first team. What team are you on? I'm Team Kelly? Okay, okay, thank you, I guess so nice of you. Um, why tell us. Why, Well, I I always thought that, Um, you know, even even when I was you know, of that age, watching you guys, I was always team Kelly, and watching it back now, I still am Um. And I think it's because I think it's because like you were the rich girl with you know, rich girl problems, and like they were real, like they were real things.

And I think Brenda she wanted to be the rich girl and she wanted to have the problems, and then when she got the problems, she just complained and said, you know, I'm just some girl from Minnesota. And I just felt that it was always interesting. I kind of lost interest, you know, in back then and watching it again, you know, you know, at different times of in my

adult life. I've never changed, right, So that's interesting that you said when you watched it back originally you felt this way, but then even as an adult watching it back, you still feel that same way, because I kind of feel a little bit torn now and a little differently about it seeing it from an adult lens, and before you knew what was going to happen, Like would you watch the show seeing Um, Brendan Dylan together and be like I just love Kelly, like I wish did you

want did you think, like, oh I want him to be with Kelly or did you even think of it? Or like you're you were just a Kelly fan from the get go, right, Yeah, do you want her to be with Steve? No? No, I don't think I don't. I don't know about Steve. I always liked Steve, and I liked how his character progressed, you know, sort of in the in the later years. But um, in high school, no,

I I there was nothing I like what Steve was. Um. But but at the time, I was in university at the time, and and I was I was just team Kelly. I just I just always wanted to see her either either you know, in the days with UM with Dylan and then later on. I always liked the brand the Brandon storyline. I always like that. Oh right, yeah, so were you were you? Yeah? Which was your favorite? Dylan or Brandon? So then that's a toughie because at the you know, at the very end, I really liked how

it all kind of came together. So well, people have asked me who I ended up with on the show. No, I don't know who do you think she ended up with? Inevitably Okay, Well, I mean it could have gone either way. Years later, you never know, Yeah maybe maybe maybe Stephanie's not gonna tell you. She's not gonna give you a know what really happened, but I think that's what she wanted to have happened. Sounds like I mean, I would have loved your your sixth part, your you know, your

your last rendition. I would have loved to have seen a season two come of that. So to Stephanie, I know, I know I had so much more to tell. I know chapter is not over yet. When she moved to Beverly Hills and she was watching Kelly's shop and she wanted what she couldn't afford. I remember that a lot too. I would break bad memories, but um, yeah, the whole boy thing. Yeah, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize, uh for bringing up bad memories your show every day like obsessed. I don't know what's wrong with oh? Like I literally watched

it on Plutle all the time. You're my son already knows you know the antral, so he means you all. So after ten years, were you still like, oh, I don't want to see Kelly end up with Dylan, or like what I never you didn't think it was it was right for Kelly and Dylan, do you. I don't disagree with you, by the way, it's just it's weird. And I mean, if they were together, it's fine. But she's still stayed friends with them, And you know, were you upset? Like once Brenda left the show, did you

like not watch the show as often? Or you still did you followed? I still I watched you guys forever? And then were you like team Valerie once she came on? No, I was like, what's she doing? Yeah? Okay, who is she. But I love how Kelly saw right through her, but nobody believe her. You're so nice, You're a first team Brenda, and we were nervous. Tell us your stories about why what team are you are you Kelly, Are you Roody more for Brenda, I'm totally Kelly team, totally from from the first moment. Yes, I think Kelly is

a complex character. After you have to be people should have a sensitivity and death too to understand Kelly, because she's great character and she she was a very great girl. She m I want to say this. Uh. Some weeks ago, a girl sent a letter to Amy saying that Brenda is a so loved by fans because she's more similar,

more more a common girl. But I don't think I totally disagree because the Branda has always been self confident and sure about her value, herself, her choices, probably because she grew up in a very healthy family and Kelly instead, I went through a lot of difficulties because she grew up in a broken family with no dad, with an addicted mother, being a mother of her mother. So and still she's a good person. And I think to Dylan and Kelly, um so in in the worst family what

they wanted and never had. And also for this reason, maybe they connected each other and they were really were soul made. I have to say Kelly and Dilan still are one of the most beautiful and the intense couple of the history of television. I think live, Oh yes, beautiful and so poignant and everything you said, and it's not just because your accent is so beautiful, but everything you said is so true. That's she's a true fan. We can tell that you really invested in the show.

I'm curious your age. Did you watch the show as it was originally airing back in the nineties. No, no, because I think year in Italy it was heard in the first year of two thousand. Maybe okay, okay, and you look a lot younger than I probably not right. Yeah, Now I have a DVD. So at first I watched in in it in Italian. Now I have DVDs with your voices. So the actress the voices Kelly and Italian.

Does her voice sound similar in tone to Jenny's voice? Um, I have to say yes, yes, the voice actress as a great voice, but Jenny's voice is as sweeter and the lower Maybe yes, I prefer that propely Jenny's voice. Yes, I think I think Kelly Kelly's development true. The entire show has been uh maybe the best development. And it breaks my heart that Journey couldn't see how wonderful Kelly was,

and how wonderful Dylan and Kelly were together. Because we uh the Kelly and Dylan fans, we see that totally. And I have to say, it's a maybe it's easy to understand Branda. It's easy understand a girl who as being cheated by h a boy, but you have to see the entire perspective. So Kelly, I said before, never had the very healthy family, so maybe she didn't know how healthy relationship was. But she grew up a lot

during the season. And I think in season three and four, particularly with the with the London, I think you will see Jenny and then yes, I believe you and I appreciate you saying that, and I and I'm going to, um, I'm going to think about that because it's so easy for me to feel guilty, um as Kelly, that we've hurt someone, you know, with that storyline, that we hurt the character of Brenda. So I think a lot of

my perspective is sort of clouded by my guilt. Um even though it wasn't really me, it didn't really happen, but I played the character. So I'm going to think about that, and I'm gonna I'm gonna think of you, Simona when I watch it next and kind of be open to um seeing what you saw. I have a question, Simona, So a lot of things happened to poor Kelly during the ten seasons. Yes, which of the you know, the crazy things that happened are? Which was your favorite storyline

about Kelly? Hello, just Kelly like the things? Like you know, we all know she was in a fire. She was called like which of those things? It's very out, very hardble to choose the only one thing, because yes, she went through a lot of difficulties. Uh. Maybe I love this storyline of Kelly with the in the in the fire because I think she was a very brave and in that particular storyline, you can see that Kelly as a always told that her value was in her beauty.

She was scared about this because she told that this was her only quality, and I think in this storyline she understood that it wasn't in that way. Kelly had a lot of qualities and maybe she uh can I say she she understood this uh difficulty, But in this storyline she could see things clearly and she was a very supported girl for the other girl, and she felt guilty also in that occasion, but this wasn't her guilty. I don't want to think that way, but it's true, like you see things from a different perspective as you get eight, gotten older and been through life to listen, I was ten years old when I wasn't even to watch it. Okay, I predicted that, Um, I'm Tim Kelly because I just feel like Dylan and Kelly really understood each other better. I think that they grew up very similarly, and I think that their relationship and their bond was so special, especially throughout the season's watching them grow up together. I just feel like they really

were soulmates and they were just meant to be together. Wow. So at any point when Brandon and Kelly were together, which was like in hindsight, that was a bigger portion I think on nine o two and I have ten seasons. Was Dylan, I mean, was Kelly? Was Dylan and Brandon? I would have liked that. I would have been on that team. I would have liked to see that. But uh, yeah, um, did you ever like like seeing Kelly Obviously you're a big Kelly fan Kelly and Brandon or no, I did.

I did like Kelly and Brandon too, especially in like season four. I really didn't say them at I'm excited now. I don't know that's coming sooner than I thought. I know it happens like I I was there, I played it, but I don't the end. Okay, I did really enjoy them, But and I really I liked Kelly and Steve. I really just liked Kelly with a lot of people. But I just feel like, at the end of the day, I just think that Dylan was the person she was

always going to find her way back to. But that doesn't because I did love Brandon and I did love her with him, but I just feel like she just always kept coming back to Dylan, So that's what I wanted her to be with. What was your favorite boy friend of Kelly's other than the regular So other than Dylan and Brandon, Oh my goodness. And which did you hate? Well? I didn't like Colin Um because that was just a bad time for her. Bad choice. Yeah, yeah, I don't.

I don't know who my favorite out of the main was. I mean Matt. I guess Matt was really sweet, but it was just you know, I was just waiting for that was very sweet. I didn't like him. This is good. And I love Yeah, I love Jenny. I've followed her career all these years, your TV shows and movies, and my mother even texts me yesterday She's like Chinese movies on this weekend whatever station she's watching though, thank you, so all right, yes, of course. Um So I started watching, as you know, because of Shannon, because I've always loved Harf since like the eighties, and and then I was like, oh what this show looks great, and then I got hooked.

Um So, for me, I've always said that nine o two has been the only show that really treated us kids as adults. Like it wasn't the crazy stupid storylines of like you know, like say by the Belt Freeze and like they started talking on camera. It was a real true storylines and like things you could really get invest in. Um So, Brenda and Dylan were my first big super couple. So I was a teenager when it came on, so I was in high school so it

was kind of same time frame everything. Um So, that was the the big couple, you know, like besides wants and things, that was the big couple. And we watched them fall in love and you know the heartbreak and and all that kind of stuff, so you really felt the emotions, especially as a teenager in that age, you

just really felt it. And you had Brenda, who was you know, the new girl in California and you know in the Sea of Blonds she had the burnette stuck out, you know, um and got the guy in the friendship and the whole thing. Um. And then the betrayal with Kelly and Dylan, you know, your best friend and your boyfriend, and and then the way she got treated afterwards from

the rest of the game. You know, it was kind of like, oh, Kelly and Dylan greats together, but for Brenda's home, like in the room, and Donna was there for her. She always was. Um. But you saw that and like, that's kind of what I resonated with, and it's always stuck with me. Um. And then you know, throughout the series, you always saw that she still loved him, and through everything, she never really moved on. Stewart was whatever. The Stewart. Oh yeah, you'll get him, you'll get to him.

But like she you know, so she always she didn't have that next big love super couple that like Kelly had Brandon afterwards, because we didn't see her with Dylan, I mean with with Steve. So she had Brandon afterwards and you saw that develop. We didn't get that with her.

So the whole series that stuck with me of in any time there was any mention of her through the whole time, it was oh, she's in London with Dylan or you know, different things, like even years later, So still that huge, that's it was still there for me all those years later. Finally started agatting over it. Thousand eight reboot happens with um Kelly having Dylan's kid, like the reboot with you know, the head Laurie Laughlin and

Rob Esti's in there. You guys probably heard me from Boston in l a screen when it was Dylan's kids, but it looked like Steve, I'm sorry, just saying I still stand by I don't disagree with you on that one. Thank you. Um. But yeah, So that's why I've always been team into this whole time, and just you know, that always stayed with me, and I think really a true testament to this whole storyline is the writing, the acting, everything.

It's still thirty years later and people are so passionate about it and like really to the point of like, oh no, I'm still team Brenda. I'm still team Kelly. Like I was thirteen when that show stotted. I love your conviction. I just I love your conviction, and I think that's very honorable. Yeah, so I was fifteen like when that happened. I'm forty five now and I'm still talking about us too. It's a big thing for all of us. It was a big like a pivotal part

of all of our lives. And like I said, I think for so many of us because that was the first show that really, you know, we watched. I watched daytime soaps, I watched nighttime soaps, but it was all adults. This was the first show that really treated kids like we sorry, my dogs trying to eat the paper. We have feelings, showed kids, yeah, with feelings, storylines and and just things you can connect to at the same age of gold high school and and all that kind of stuff.

That that was a big pot of you know, lives. I mean, from thirteen to twenty three, you guys were my friends. Like I mean, I had a lot of other friends, but I would leave and come home. I'd be out with my friend, especially in the summertime. Alright, guys, I'm coming home. I'm going home. I'll be back in an hour. I'd go in, watch the show and then back out. And I still have all the tapes, the

VHS tapes from all ten years. I still have, you know, quite a few things, and you know, I met you guys quite a few times over the last few years, and you know, it's still it's still there. Like were you did you come meet us on our tour? I did you guys in Medford and and then um in sixteen at that crazy crazy ass um the one in Chicago. Oh my god, out you were at that one, the one that started the whole wanting to doh because we had this crazy story at a convention. Yeah, he was there.

I was there. I flew in for the day to meet you guys. Oh my gosh, you're the best. Yeah. And then I was at the when you did the show in Boston. I did the show with Christal Okay, yes, I did the show with her and we did the Champagne toast and yes, yes, yes yeah. When we took the picture together and it came up on the screen, you guys were like, oh my god, you're Brenda. Yeah, yeah, it is a Ballian Donna tell me I'm Brenda. That's it's You're like, we could go on the road with

her as Brenda. This is perfect. Literally, whatever do you ever get involved in some of the comments on time? Okay you do, You're not chime in? No, definitely not. No, I'm not afraid you throw down? What do you it does? It does? It gets ugly and if you I leave a lot of a lot of messages a lot of times too with just a duck going across. So if you see it goes, that's me too because of the shirt. Did they get so mad when you do that? Yeah? And then you get the team bruns and they're like, yes,

do it again. I love it. I love that. But yeah, like I said, thirty years later, it's still it's still there. And my husband was laughing at me. When I came out to tell him what I was doing. He just shakes his head. It was like the first time I met him, well the first the first time he came to my house. I had gone on a cruise. I was going on a cruise and one of the themes was Nineties Night on the Cruise. So I was like, it's the nineties. I have to do not oh to

it all. And I made a life size codbood cut out of Dylan and I addressed as Brenda. I had the men shirt with the tie and the whole the whole thing. And the first time my husband, my now husband, came to my house, I had to cut out cut out in my bed. Oh my god. Was he like, wait was happening? He stayed and he married me, so him, Wait, I have to know when he first went out with him, where you like, was that important to you? Where you're like,

are you a fan of nine or two? It was funny like when we first sent out, we were, you know, talking or whatever, like, well, we're just having drinks and something came up. I had mentioned the cutout because I knew it was at my house, and you know, as I'm driving down you know, in Boston with Luke Perry like in the window, people driving like, what the hell is that? And so I told him and he's like, yeah,

I was always I was always for Brenda. I'm like, okay, well, it's kind of menta what if he had said to you at the time, Oh yeah, I never saw that show. But if he said I'm team Kelly, Yeah, I've been okay with it. Okay, Um, you seem pretty level headed about it. Yeah. He even said to me in the house, He's like, we can have a nine O two and O off right now it's like, no, you can't beat oh gosh, but yeah, so all these years, it's still there.

Oh you know what Jen and I say when we're like we can tell a super fan in the eyes because we were like, oh I was a fan of that show. We're like we look into their eyes like, no, listen. Super confident in her, like she she doesn't need to prove it to anyone. I can tell, like she's like, this is what we mean. Yeah, yeah, it's it's there. And anybody who knows me, like knows, you know when I told people I was doing this, So like I'm

not surprised whatsoever. We're hanging out like it's it's normal, of course. But I love it. I love the podcast. I listen first thing every Monday morning, like just and I'm you know when you guys announced like for the live when you did the first time, um like last year, I was like buying the tickets right away, and you know, anything that you guys do, I'm always right there on

top of it. And you know, Sugarman, I love her because she's just a podcast too, and I listened to her and we're always the two things that we don't agree on is team Kelly and then Christopher on Gilmo girls. Now we agree on that. I was going to ask you that because sugarman gets a lot of grief. So yeah, right. She used to hear that too. Yep, No, I love her. When she emailed me, I I sent it back to her that I loved her on there and you know,

my my cousin growing up. We're the best friends forever. She was always Kelly and I was always randomly all right, I still love you, but you know, but actually she was more Donna. She loved Donna and David and I used to have potties at your food have food, and you know, for any big events when uh the college graduation and you know, the wedding Dylan Brenda her and I'm sorry, uh Brandon and Kelly's wedding. Um, you know I had everybody over the house like a food and

cake and oh yeah I had I had events. I want to come. You can come. Absolutely. Oh my gosh, you're the best. Most we appreciate you. You have no idea how much. No, and I love you, guys. I mean, like I said, it's I've followed both of your is this whole time from everything that you've ever been in in movies and as I have with you know, all the cast too. But you guys are awesome. And the couple times that I got to meet you and be in your presence, it was like made me love you
