It's nine with Jenny Garth and Tori Spelling. You guys, this is so exciting. We have uh something new. It's called a nine O two one Oh MG, mini episode. There's okay, so we'll explain more. It's a nine two one o MG minisoda. That's so cute. Okay, so we're doing it. This is it? This is mini. Yeah, I'll explain to you guys what's happening, and then you guys take it away. So a few weeks ago, we talked about the college years and I thought this seems like

it would totally work today. So you guys said, do you think it would? So we had to find people, which we found a few because we're gonna test this theory who have never ever seen an episode of nine O two one. Now they've never seen one. So this is Molly and she Hello, she knows who you guys are, so she when I talked to her, she's familiar with like who you are and the characters, but she's never seen an episode. So she watched the same episode as we did this week and take it away, like, wait,

how old are you, Molly? I'm twenty five. Okay, you're never seen an episode of first episode is season four, episode four, episode four, and your your parents never watched the show? You never heard about My mom loved the show, so I have heard about it my whole life, I'm sure. So it's like in the Fibers, you are exactly. My dad's name is Kelly. Otherwise she probably would have named me Kelly. That was definitely interesting. That's so fun. Well,

what do you think, Molly watched the episode? What heck did you say? Oh? My gosh, Well, first of all, I loved that you had me watched the Green Life episode. I was in a sorority in college, so it was very nostalgic for me, very fun um. I loved it. It was funny to watch because it's definitely like very what we think of as like very nineties, very nostalgic um, which was fun to watch. But there were some things

I would say, we're applicable to my college experience. But then somewhere it's like, oh gosh, that would never fly now, like what like what like when the boys were holding up the rankings for the girls, God, that doesn't happen. Oh my gosh, they would be kicked off campus immediately. There's no way. So at least I'm glad that's not happening anymore. But when they showed it, I was like, oh my gosh, that's crazy. And I loved how the boys I wrote down when they were like, come on,

it's the nineties, gentlemen, like, show some sensitivity. And that's hilarious because I think of us saying like it's get with it. So true, we all have this same reaction, Molly oh good. Although I said the couch, the couch was legit. The couch was legit. The party was sort of legit. But it was too nice. Oh gets nastier, like a fraternity house would not be that que with like everything so perfectly lined up in the little bar area, like there's no way. So that was funny to watch.

What's it like? I just feel like it's a lot crazier, like just stuff everywhere, a lot messier, like you would not want to go in the bathrooms, more of that kind of vibe. So it was funny to see the beautiful house and the boys playing football out front. And I don't know if it's quite that are the party is like sloppier in college maybe a little bit. I don't know if the people are necessarily like, at least

in my experience, sloppier. But I think just the overall vibe, it's a little bit I went to stay in a Barbara, so I feel like we were a little bit more beachy, mellow, um kind of laid back Greek Greek life experience, so it wasn't quite as um not stilted, but you know what I mean, we didn't go to college in real life, so we're just always like, oh my god, what were these parties? Like? Did they get crazy? Like I'm glad

ours was somewhat accurate, that's for sure, for sure. And I feel like all the business and all the people everywhere was very accurate, even the campus scenes where everyone's kind of cruising around and all that I'm sure extras in the background. It felt very accurate in that sense, and like the little spots in between classes, Oh that's so good. Okay, but would okay, what how did you feel about the fashion? I loved Donna's outfits multiple times story.

I loved your seventies outfit. I loved your rush outfit. That little dress with the cut in the middle so cute. I feel like over all the rest was like very nineties, which now is definitely having whatever revival. So I feel like a lot of things I would maybe wear pieces of it, maybe not the whole fit together. Um, and the makeup always makes me laugh, like the eyebrows are so much that's very uh, that's very twenty five. They

say fit instead of outfit. True, well, I feel like, yeah, that our eyebrows were starting to thin, get thinner and thinner already and more like defined. Yes, just a little bit and not major, but what I think of as nineties definitely what about the characters, because you don't know like how they all interact it and who moves out,

so it confusing coming in now a little bit. But I feel like I kind of got the gist as I was watching, and I would see the relationships and see of course how they called him the fab four of you girls, Um, your little Friends was so cute when they're like, oh the Fab four from Beverly Hills,

so cute. Um, So I think I got to know their personalities and this was a good episode, especially with um we call it recruitment, but you call it rush in um the show, but going through sorority Rush, I think it was a good way for me to sort of get to know each character a little bit, and the boyfriends kind of coming in or I guess I don't know if they're technically their boyfriends from this episode,

but the love interest coming in. So it was a good one where I got to know, but it was a little bit confusing where I wanted to know more of their history and just sort of the past and why they have all these dynamics. Well, lucky for you, you can go from episode one the love triangle between Jenny's character Kelly and Brenda and Dylan. Yeah, can you tell, like who who is with Dylan? Is it Brenda with Dylan or Kelly that's with Dylan or is that still

Dylan was with Dylan? Was with Kelly? Right the radio show? Oh that was Donna. Oh, Donna and David. Donna and David Dylan and Kelly, Dylan and Kelly. Oh, because Dylan was the one that was like, oh, um, Kelly's kind of into the vapid sorority stuff. Okay, yes, yes, confiding in Brenda. Yes, Okay, that's when I when they had that moment in was it in the dorm room or

they were somewhere where Brenda was kind of confiding. That's when I sensed the little bit of the love triangle where it's like they were sort of on the same page against the whole Greek life thing versus Kelly was so like gung Greek life. So I think that's when I sensed it. And then when Kelly said to him, um, like, why can't you just be like everyone else? I literally wrote down drag him. Oh my god, Like it's literally

just saying to be like everyone else. So I thought that was amazing, dragging poor guy like, I know, I don't feel bad for him, Okay, well I don't. So that's so fascinating that Molly took it as you dragging him, where we're like, this dude is talking to Brenda, but Kelly's that's so funny. But I felt the same way when I watched it. I don't really know the Brenda of at all. I only know that one scene, so it's like to me, I'm like, oh, this poor guy

like the same way as you, Molly. When when I saw her saying that, I was like, whoa, that's kind of left field. Yeah, she was feeling guilty about almost kissing that other guy so well, and that whole thing was unfortunate. Also because unfortunate, well, it sounded like they had such a negative history, and I didn't love how all of a sudden it's like, oh, everything's fine because now he's not talking negatively about her on a college campus. So it's like, oh, sure it's fine now. Yeah. I

didn't like that either. Good point, Molly. So, originally in the show, Brenda and Dylan were together. They were the first couple, but brendan Kelly are best friends. But Brenda went away for the summer to Paris, and uh, Dylan fell in love with Kelly and they connected. But when she got home, they did the right thing. He broke up with Brenda, and then he and Kelly were together are together. But now Brenda are Something's something, so he's he's in the mix. He's a little mussy. Yeah, okay,

I feel less God for him. Okay, here we go, mission accomplished exactly. This is so exciting. Okay, So what would you um if you had to write the episode one to ten, what would you give it? I would give it a nine only because I didn't know. I loved it, honestly, it was so fun to watch. I loved all the surprised we're in with the youngsters, don't really like us. Yes, it was so fun to watch. I think the only thing was obviously I was a

little confused because I didn't have the full context. So I think if I had started from the beginning, I would have liked it more. Um, which which of the boys do you have the biggest crush on? David, Steve, Brandon, Dylan who like probably either David was the DJ guy the because you don't even think about Brandon. I mean Brandon's Q for sure, but haircut? Do you like his haircut? I'm trying to remember a specific hair gut. I don't

think it's to me as negative or positive. Yeah, you don't have context, but he wasn't immediately like I like brand No, he was cute, but like I kind of liked David with the whole little DJ thing they had going on, and then I just like to doll into I thought he was cute. Well, yeah, welcome to life. Welcome to life. What do you think of Steve? What

do you think of Steve? Steve was like a stereotypical home friend that's like, no, we need to stay together, come on, like trying to kind of coach him through the whole which also can we just talk about that the fraternity is called keg Oh that's not a good name for a fraternity. It just was so great, Like it made me laugh, So I like you and Amy really found that one funny. What is a home friend?

Home friend like your friend friend that then you go to college together, so then they're your home friends in the college world. You know them from home like childhood friend. Like, yeah, I've never heard someone say home friend though. Oh, that's so funny. I feel like we always said, oh, we could learn a lot here. Today I ask some questions. Wait, would you would you kiss Steve? Now, no, you don't kiss a home friend, breaking heart, that's her favorite. You had to kiss one of them. If I had to

kiss one of them, I would kiss Dylan. Yeah, probably that a girl. So we play this game called Kiss Mary or kicked to the curb. So you kiss Dylan, who would you marry? I'd kiss Dylan? Well, no, I'd kiss David. I'd marry Dylan, and then I'd kick Steve to the curb. Sorry, Steve. You know what I like about you, Molly, you know what you want. I's going to serve you well in life, to stick to your guns. You're doing great in Your favorite is Steve, Well, my

favorite is Iron. I love Iron, Iron play st Yeah, my favorite is still probably Brandon, like I love Brando. Yeah, she you know what, she's real thickle, She goes back and forth, she flips. Do you think the show had a combination a good combination of fun, light and serious, because obviously Andrea's storyline is very serious, very so what did you think of the whole sort of as a big picture of a show. I thought I had a

good mix. I think like Andrea's story was a little harder because I didn't know her, because I had no context for her, and I hadn't seen the previous season, so I feel like I maybe would have identified with it a little more or like, not that I didn't feel for her, but I didn't know her at all,

so that was my first introduction to her. But I feel like if I had been watching the show from the get go, then that would have been a good mix of like having her have that serious, difficult thing going on that honestly, I'm sure it's very applicable for a lot of people in real life, So that's great and then having the lightness of the parties and the fun and the boys, um and I think they had little pieces of things that could be deeper, like even

the John paultline could be pretty serious, and so I think they did a good job of mixing that in so that you're still at least hooked. This is great. I love this fresh perspective. Who do you want to be best friends with? Donna, Kelly, Brenda or Andrea before you go Donna. I think I just identified with Donna the most too as I was watching it, Like she was so excited. I was president of my sorority, so

I'm very sorority girl. So and Donna just seemed so excited and like so happy about everything, and I just felt like we would really hit it off. So I loved that she almost didn't graduate them in high school. Oh no, she got drunk at prom. Yeah, oh Donna. And she's also a virgin. But she's a great friend. She seems like a great friend, is a very friend, very very good choice. You're a smart cookie. Thanks. No, I'm excited to watch the rest. Oh yeah, we have a new fan I love. I'm so glad I'm gonna

have all my roommates watch it with me. See you can have an appointment TV like watch the show with them back. They'll love it. Get a party going. Absolutely. Thank you, Molly, Oh my gosh, thank you. This is so fun meeting you. Nice to meet you too. We wish you all the best, and please keep watching. And if you ever want to come back and talk to us about anything that's bothering you about the show, oh my gosh, I will be so ready to do that. I can't wait a jot about it. All right, Thanks Molly,

thank you so much. Bye bye,
