saying that because I'm looking at your face right now. I don't look at me. I like Donna. I think she's just I think she's grown so much. I think you have grown so much as an actress. I think that you always look super cute, and I really liked your hair in this episode, and um, I don't know. I just feel like there's a lot of stuff going on inside of Donna, and I just I've

got all the feels for her. Huh. It's so ironic that this episode is like literally all eyes on Donna, like the whole school walks out is chanting for her. When I mean I talked about Donna, but we are really the same, Like you know, that makes me so uncomfortable, and especially then like me Tori me Donna, like no attention on us, please don't even look at us, like you're talking about me right now, and I'm like having to look away. And this whole episode was all about

like everyone. I can only imagine how I felt when everyone walked into the courtroom or whatever at the very end, like sitting there, I was probably like, can you can you remember now? What about when they came to you? And you realize, like this entire episode is about me slash my character. I don't remember them coming to me. I can't remember that. And I have such a good memory about stuff, I honestly don't remember that. What do

you remember about filming this episode? This is the craziest thing, you know, how spot On? I am about a million and one things I do not remember filming this up. I mean, I know what happened, and we've seen that clip a million times when she's like explaining why she got drunk, I'm sorry, I got drunk, and when we did our Two Women Live show, we always played that clip, and it's just I can't remember much except memorizing monologue being super nervous. I think I was so nervous for

this episode that I blocked it out. Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. It's almost like you have like some sort of block Yeah. Almost at PTSD two. It's like because it was so much or so and you're

embarrassed in the sense when it's all about you. I could feel you when when that in that scene, especially like when you were talking on the microphone in that scene and when Donna was sitting there and all the people came into all the students came into the boardroom, I could literally I was feeling uncomfortable for you because I knew how uncomfortable you were in that moment, being like all eyes on me, all eyes on me. Yeah, and you know, I'm not a sweater and especially back then,

like never sweat, like I was probably drenched. Like it is super crazy. It's but I literally cried through this whole episode. It was like watching it was like when you have it, like you're like that time of the month and you are so super emotional um or you're watching like a Hallmark movie or something, I don't know,

or you see puppies. Like I cried through the entire episode, But I think I just cried because it meant so much to me to see my friends knowing that you guys were also my real friends and are also my real friends stand up for me the whole episode. Like it just like made me. Every single scene I cried when I watched you guys. It's crazy something. Yeah, there's something with this episode. I think that it's I don't

want to triggering. I'm tearing right now, like the fact, I don't know, And I'm really sorry that I said a couple of weeks ago that Gilmere's was creepy because he's the one that like really stood up for me, Like he's the one that was like in that scene with Brandon where he was like telling him, like I told you enough, I could already lose my job. Like that scene made me cry, Like it was like a John Hughes movie and I was the star. Oh, don't feel bad about the old thing because he is creepy.

It's just he doesn't in this particular episode. He can be a he can be a cool guy and creepy at the same Yeah. Okay, okay, I guess my first question because I still want to dig into how emotional you are. But would a school board decide this? Decide like what what do you mean? Like like what a school board actually get involved in one student drinking? Like wouldn't that just be Mrs Teasley and like the principal. Yeah, it seems like they're a little too. Seems like it

really went far. Mm hm oh yeah, there's a whole board, you're right, Yeah, like that seemed I was like, huh, this really has gone Yeah, I don't know, just like the board, the board who are involved in like disciplinary stuff. I have no idea. I don't either, like it's the board. Wait you guys, I have a silly question, Like West Beverly High it's a public school, right, Okay, so then it's the board from all of the Beverly Hills like the Los Angeles or yes, like he's like they wouldn't

have time to to dole out things. For one specific incident, for one student at one of their mini schools wanted them cut her vacation short just to make it so it was important. Hey, she was on your side. Yeah, it's true. Was that so random? First of all, that lady is named Mimi Lieber, which I saw her name come up in the credits, and I'm like, she's famous

or something. Director waiting, she's famous somehow, And then I think she is famous more because that was very weird that they called that out, and so maybe they did that to draw attention to her. She was rad though. She was really good actress, like she was super good, super good way and she was going to stand up to that dude that was so Arthur. What was his name?

Mr started with It started with an F because I love I love when Brandon comes in and says his name and he goes any extra emphasis on the F as if he wants to say the F word, but he's saying his last name. It's f art. But he was like, yeah, ef art. He was like, ms a fart door he came in. He's like, he's like, it's doctor. He was a doctor apparently, but when he came in, okay, so he's like dr f. He was so grouchy and just grouchy, sous. I love, I love, I love your

dad too. Oh my gosh, so sweet. Might be my new gym Walsh. I'm not sure, but he's adorable. Uh he was so young in this episode and ballsy of Donna when she says to police, like you cheated and we forgave you, Like she really calls her out like you need to forgive me, which was like whoa, that was scary, like but like police can't even in the moment, like her dad holds her hand when she's going up to speak and he says I love you, she can't even say I love you like she it like, I

don't know. It was a little triggering to me, like it was just police is all about police, but really hardcore, like what did Donna do to her that she hates donas so much? Like she literally do you think she ever comes like is she ever a good, loving, nurturing mom in the whole show? I don't. I don't know,

but you would know. I want to say that something comes around And I remember only and I think it's near when Donna gets married only because she had never and I remember thinking like is she ever going to have a turn? And I remember we used to talk about it. Catherine who played my Mom, We used to be like she wished she had to turn at some more point, and I feel like we talked to the writers and she did at some point she comes around,

Dad dies later. I don't know, it would be rough to play her Catherine playing police because Police is so unlikable. And Katherine in real life was such like a real like mother figure to me, like a cool mom. But she was always like I could talk to her about anything, and she was really nurturing, so like she's a really good actress because she doesn't have a mean bone or body, but she like played that role in real life for me often over the ten years we worked together. The

other adults are so supportive of Donna. That's what I think is first of all, Mrs Teasley, Mrs Teasley, Oh my god, she's Goadsode so good mel all the I think police gave to the appeal because of the peer pressure from the other adults. Like they're basically like, she didn't do it for Donna. She sort of did it because all the other adults were like yeah, yeah, and she but she didn't have any problem slamming the door

right in Old Mill's face in the wall. She's talked to her and I feel like she doesn't even like say anything. She doesn't even say hello, What did they try to talk to her? I just loved that scene though, with all the parents at once on those stuff like that's one of the only times I think you see all of the parents in one scene and only the parents,

no kids. I loved it, and Mel totally trying to take responsibility, like this is my fault, Like Mel's a good Mel's a nice dude, Jackie, they're all just they're doing their best and they have flaws. But Felice is she really is awful? But your dad is that has your Is that actor been Michael Durrell? Has he been your dad before in the show? Or is this the

first time we see him? Oh that's a great question. No, it feels like if your mom and they wouldn't come to the wet they feel like this was the first time I've ever seen him because he was so cute. I don't want to say it, but I feel like he should have left police duh, right, shouldn't he should have dated Jackie. I don't think he's Jackie's type. No, because he's a good dude. Jackie likes him. I do feel like someone else played my dad though, But like

maybe very early early on. We've already watched that and fort George had his moments, because I did write a little note George is very gnarly, so George might have been tough in the beginning and then calmed down. I don't know why I wrote that, because George George. Why have I read? George is very nearly? Who is George? And I think, what's your dad's name, John Martin Martin? George is very nearly. I can't believe they made my dad a doctor. There's Doc Martin's and then they literally

like that was already around. That was a big thing, Doc Martin's. Everybody was wearing them, and then they made it Dr Martin? Was that somebody? What was this? What was you a doctor of? I don't even know. They're in the writer's room, like that's funny. Can we talk about Donna's house? Yeah, okay, I'm confused because the first establishing shot of your house is like a white, a big white house, and then I don't remember it being

white at all. I remember it being brick. And then when David and Mel come to the front door, your front entry is brick. Um. I did not catch that. I was house in Tarzana. Though it was brick. It was dark. It was brick. I remember, it was like very tradish red brick. Yeah, huh, decorated like the eighties were vomiting. I know we were in the nineties, but it was decorated like the eighties were vomiting. Did you see the sort of attempt at modern chic living room?

You got there was like a statue of some kind or like a piece of art. Is that when Jon was on the couch and she it was like, you're kind of standing up against the wall and it's getting ugly. Wait, when you're on the couch sitting so uncomfortably for so long I had I had to look to look away. I couldn't watch myself. Yeah, so I just like, why are you sitting like that? I'm just curious. Uh. First of all, they had me in a suit, you know,

like I don't work. It was like so like and it looked even like even though I was like ninety pounds of the time, it even looked tight, like I don't even know how I could sit there. And uh, And it appears that maybe I didn't think I knew at this point, but maybe I had established my good side, because it looked like every time I was on a phone or talking to the court, I turned to the my good side. So you didn't have a good side. That that wasn't a thing, right. I remember who George is?

I think, so, okay, who's George? George is the ass superintendent school board guy, Dr George. It's like, why George, I apologize. I apologize, but that's why George was gnarly. But you were saying you, I want to know when did you get a good side, Like when did you realize? Uh? Well, at that point, I had already had my nose job and it was definitely like not a good nose job, and I had a definite like it was a different,

a little bit different on one side. So I I it must have been established in you did it or someone told you. No. I think I just started noticing, probably watching episodes back, like oh my god, I gotta get it together for paparazzi like taking pictures of us, and I'd be like, and froward you only we'll see this side of me left. I'm only allowed to stand on her left side. That is not uncommon for thirty years, she happily does and I'm grateful. There are other celebrities

that have that too. I don't even know Barbara streisand maybe I think that my because I have to look left to you in every situation that we're in, I have to look this way, and that's not my good side. You're pretty darned symmetrical. I like my right, my gutter. Has Jenny sacrificed her good She is possibly sacrifice a lot for me over the year, So that being, I will go on record that she does not have a

bad side, but she has one. She prefers to the right because I know you're always on my right, but I must I don't know, that's weird. I gotta look at some pictures. Okay, okay, we gotta focus. Sorry, sorry, Let's go back to the newsroom whatever you call it, where we see Toby and we see Sean Levy again. Althought his name was Howard. Well, the actor is Sean Levy. And when you're as big as he is, we just

go by. So, Jenny, you weren't here. But TC Warner talked about how she had to say epitaph, and so, of course all I could hear when I watched this was epitaph. Toby's feisty. So they also call out Andrea and Brandon. Did you notice that? They're like, did you get a room? Which was like, what they do? Call that out? So I thought, okay, we're not letting that

fully go. No, what I like them, They're they're fiery juniors. Yeah. Yeah, first seem Older was sort of against Donna, and then she comes around, but only when they bring their own agenda into it. They're like, we're all gonna go with you if you add in the wardrobe issues. I'm like, all right, it's not really altruistic, but okay, okay making demands, but they I mean, even Brenda, Brenda said it correctly. She said, this is ridiculous because what they did to

Donna did feel ridiculous, prosecuting her over the top. Well, but they did say it. They were and they had to say what would happen though if they didn't stick to their guns. They said, anybody caught drinking would be suspended, wouldn't be to graduate, so and they couldn't just a good rich white girl off because that would look terrible. Well, and everybody's just gonna drink at every problem forever now because there's no punishment. So, okay, so you two are moms.

Let's say you're so pretend you're first. We're gonna pretend you guys are on the school board. Do you think that Donna? Because she they said don't drink, she drank, she was wasted, well, falling wasted. Should she have been allowed to graduate? Oh? She's I've kind of leaned towards no, like as well. I think it's ridiculous. But if you ask me if I was like one of the grown ups on the board, a rule's a rule, Like why should we break a rule for one person, no matter

who it is. I agree, but I wish there was a different punishment because they're all adults there. They know that they've all done the same before when they were kids and weren't supposed to drink somewhere and they did under age. So to not let someone graduate with their class, that's something that forever you won't be able to have that,

like you can never go back. So summer school. I get, like the substance abuse program is harsh, but still it's going to teach them like, hey, you know this could happen to you if you keep drinking, Like this is a good wake up call. Who knows. I just feel like not being able to stand up there and graduate with your class, like it's something you can never get back for the rest. Maybe maybe if they doled out other punishments, like you have to give a speech in

front of the whole student body and naked. Yeah, go to your a or whatever, go to summer school, I think, and let you graduate with your class. Ceremony, yes, grab night? No, do you know what grab night is? Did you guys have that? It's like a party after the graduation. I don't know if they had it at West Beverley, but like, yeah, don't they mention? Do they say grad night? Yeah? I think I would have let her go through the ceremony, but then she wouldn't get to go to like the party.

That's fair, that seems now as moms, okay, so now you're not on the board, but your mom's and your kid, what would you do? I would have been definitely sympathetic towards it, like I would have been like dragginge not police exactly same, but the word thing for me was Another weird thing for me was how Brandon acts like he's your best friend and he knows he is one of my best friends. Um, since when like we've never seen him get to know you at all, and now

he's like it happened off camera. I mean not really. I'm just saying, like the stuff we don't see, Like these people are together seven we only see one hour a week, So I'm just saying, but they're part of the best friend's circle. What did you think of Steve sort of really not wanting to participate and then what about Dylan really not participating until Gil basically is like, bro get out there. Like the Steve one, I didn't really care. I don't know why I didn't care, like

I didn't. Well, first of all, he was like assumed I rated him out, which is he's known me forever like that. That was like, don't you know that that would Donna would never she'd go down everybody before, she'd read anybody out like that sucks um in his little half mocked red turtleneck. It just seemed like typical Steve behavior. So it didn't really bump me at all. The Dylan one kind of crushed my heart a little bit, right,

he was so wrapped up in himself. Yeah, he really wants to go to Berkeley, which I respect because I went there, But yeah, Dylan would have gone. Dylan would have just been like, you know, uh, it's the right thing to do. I can still get into Berkeley. I just didn't track with me. That's not Dylan. That Dylan's character. Luke definitely would have gone like he would have been out there screaming louder than anyone else. Like, So it was like, yeah, I guess it fell out of character.

Maybe that's why I was like, ah, really, you know what, I have not stopped thinking about. And Jenny, I don't know if you know about this Luke. Okay. So TC Warner, who played Toby, told us this story. Her car broke when she was shooting the episodes, the episode she was in, and Luke picked her up every day to take her to work in his bronco. She said, I would I have not stopped thinking about that. Yeah, she said literally, she was so embarrassed. She didn't know what to do.

And she happened to tell him why she was stressed, like the first day they worked together, and he said, no problem, I can pick you up the rest of episode. Every single morning. I don't even want to pick you two up. That was so that really maybe even got they live close to one another. I didn't want I wanted to ask that, but I didn't because the story was just so beautiful. I don't want to be like,

maybe there was she must have lived out. Was this just a couple of Yeah, I'm not driving an hour to get Santa Monica to West Hollywood because that's not happening. That does seem like Luke for sure? For sure. Okay, let's talk about Kelly. So we do get sort of some interesting Kelly news here. The house is sold, they're movinges grow now the Bowers bought the house. Is that Rebecca Hurts Hurts character the one that did the people that Kelly screamed at in the bedroom by the house,

does any did anybody put that together? Must be I don't know if that was the right name. Thought. Remember, I'm shocked you didn't go back and research that. No, I have plans to that's that's to. I don't know. I don't know, but yeah, I guess they're moving. But I think it's going to get very exciting, because isn't season bore when the girls move out together? Yes, it's coming. Maybe that's why. Maybe that's why, because Kelly makes it natural, right,

and David does move in with us. First, I forgot that. I don't want to know, but we're planning something pretty rab. What's a more rad than this sign? So we're rab. So for people listening, you're not gonna want to miss season four? Okay, really fast? So did anyone think it was weird? In the peach pit when Donna calls to give the update that Brenda was I'll take the call. I just thought, oh, that's interesting. I know, don't say I hate Brenda. I don't hate, but I just thought, oh,

why wouldn't be weird? That's her best friend? Wait, wait, wait, why do you think it's weird? I don't know, just something about it. I was like, whoa, she's really aggressive to take that call, and like, I don't know. For me, I was just like the stage direction told her too, so she had to jump out of her line. Yeah.

I also thought, I don't know why, and I know they're together, but Dylan and Kelly, being very affectionate, still lands weird on me in front of Brenda, Like, I know they're together, but he they had he had his arm and they're very affectionate. In the booth and Brenda seems so chill with it. Like for me, it was like, I don't know why this is Like I'm writing this down, but hey, it's still weird that it's always weird kind

of yeah, it's still gonna be weird. I think it probably felt weird too on set, like I don't know, yeah something about it. I still was like, this is still a little comps. I don't know. I feel like guys don't think about that stuff. But I feel like it's surprising that Kelly wouldn't be like, I don't know, right, have a conversation, be like it makes me feel uncomfortable. She's my friend, yeah yeah, yeah to me, Yeah, it's not like in a bad way. It's just like and

Brenda's so chill with it. I would be like dying inside. I don't know for me, she's so smiley about it. Also, it's always Dylan usually, so Luke had that choice to make, right. Yeah, I mean he's doing it because that's his girlfriend and he loves her, and he's not worried about it, I know, but he should feel bad too in front of Brenda

a little bit. They should a little bit. Dylan doesn't doesn't have any feelings like in the retrospect, also, college acceptances would be out, everybody would know where they're going graduating. So the fact that it doesn't seem like everyone has revealed to everyone where they're going. And then I get it Dylan the conversation, Yeah, like we don't totally, Like I'm assuming we know Andrea is going to Yale, and we know Brandon's going to California University. But do we

know that Brenda? Do we know? Because all these people would know. So that's a little bit like I get that Dylan sort of must be trying to like get some sort of special acceptance to Berkeley because of everything he had to retain and yeah, like he had the S, A T. S and maybe the dad and you guys if we've all okay, so I'm just going back in time. So everyone has already gotten their college acceptance by it, Now why do they take finals? Then you still have

to graduate. You still have to take finals even if you got into college like just to do Yeah, it doesn't as much, but you don't want to look like a dummy, like if you've gotten to you know, want to be like you gotta graduate because like what if you got if you got an F you don't graduate, you don't go to college. You still gotta graduate. Oh, I see, you can take the foot off the gas a little. I would say, but and and and this

is a stupid question, but is that how? It isn't in I r L Like, yeah, no, yeah, I'm I'm not basing this on nine O two on O world. This is I r L. Like I got into college my senior year in like March or whatever. I knewhere I was going and I still have to do good. I didn't want to be an idiot, and I had to graduate. If you flunk to class, you would be

so aft. M hm. So wait, I don't remember exactly, but I know there is a scene where they all reveal what's going to happen college wise, it's coming right, And is it like they all are surprised or they all decide as a group, like this is what we should do because we don't want to split up, Like what happens? Well, Brenda, we we didn't know. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. We'll get back to that.

But basically, my point is the timeline's fuzzy because they would have already been talking about this okay, So Mel goes over the wall shoes and everyone's eating oreos, which I totally love, and Carol is wearing a heinous floor full or old top that sweater Donna wears in the beginning, the flag sweater. Darren Martin had it, brought it to Canada when he did, be h and I too, and I wore it in one of the flashback episodes. Who had it? Darren Martin? Who is that uh number one fan? Ever? No? Yes,

but like he's are like our friend too. He's super cool and has become friends with the cast over the years, lives in Canada, knows everything. He's listening right now every single Did he have the original? Or like how I have a sweater that Brenda? No, he had the original. But the only thing is when we like it got turned over to wardrobe and I don't know if he ever got it back. He did, but I had to hand it to them so they use it. I know I never got it back. I know I reach and

I reach out to who happened to it. I don't imagine to bother her with that. No, what do you call Seth? What if he listens to us? You're like, what if so, Come on, Okay, let's focus. So Mrs Teasley. They all think they're busted, but really she is teamed on us. She wants letters, you know. Then I love that Andrea is typing it on a typewriter because it's so That was kind of good it. And then even I wrote, Gil is so weird as a teacher? Well they what do you mean? Now? You like Gil? I

love him now. I love the shout out to Fred Segel, although I think they said Fred's siegells and I'm like, Fred Siegell's there. I love a good Fred Seagull. It is it is. We used to do there. Everybody went there. I loved it. Uh. Mr Walsh definitely tells Brandon to go for it, but don't get arrested. That was a

big thing. Um. It was weird for me how Brandon was like the ringleader of the whole thing though, and like he was so in charge of the entire student body, and when he put his hand up, they just put his hand up in everybody's silence, like he was like like a stopo or something literally leader, like he was gonna be step of it didn't go well. The cool aid like it literally and also would go down that

way though. If you all were at the peach pit and you'all kind of like Brandon's firing everybody up, blah blah, you would all, like we used to divvy up the directory. You'd take the director and go like, okay, i'll do the first ten names, you do the next tenants, and everybody would get on the land lines and call and say like, oh, here's our plan. Yeah. I like that that scene with this like everybody making their calls, that was cute. Kelly really says to Dylan, no, I'm not

coming over. I have calls to make, Like she's like, my girl needs me. Yeah. It's just so funny about our show. How like when there's something going on, even in the entire student body School of West Beverly, our whatever, seven eight main characters are always front and center, and like, well that's I'm like, first, it strikes me as weird and like I have a problem with it, Like it's just too convenient that they're all right there in row

and perfectly positioned and then everybody's behind them. But I guess it's a show about them, so it's that's what it should be here. Just the question Are they you the popular kids? Are they? I'm assuming yes because it was most beautiful and they got all the you know whatever that's kin. Are they the popular kids? I mean, it just seems so contrived to me, because even in real life there would be popular kids and not popular kids are sporty kids, or it would be all mixed up,

mixed together. But it's definitely there's shows though that like put the main cast in the background and all the extras in front. Right, You can't. It's a TV show and I have to just go with it. But for me, it's like, why where is everybody else? I am more intrigued by are they the popular kids? And I think they are. I'm going to definitively say does they are the cool kids at the prom that everyone's like, oh, there they are here? Like Sanders are like the two

most popular kids in school? I think so too. I don't know about you guys though. When I saw in this episode, it was kind of the first time where I saw Nat and Dylan and Mrs Teasily all in one episode, and it was it was like powerful, How yeah, they're all not with us anymore? But it's so it's so weird because to me, when I watched the show, they're still alive. Like, yeah, that's the power of a

show like this or or anything. I guess when an actor dies, but you can still see them as they were, it's like they're not gone, and I'm just my brain wants to see it that way and believe it that way. For me, it was a moment definitely with Mrs Teasley. I thought, oh, when she first came on and she's so prominent in this episode, and then I was able to sort of surrender it and release that and just dive into the show. It definitely left me like I was like, Okay, I'm gonna Not that I forgot or

didn't care, but I was like, it was really prominent. Okay, now I'm I think it was hard for me that the scene at the peach pit with it, you know what, Dylan was there, we were all there, and now I was there, and yeah, I definitely had the same moment in this episode. It's the first episode since all three of pass that we're seeing it and also knowing that Jessica Klein pass and knowing that she was the one that wrote Donna Martin Graduates and that line like that

they all chanted, So yeah, IM like that stuff. But I was just so happy for Donna and that you get to graduate with us. I was like, well, and what a scene. I mean, not the outside the Donna Martin graduates is amazing, but it's still like even as like a span of everything. I remember even being like because I was in college at this point, going is this embarrassing? Like kind of watching it, like am I embarrassed?

With their all? And it's the slow clap version of Donna Martin graduates, because it's like, Donna Martin graduate, And what about the parts like the Margins, we're all marching and like sometimes there's a scene inside the like there's Brandon's talking to somebody else, but everybody's still chanting around him.

So when we're filming that, you can tell, because like there's a difference when you say something and you're like Donna Martin graduates, your face in your mouth, everything works together. But when somebody has to have dialogue in the scene in the background actors, the people chanting, I'll have to mind so mim it. It looks so different than when

they're really saying it. Even like the main characters, I could tell when like Kelly was able to say it out loud, and then I could tell they made me mind. It just looks so different. And then I was trying to see, like when did the whole Donna Martin, you know what's right? And when did that happen? I thought it. I looked in on every mouth I was trying to see,

and I think I saw one prominent background. I tried to look for it doing it, saying it, and I know it was like one of our brother cheeky ones that was there all the time, not Lance, but another one of the people. And I was like, I know, I just saw him say it. Did you guys? Okay? I know this is so because I love this episode, but there is something like if you because I was now not in high school where I'm like, is this what's happening that they're doing? Like did you ever have

a moment like is this gonna land? Or we jump in the shark right now? Did you ever have a moment like like like at that point, we were still so young and in it, like we didn't know what is this going to land? Meant we were just because it didn't jump the shark, it didn't and it landed and it became iconic, but it was shark jumping, like literally, you're all out there, Donna Martin, and like I said,

Donna Martin, grudge. Then like another one says it, another one says it, and then it's the like I said, it's the slow clap. It's not that crazy to compare it to the fall jumping shark. Wait, Jed, do you remember like obviously it was a long day and it was hot, and they had to do everyone had to do it fifty million times, and so they got cheeky and said Donna Martin Masterbates, But do you remember for that when you guys first had to do it and rehearse it, were you guys like this sounds so yeah,

cringe e. We're all like just stand there. It just felt so weird, but you know, out of context, it felt it felt really weird. But I thought it all cut together beautifully. I think it works almost because it's so cheesy is not the right word ridiculous, it's a little cheesy. It works because it's so bonkers, like is

this gonna work? And it freaking works, And they're all freaked out in the school board like they're coming in and you know, it's because it's like it's just so much and then you're just like all right, yeah, but it's like totally like a John Hughes movie, like Breakfast Club. It's like it's I don't know, it just makes you think, like this would sixteen candles like this would happen. Yes, Like the writers must have been like, I don't know.

The camaraderie was just so cool, but you're what you're saying, it is a little like cheesy that everyone had to like stand there doing it. If I had to stand there and shout Dona Martin graduates, I would have been like, oh my god, there's somewhere between getting the police getting the police called on him. But then all of a sudden it worked. It was like, I don't know, I just want to hold this sign up more graduate, just graduate, just over and overdone. Graduate. I'm just staring that. Your

arms don't move. Your arms are so rock solid impressive, barely. You better not use that that clip heart. You're like, you're like Linda, what was your name? And the terminator? So before we go, is it one of the best episodes of the whole series? Yes? Yes? How did that become so iconic? Though? Because because what I'm saying like that Chanel jumped the shark and then it worked. So because of that, that's my opinion that it was so

what and it was so silly. Isn't the right I don't have the right word, Like the whole school is chanting. Donna Martin graduates, Donna Martin grabad as I view, or you're like, am I embarrassed or am I stoked? Where I was a reviewer, I was into it. I was like, I an't know where you're going with that. We're so closely connected to it. It's hard to see it, but I see it's almost like borderline spoofy. It's like a

cult classic. It's like which a lot of cult movies are, like, oh, they're a little cheesy, little b movies, but they became like last year of the year. So that's why this episode. No, I didn't feel like that. I felt like it was. I did get uncomfortable because I'm just uncomfortable anytime there's a large crowd gathering and making a march or statement. But yeah, I felt like it was this emoji. Hold on, I'm going to text you guys in the group text. It's this emoji to me, hold on, it's a little

of this, but then I love it. Why is it not coming through you like where you're like this, you can't, You're like, I think I don't like it. I don't like it, Jenny, I don't watch it, but I don't. I would actually really love to hear from fans, I guess because it's like all eyes on me kind of that when they are so into it. I never say like why though, do you like that phrase? Donna Martin Graduate?

But I would like to hear from fans like what about that made that one of their favorite things to say? How about the fact that I wouldn't have worn this shirt? But in to what I will rock this so hard? And I will if I was wearing this, everyone will be like, you know what, I think I'm gonna I'm gonna put this in the back of my car and just drive around like that. As the Donn and Martin

graduates has aged like a fine wine. So this has been you guys sent this a couple of weeks ago, So it's been in the house waiting for us to do this episode. And I had it his like literally in the front of my house and a couple of times people have come to drop things off and they're like they look around, they see it, go, oh my god, I'm sorry. That takes me back. That's my favorite. It was like crazy and it was something on their face.

They became like sixteen again, the fact that your Tory spelling and you have the embarrassing because it would be funny enough if I had that song that like somebody came by and they're like, don't Martin graduates, but like, you know, whatever're doing, gonna put this on a stake in front of my house and see if people honk when they drive by, because you know how you always put those signs like like a fortress that's not fairside out of it. Wait wait, I have I have an

idea for us. It's kind of a dare, and we're gonna do it. I smell merch. I don't know what it is, and I'll do it and Martin graduates merch. Oh my gosh, this is fun talking about this episode. But next week we're gonna we're gonna graduate, I think, and but it's a two part but we're going to do it all in one. Right, Still debating, still debating because we don't know yet because we want. We are coming back for season four and we're all heading to Vegas,

so we I'm trying to time it out with the counter. Wait, we'll be like Vegas, Baby, We're going to Vegas together. It's like our for the I Hear Music, I Heart Radio Music Festival. Who's your alter ego? Who's your Terry? Terry's coming to Vegas. Harry's going to Vegas. Guy, you see me in Vegas. I'm gonna be once I'm in Vegas. Donna Martin graduate, Oh my gosh, maybe we should take our today. Donna Martin graduates. Donna Martin graduates, Martin graduates,

Oh my gosh. Okay, so we don't know what it's going to be. One episode or two episodes, but next we're graduating. Commencement Part one is next week. I wish it was a ring tone. That would be amazing, but I don't really do it. I want, Oh my god, we should get every cast member to say it, and then that should together. The ring tone when you guys call me, Dona Martin choice, good luck with that have happened?

Should be Donna Martin graduates, And when Jenny calls me, it should go I choose me that we can do for you. We can record those for you, Amy, I would just live my best life with that. Something tells me it's real. Look at her. She means it. She means it. That's why we love you. We imagine if I'm like somewhere with friends and all of a sudden, my phone starts going Donna Martin graduates and I'm like, sorry, guys,

Tory Spelling is calling me. Like nobody in my world would be like they'd be like, literally what, Well, it wouldn't happen because we all know she doesn't make phone calls, so we can only text people. I can't. We don't talk on the phone anymore. We only text. Sorry to make this about me. At the end, I got very excited, So I'll be texting you guys to record those. Okay, got it? You got it? Oas next week, UM, we'll

either be in Vegas, we won't be in Vegas. We don't know, but everybody watch Season three, episode twenty nine. Are almost done with Season three, You Guys Commencement Part one. I Love You Guys by H
