It's nine O gen one.
With Jenny Garth and Tory Spelling. O MG, it's another episode of Na Tuo and Ong. Happy New Year, Happy New Year.
I was waiting for what you were gonna say.
I was gonna say Happy New Year because this is another episode twenty twenty four.
I was trying to be funny. Nine two O two four.
No, that's our reach, I know, twenty four two.
It's twenty four, another year, another.
The years just keep on passing.
We're still in an episode season five.
We're still here.
This is where are we? Like in the middle of season five? You guys?
You know what, I just want to officially apologize when I said season five was my favorite. So I'm just kind of go there.
Oh, I think Tory, I think it's so good. Yeah, I'm liking it.
We're on seventeen.
We're halfway basically right in the middle.
Wow, this episode, you guys, uh is First of all, we got well, I say we we somebody got nominated for an Emmy on this show.
Yes, one and only Emmy nomination for Milton Burrele.
Yeah, and rightly so he's so good in this episode.
Oh my god, what do you remember Melty really remember about meeting him and working with him, and obviously they created that scene for the majority of the cast to be together with him.
That was so like extraordinary right then.
It was so special, Like watching it took me right back to sitting with him.
Yep.
And you know, his character is very well written, very accurately written for our experience of that scene, like he's a.
Jokey, jokey guy, like he loved.
To done cranky sometimes in that day. Maybe it was Heaven, you know, do.
You have any memory of how maybe it was Tori's dad. You all got Milton Burrell on the show.
I don't personally that I don't know. I was like, wow, what a casting coup. This is what for the show. I mean, it normally wouldn't have worked, but because of the storyline, yeah, it worked so well. And did you notice that our good old pal Ian Deering got story by credits? So this was his story, his his idea to do this episode. Yeah, I'm wondering if this episode is inspired by his experience with his own one of his own parents, like maybe his mom.
Oh wow, yeah, I know that he contributed a lot to the It.
Seems like the timeline kind of matches up a little bit if.
You recalling right, I think that's now making sense that you said that. Yet.
Did he have a parent or a grandparent that had Alzheimer's.
I don't want to speak inaccurately, but I have a feeling that his mom had some sort of something something like this, and it was important to him and he wanted to do it. And I'm sure he took this in and really fought for it and made it happen. So kudos to him. Iron's just all over the place right now. He's opening early podcast discussion.
Yeah, like super super Because when the car pulled up, it definitely took me. I was able to like get back into it, but it definitely took me out of the episode for a minute because of obviously I saw that video. I don't know if you all saw it, but yeah, it took me out.
The whole world saw it by now, Yeah, right after it happened, and I was like, oh my god.
What's happening?
Are you okay? But yeah, it's everywhere.
Yeah, it's upsetting, and I just hope everybody.
Is okay totally. And but you're right, I was watching this episode and thinking, oh my gosh, it's written, I mean story by Iron and then it's there's just such a heavy storyline for Steve Sanders is so simpatico. How you know the world is talking about him right now and on that subject matter, and we're talking about him on the show.
We have that right, Yeah, he's any role. We don't even know we're doing it, but we're totally like on Friend.
By Week Christmas, we gave.
You thank Christmas for Christmas? You want Iron heavy? Here you go, world, He's very good.
Here you go people, He's really really good. This episode was was like heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. You know, I cried, really, I really liked it. I cried for sure, like not like wait, but like I got teary eyed. It's gonna lie And.
Usually like we've been good at this point in the game, kind of taking ourselves out of it and watching it as fans. I have to admit though, this one drew me back in of being there. Very cool, So it was hard to watch. I remember that, oh yep, and I was like, oh, get back out of it. Watch as a fan, but yeah.
Do you think it stands out to y'all? Because Milton Burrel. You know, at the time, even more so than now. He was so legendary, right, I think there's probably people watching that as that don't even know.
Them, which is sad. Oh, that's sad.
He was in his eighties, maybe till late mid to late eighties when he filmed this, and he lived seven years longer so he you This was in what ninety five?
What year is it? Ninety four?
Ninety four? And I think he passed away in two thousand and two.
He lives a good long life, yeah, long.
But you know what I think when I see like episode what.
You guys know, the myth, the man, the legend, you know what he's notorious for.
I did not know this?
What what tell us? Tell us?
I want to same thing as John You want to.
On hamd to isn't the same thing that hands.
You said the wait, let me put the dots together. Hold on, let me try, let me try. Okay, you just said the word long twice.
If you do it right now, I mean, who knows. But he obviously legendary, actor, icon, legend, but like was also known for having one of the biggest John Ham's wieners in the business.
Are you kidding me? Right now.
Nope, I said a nice or again, I didn't say it bad word.
I I've never even heard this.
Am I wrong? You guys? I feel like Iron got so close to him. He was like, what's the story, and like they talked about it. I was like, of course they I An has a great story. I don't want to talk out of school. We should have him come tell the story one day. But where Uncle Milty called his house? Do you know.
Now?
I tell all I don't want to say it wrong. It's not my story to tell.
You your best. Oh.
It was something like I wish I could help you out here.
So he called him and Ian was like, uh, did you mean to call me? Like he had gotten his number, like he had it if they needed anything, And he called him and he called his house and it was out of contact. It was while they were filming or going to film. Let's have Ian come on and tell the story. It's a great story, you know. I's such a great storyteller. But it's kind of like you.
I'm like on the edge of oh my god.
He was. Iron was freaking out and he was like it was before they worked together. It was like, you know, while leading up to the episode Randy might know. Wait, Randall, James, are you on.
Randy because.
About the rumor that you that you were alluding to that that is absolutely one, true, true, true that he was known for being uh very well well endowed.
Yes, well, good for him, good for Uncle Milty.
And I believe the boys on set, like Jason and I am were very excited to talk to him about that, of course, and we were like.
I only remember, yeah, that those stories do get.
I Randy about that. Miltonborough called him at home. He got it off like the crew list or like the call sheet.
No, I'm on the edge of my seat.
I know she set this story up and now she's not going to tell it.
He called him at home and and yeah, I mean he was having like dinner and he was like, did he call me on purpose? And he was like, yeah, he wanted to talk about And Iron was just blown away that Miltonborol actually called him. I think let me
go back. You know what if I remember correctly, which once I start talking, I remember, I believe Iron gave him his number and said if you need anything, since we're working so closely, and he actually called him at home when he was just thought it was a prank.
So cool.
Well, we'll let Ian tell the story. But like legendary, yeah, legendary, Jen, do you think in like one hundred years from now, people are going to be like, oh, Jenny Garth and Tory spelling not not voice legendary.
I don't know. I don't know about for you, but I think I had absolutely no intention of being on camera at that age, absolutely nuts, not one hundred years, but at his age, Like you know how Betty White did it until she was very I don't think I got that in me, because maybe you have to endure to be on a set like that and wait for lighting and deal with all the people and have so much patience and that's a lot to ask of an eighty something year old person.
And yeah, and just from a physical standpoint, keep in mind, you guys like Jen and I have been working together since we were in our teens, so now we have each other's backs. But it's a totally different thing we always did. But I mean working together when we filmed like in our forties. Let's say we're fifties. In our fifties, now we would have to check each other because no one else is going to do that they're worried about lighting, setups,
everything else, and we look like, is this showing? Is that showing? Is that hide that fix this? You know, and you know you have to have someone there that's like, nope, don't look that way. No no, no, no no, don't turn that way, pull your sleeve down, your elbow, skins wrinkly. You know, you gotta do that. But in your eighties, I can't even imagine who's going to do that.
You gotta just kind of let it go, let it go. And that was the beauty. You gotta just let that, let all that go. Yeah, let control go. I think that was the beauty of his performance for me in this episode was that he was just so authentic and real and just him. It really felt like we were watching Milton Burle.
Yeah, yeah, I thought the same. And with the Emmy and that he was playing a sort of well known actor. And I loved how they tied in Samantha Sanders show. I thought that was like clever that he was on it and calling Steve chucky, and just that whole the way they did it felt very authentic.
He did well, we should go back and tell Dore thing.
Yeah, sorry, people, we are we've been talking about. Let's see here? Season five, episode sixteen, Sentenced to Life aired January fourth, nineteen ninety four. Today's January fourth.
As long as you're doing it, you guys, So you're welcome podcast world. We will win a podcast award which those.
For our accuracy.
There are a few podcast got something going here? We have to be nominated for a name.
Give us a synopsis, Yeah, synopsis, Ray Prue, It continues to prove he's a bad boyfriend. Brand continues to defend Valerie despite Kelly's concerns. Dylan deals with his dui, Steve bonds with an old actor in a retirement home, and Andrea runs into doctor Peter, who reveals a big seam.
There's so much to I think this episode so good because the Milton Borough stuff was really really good. But so was the Andrea stuff, and so was the Kelly Valerie stuff, and so was you know, the Ray Donnas. Like, there was a lot of good Jesus.
This episode was directed by Jack Bender and written by Steves Truman and Jessica Klein and Iron's earring.
Wow, do you want a couple of tidbits about Milton Burrele Really fast please did you know not only was he on nine oh two and oh, he was on the Fresh Prince of bel Air?
What year.
He was on the Fresh Prince. Let's see if we did it first, he was on Different Strokes in eighty four, he was on counter, she wrote, he was on he sort of he was on the Fresh Prince of bel Air in ninety two. So before this, Wow, he kind of became so famous. And then he became famous on shows like obviously he was on the Love Boat Tori.
You know, like as like a character is himself. Yeah, yeah, I.
Think so, or sort of like he did in nine o two and oh, playing sort of a I think he became so iconic, so legendary that he just did yest appear. That's stunt pasting. He was on that girl. Yeah, it's smart. I dream of Genie. It was on everything. Yeah, anyway, he aggress about.
For some reason, I want to say, he wasn't the first choice for this role, and I don't know why.
Who would have been the first choice.
I'm not sure, but if I remember it that way, it must have been someone that feels like.
It was written just for him. I know I could be wrong.
Wow, I don't know.
I don't you guys want to jump into first.
Andrea looked like a smoke show, like she was so beautiful in this episode?
What whoa like glamour queen. All of a sudden, I was like, oh my.
God, she got the memo.
And why do I sort of want her to hold up with that Dophine?
She looks good because we all do. Is that wrong? Is that wrong? What do you mean that we want her to hook up with the doctor.
It's so bad that I want it.
I want It's not our lives, it's it's a TV show, so we could want it as we watch.
It wasn't as crazy when he sort of I liked him a lot right until he was sort of a d word, like he was a little too.
Oh yeah, you mean when he says the line about you're married. My wife likes to think so it's like, okay, maybe I don't like him as much as I did.
And she says something like you didn't tell me you were married, and he's like, you did either, Like he was a little bit of a.
A little bit, yeah, a little bit, but then he but then he was cute again with his little temple in his chin, he's cute.
I love that he's a doctor. I love that he has a crush on a nurse. I think he's a doctor.
It looks like a nurse to me.
Wait tell me why us why?
I don't know. I just.
Huh.
It was the wardrobe. I think that's the hair. I think it was the hair.
I'm just happy to see a doctor that seems sane compared to Dylan's doctors.
Yeah, they were so. He seemed like a real doctor, like a real guy.
Seemed like doctor Drake Ramore to me, like out of days of our lives, whereas this guy seems like, you know, McDreamy or something.
Intentional.
Yeah, but whoa. She's sort of so is she gonna?
Is she? Is she gonna?
I don't remember we remember because I thought it was him. I thought it was Jesse that was gonna have.
You just wait?
Are excited?
Am I the only one who actually and I think we've talked about this and maybe just really hit me again. I wish that if I had it to redo Dylan and Andrea together.
Okay, what are you doing?
This is a rewind edit the same.
We're firing you can we fire her?
I just put my mouth. I just officially peeked in my mouth. So the first time you guys in twenty four.
Think about it, they are old, I bonded.
No, I won't think about her.
He respects her.
Okay, I don't care.
When they were reading the poetry, they're sipping their coffee there. I think they're reading the No.
You guys see, I'm getting supernauxious.
Fully, I believe fully was No.
I was upset from the get go. Why is she at his house looking so hot reading poetry?
Like?
I get it, they're friends and they're they're like mature friends, but like I was, like, come one.
The baby relationship to me that I would have loved to have.
Oh my god, she's never hung out at his house.
Like, I'm not so upset with you, Amy, I just spit on my computer while I'm trying to do this. I wish you guys could see that.
I can't believe you guys don't want it to anyone listening? Are you with me?
Don't know me. I don't know if anybody's going to back you on this. I just it felt weird, odd and bizarre that she was.
In his house with Jessie than I would with Andrey. I'd give you break. I'm not doing this.
Nothing against Andre. It just doesn't work in my visual.
That's so interesting because for me, they feel so good compatible. Yeah, real, they may be.
They may very.
Well be compatible and healthy, a healthy relationship for both of them.
You know what. I think that's where Brandon would have drawn the line. Not with Kelly, not without I mean, or you know like that, that would have been the one. If Dylan was with Andrea, I think that would have said.
So, I respectfully disagree. I think it would have been a super couple, you know what I mean. That's okay.
Yeah, you can have it.
Your way in your mind.
Okay, did you You're gonna be shredded on Instagram? Wait for it.
We'll see. We'll see about that. I feel like get so much, I'm gonna get a swell of.
Saperl Oh my god, you're too mean to you guys. Has nothing to do with Andrea. It just doesn't work.
Who laughed when Donna said I still don't know who killed that damn mockingbird?
Uh?
Not me?
Because I felt that line's so stupid.
That was really bad, really bad. Do you think I probably was?
Like I think you were like, I don't want to say that, just like to try to throw it away, get it out of that sit as your exiting.
Oh so bad. It was so good. You know, you just jumped to.
A completely different storyline.
But okay, well I'm just trying to move.
We were talking about the new you. I's gidding, okay, old, I'll jump around.
My love of Andrea and Dylan was not received well by you guys.
So sorry to disappoint you.
Like I could go on with that for days.
So here's my next question for you too, based on this episode, is Steve just I don't know what word. There's so many bad words I want to say to describe him. Or is he a sweetheart?
It's he's both. That's the beauty of Steve Sanders. He's kind of a d bag. He's a spoiled brat, but he's also got a heart.
Of gold heart and that's okay. He's multifaceted.
Yeah, and they really craft that character to be that because when he's sitting in that room with that guy who runs the retirement home, I was like, you are an absolute jerk butt head, such a ah I want.
A T shirt says that you are a jerk butt head.
Don't because there's so many D words I want to use, but I'm like.
I'm wearing you guys. Oh my god.
You can't get it where it is.
I was surprised. I was surprised that he got out of community service so easily with that mean man who I love the actor, by the by the way, that actors that would be that Guy's that guy, Kenneth Kenneth Tiger?
Nope?
Was he mister Warren?
Yeah?
Yeah, I got nothing, So I think I've got that right.
I've never heard of the name before, Tiga Tiger.
I don't know I the Tiger.
He's been in a million things, so I was really happy to see his face. But he like, I was like, why why is he just letting him if he's so adamant about.
Not I thought he was take. I thought he was like on.
The well, I didn't feel like he was getting anything from it because he's so cranky about it.
Yeah, maybe he's not getting money, but he's got some sort of arrangement with the court or these big lawyers. Maybe they give money to the maybe they are big donors to the retirement home. I'm not sure, but there was some vested interest that that cat had to letting Steve off the hook.
Yeah, I get into the next episode. I mean.
What made and then also what I didn't really believe the turn for Steve, Like why did he change his mind about doing the community service? Was there a you know what I mean? I felt like that was a little underdeveloped, because.
Yeah, that was underdeveloped, good word for that. But but it was obviously Saul and the relationship, and he sort of was drawn to Saul.
But why would why would mean man, mister h Warren, I think that's mister Warren. Why would he say don't be friends with Saul? Like he's not he's here to die, so don't be friends with him.
That was my question for you guys, because anybody that's volunteering at a retirement home, you would want them to be engaged with the people living there and doing the card tricks. That was very strange of that mister Warren guy. Maybe he's trying to protect Steve. I don't know.
Wait, so you don't think it was kind of like don't be friends with him, knowing he'll go ahead and be friends with him, and it's like.
A flip oh, like a reverse psychology yeah, I didn't feel that.
I didn't get that. I thought he was just taking kind of a God.
I had to tell you watching all this, like the the what do you call it? Old people's home?
What do you call that.
Community?
Okay, community, elderly community. I just it was so too close to home for me, and just like hard to watch and hard to watch the accuracy of the depiction of the the Alzheimer's having, you know, the effect that it had on him. It was just that part was like I was watching Pola and it was hard for us to watch because, as you know, everybody either knows or will know, watching your parents get older and deteriorate is being brutal, and it just is like I get
uncomfortable thinking about it, you know. So this episode was really hard for me to watch on that line.
Well, and it's bizarre for me on a The only thing I'll say about it personally, but in nineteen ninety four, like my dad like couldn't have predicted that he'd end up having dementia one day and that would be so Yeah.
I think it's a testament to how good the acting and portrayal and the writing of those scenes were because I felt the same way and real. It really was quite well done obviously, you know with the oh dangling the keys, Like I'm not saying that's going to go work, but like it was very well done because we all had such sort of an emotional I'll.
Tell you what, though, that dangling of the keys moment that Steve did with Uncle Milty did work for me because my mom was in a fentanyl induced state which is very was very similar to deep dimension Alzheimer's, and she was completely a different person for a certain period of time, maybe a year ago, And the minute I put on music from what I remembered her loving, I could see her body change, like she came out of it.
Not enough to be as bad as Milty was, but like just that sound for her brought back that like internal connection, and so that for me really did work. It was a little weird, but.
Right, right, right, But they go back to what was real, which is all the more reason why that character of the guy running the retirement home was so off putting, because like we all know that human interaction also brings that. So you would think so encouraging of Steve to foster orzation with not just soul but everybody there, but you know, maybe it was just horrible.
Well, Alzheimer's wasn't really a big, huge conversation in nineteen ninety four. I'm so alied you as you know, well, I'm really.
Glad you brought that up, Jenny, because I think once again it's why nine oh two one zero was so ahead ahead important and again probably your dad Torri, like they really brought things into the you know, zeit guys pop culture world like where we were talking about that and I remember this episode from back then and it being sort of that way to talk about Alzheimer's and people my age at the time twenty something talking about Alzheimer's now and.
Here we are in twenty twenty four, still no cure, still dealing with that's horrible, horrible disease.
It's a rough one.
I wonder if the network was had pushed back just because oh it's a you know, sometimes there was it's a teen drama. I guess they're not teens anymore, young twenties, you know, does our you know, demographic, does our audience sorry want to watch this? And it is kudos to my dad and everyone involved in the entire team. It's a collective for saying like, no, this is important and we want to do it and push through. Who knows me the network was I.
Feel like the show is so huge at that point that your dad and the producers could do whatever they wanted. I could be wrong on that, but it seems like and plus they're like, we've Milton, it's such an amazing episode. Like I don't know, I feel like at that point they were the tail was not the tail was wagging the dog. I guess you could.
Say, and just you know, super credit for Ian taking this story idea to them and you know, initiating the conversation to make it happen. But you know, when he wants to drive the car, it is so hard wrenching. He wants to drive so bad. That's the hardest thing to give up when when they get older, when people get older, when we get older, is that one right to drive a car and have that freedom go wherever the f you want?
You know, I don't. I don't want to drive a car.
You don't want to drive a car anywhere? Already walk drive.
I know there's other storylines to talk about, but it is such a it's such a good.
Will not give us my freedom to shop there, So one day I'll remember that.
I will never take it away. But you know, at a certain point you got to take away the freedom to show because it becomes problematic.
Let me tell you, Yeah, well they show have taken that away from me a long time ago.
And thinking about Milton Burrell and the painting scene and the performance he gets Oh, it's so I think this episode was so you know, makes you feel so much because his performance was so good and just when he's in bed everything that Nolan. He deserved that Emmy nomination. I don't think he got the Emmy, but he deserved the nominee.
But he got it in the show, Saul got it.
Because it's it's such a such a different performance and such a different episode and really so good, so good, and how he kind of says like, yeah, I loved your mother, but I really wouldn't had your father's act. And he's so like Steve's so kind of bonded to toa Saul.
Chucky and and I left thinking like, wait, what's going to happen to Saul? And is Steve going to stay friends with him? And you know, I don't I don't want to know what's gonna happen. But I do want to know what's gonna.
Happen because I care.
I'm invested.
He hasn't come back.
I was worried he's gonna you know what? In the episode, yeah, I thought at one point maybe he was. Dave kept walking in the room as I was watching and going, did he die yet? Is he dead yet? I was like, no, stop, He's not dying. You know what I do know is that Steve Sanders looked hot with a mop.
You guys.
Hair, you know you had that little hairy chest showing you know what.
I love that.
Did you see though, when he's sort of getting reprimanded by the mister Warren guy and it's very breakfast clubby almost like he's got his laying up against the walls. I love him dramatic and he's leaning up against the wall like Judd Nelson looks like.
It was good well directed by Jack Bender.
Definitely, can we talk about Steve, not Steve, pardon me, Brandon and Kelly for a minute. Maybe going to the cola cans that were so.
You like that pepsi cola. There's obviously pepsi. People see they took the word PEPSI off and change it to cola.
Ola and were y'all eating pickles?
That cracked me up because I'm about the same age in this episode as I am my middle daughter Lola, and she's obsessed with pickles. Oh, it was just like, of course, that's really actually what a person that age would consider as a snack jar of pickles.
Nothing wrong with that when she feeds me pickles.
I can't eat a pickle without a sandwich and some chips.
I could do them all day long by themselves. You know, Bo who's six. We do pickle tastings like most kids want candy tastings. He wanted to pickle.
You wait, because there's all kinds of pickles yeall? You are you a dill pickle or a bread and butter pickle? Gal?
That's when I need it.
I don't know this about you.
I mean meat. Oh, I'm a like a well corni sean aka girkin.
Oh my god, fancy what?
But also that's the deal, there's.
What is the corniean and GKiN?
Like if you were to do like a charcoterie ward you put out a cool.
Little tiny pickles. They're sour, they're a little dilly. Yeah, I don't like those. I don't like those at all. Maybe not dilly, maybe just sour. That's why I don't like them. But I love a good bread and butter.
Because they're a little sweeter.
The sandwich on a burger.
No bread and butter by itself.
Sorry wait like bread with butter.
No a bread and butter.
Ple know they are they they go well with a hamburger. But I can't eat pickles out of the jar.
Oh how drinking the juice, because that's a bit Wait, you don't do that pickle Absolutely not.
I in fact take the pickle out and put it on a paper towel.
You know you don't drink. But little known fact, not little big is when people drink, they do like a pickleback where they just shot a pickle juice because it's going to help you, like.
Kill the alcohol taste.
Oh my gosh. Do you drink a shot and then a pickle shot or you just drink an alcohol drink and then you drink drink a pickle shot.
Right, it's supposed to help you. What is it? Gen like not get like a hangover from it?
It does something I don't know, but you know what I would enjoy a pickle scented candle. Oh that's a good ideas.
Never seen that idea, my nieces love.
But I have.
Gotten one of those giants got me pickles for the kids. They're like, wait, gummy, Oh yeah, it's candy and pickle. It's candy. It's a gummy, like a gummy you know, they have.
Like a gummy shark. But it's a gummy pickle.
Yeah, and so it's like pickle and it's like a pickle.
Oh gosh, no.
I can't. That's a different that's two worlds colliding, and I'm not into it.
God. That makes me want to ask you, guys, if you've ever done a shot. People are gonna get mad because we're going so sidetracked, but have you ever done the game with the jelly bellies where it's like we just did that bamboos like stinky socks, stinky socks.
Literally just did that holiday They're so good. Were'spin the thing and then you have to eat whatever it lands on and maybe it's good or maybe it's bad. It's either gonna be rotten egg or it's gonna be toasted marshmallow. Wait, we just did this. I refuse to play. We were in Wyoming, hated so weird. I didn't play. I was cooking while they were doing it, and people just kept running into the kitchen and like vomiting in the kitchen, getting like two.
Yeah, that's so good.
It was fun to watch them.
Good job on Jelly, Belly's part, such a good game.
Yeah, it's great.
Okay, so getting us back on track. And Kelly. Yeah, and Brandon's being a bit of again a D word. He's being so light.
So did he's listening to this podcast in the evening or somewhere safe and you're taking shots every time Amy does? Does the D word? Make a shot or a pickleback?
A pickle shot to Kelly?
Stop the bombing?
Yeah? Yeah he did.
Like the bombing of Valerie.
Yeah, I mean I get it. I feel like Kelly is being very judgy and very opinionated, but she has her reasons well, and she's operating off of instinct, which we all know. You know, some people have very strong instincts. I think Kelly has very strong instincts about this girl, who knows if they're ultimately going to be right. Because this episode, you think she's right, and then you think she's wrong. So it's hard to know if Kelly's being a bitch or.
If she's seen all ten seasons, she's pretty right.
She's pretty accurate.
Yeah, okay, on brand.
Orry with the best line ever, I've seen all ten seasons.
I have to break it down for you guys.
What about when Valerie says, I kind of wait going back to Brandon Killy, I kind of did enjoy when they're like, would they say back and forth? Back? And fine?
Fine?
Fine?
Fine? Was this when she was asking for the notes?
Oh?
When Valerie comes in and Asktron and says she's been in Jamaica, And I was like, girl, she got no tan, right, she came back from Jamaica. Why don't we go.
Lire any user? That's my favorite.
She's a liar and any user those user is something that our age says. But I don't think like the younger Jen says user or they might say what they say.
Us, but.
Wait, what would they say sus that person sucks?
Oh it is I.
Heard that is out, but I love it so much. I'm gonna say it me too. When you said it off, I'm telling tales. But the other day before we got on the air. We were all talking in Torris like is that sus? And I basically peed my pants. I was like, it's so.
Good by the way I say it all the time, and my teens are like, no one says that.
Well, you can't keep up.
You can't keep up with the kids lingo these days to that.
In high school and college. So she's such a user and it was so like she's just using you. Like it was like, oh my god.
It's shame for saying, Oh, that's so grubby grubby? Is that?
Like where did you say that it's so grubby? Meaning?
Can you give us a sentence with them?
Oh? Oh my god, you guys, let's eat this and that's gonna be that food. It's so grubby.
Oh like good grub.
Okay, like grub's like we were in early two thousands, you'd be like, oh, let's go grub. I doub I wasn't wrong, Jenny slash Kelly.
I do think you were right in not giving her the notes. It's like, if you miss.
One, can you call her Kelly slash Jenny?
Yes, Kelly slash Jenny.
You don't think she should have given her the notes?
I mean no, because it's one thing if she missed one class, but like she never went, and then she wants to use you. I understood you.
Yeah, I guess that's all right. I was a little sensitive to it because she's being kind of mean, and I don't like to see Kelly be mean.
But yeah, and Brandon's like, you go out of your way to be mean, and it's like, yeah, you kind of do.
But she's so please would dig that mister Brandon give his notes away to some kid that came no way?
Okay, so I have a controversial opinion here. Oh, let's talk about Ryan Donna. Oh if I didn't know what was coming, I actually think Donna is maybe overstepping a bit.
Yeah, yeah, I agree there meddling into his life, he says, yeah, making decisions for him before even running it by him.
That's like, it's very Donna.
Actually, well, you're excited, she's excited, she wants to help. So that is totally Coyote Ugly.
Did you guys ever see Coyote Ugly? The same storyline Bar He's like, yeah, she's like the songwriter, but she's got stage fright. And then the guy like pyper pabose thing. I know, it's such a. It's such an awesome movie, but it totally down as kind of being the guy raised Like I'm a songwriter, but I don't like hyper pair.
But what is she doing now? She was great?
She's in Yellowstone?
Oh she is.
Do you think that Jamie is a ray is doesn't want to do it because he's afraid to perform or he doesn't think he's good enough obviously.
Yeah, Tori, what is your take there?
I think it's the worst thing. Like he doesn't feel well, I mean.
Look at worth.
It go back to childhood, like you know, he feels he's not worth much. So even though he's so talented, that's going to always kick in in the back of your mind, front of her mind. Yeah, I think it's that.
Yeah, I think he's got like hyote ugly scenarios stage fright. Thinks he's a songwriter but doesn't think he can perform.
And that's a valid point. I'm a songwriter, not so much a performer, because that is a thing, like there are people that are so talented and in songwriting, but they are not into performing.
Yeah. And also I think he's sort of like, you know, he's sort of a how do you talk to an angel. He's not like dance on Jovi, you know, Like.
I understand, but I'm not going to go with stage fright because he went for it with Ye roll In and the Hall Ride for all the kids.
He like got ran and he performed on the stage of the Rolling Stones member at the right.
I think he's not up to the level on this thing. Maybe I don't know. There's something worse is probably Tory might be worthy. Should we go to the laundromat?
Yeah?
That was I like their flirty flirt. I can't help it.
Yeah, I thought you were going to say it the laundra Mac. You didn't want to mix the colors and the white sox get turned pink or something? Right, does that happens one?
Yeah? Well I had to teach you that he's really.
Good at laundry, you guys, I am.
He taught me laundry is my jam.
Well, okay, then I need to know do you mix? Do you mix your blacks? Do you do like do you separate your colors? Like put your reds and pinks and burgundies in one and then you're blues and greens and dark.
Level. Okay, this is the thing. It depends on the newness of the material and the quality of the material, because you've got to know if it's going to release that pink or the red. And because for instance, uh, Fiona just got a brand new Barbie sweatshirt for Christmas, so cute and pink, and she washed it with her jeans, so her blue things. It came out like all smudgie with blue stuff all for it. And I had to really work on that. People, did you have the.
Same thing happened to me with some pink a Internation sweats I washed them with blue and they have blue splotches.
It's really no because you never know when they're going to let go of a little blue what what? What?
Okay, you'd be so proud of me, so Stella taught me. Also, if you're in a hurry and you want to mix all the colors, you just do it on a cold walk.
I've heard that too.
To that's risky.
Oh it is, tell me.
That it's risky. It depends on the depth of the die, like the depth of the color of the garment. And I wouldn't per okay, okay, I won't, no, okay, but you know I do hate to run a half like a half a load or like a few things in one load. So say you have like three or four bright red or yellow things you got to separate at people?
Yeah, take the time.
Were you all shocked he was married?
Okay, going back in, Yeah, I was shocked.
Nice segue.
I really.
I was shocked because he doesn't seem like it. He's it was a very and I didn't. I didn't. Did they ever refer earlier to her being the babysitter of Hannah?
Yes?
Did? She sort of assumed did. But now, well, the thing that I did not notice in the earlier episode when he was in, and I'd like to go back, was he wearing a ring? Because he says he was. But I want to go back, some eagle eyed person, I want to go back and see because I didn't I usually notice that.
Yeah, well she would have noticed if he was wearing a ring. I would thing.
And does she not wear a ring?
Right?
Good question?
Good quesh.
She feels like the type that would always wear a ring.
Maybe she takes it off to do the laundry because or maybe.
Like guy wear rings aka yourself, Now, I never take my rings even when you're washing dishes.
No, I do everything in my rings. But look, I do everything in my rings.
She has nothing. Okay, So that another storyline I want to talk about quickly. Is Jesse really telling Dylan the what for? Like really saying you need to do this? I like how Jesse is literally not intimidated by Dylan in his coolness or anybody.
He always brings like straight truth. Yeah, Jesse's what you need to do? Are you an idiot? He kind of feels like the when he is dispensing his advice, He's very like, why are you so stupid? Why would you do it that way? You gotta do it this way.
He's very I'm a lawyer, I know everything.
Yeah.
But Dylan's got, you know, probation and he just lost his license for a couple of months.
How did you hear about this? Oh?
I'm glad. We're sort of tying it up.
Okay, So what would what? He got a probation and he lost his license for driving drunk off the cliff and he had hero heroin in his car and he lost his license for a couple of months and got probation. Is that normal?
Is that? How he really hot when he's in a suiting. So they want to get this.
And when he went to court in that suit, they were like, he's the first time.
Offender who's gone to rehab. I'm going to say it's not an outlandish.
Be careful, are you sure?
Pretty sure?
I mean maybe the drunk driving part, but the off the cliff part and the heroin in the car part.
Wait, they didn't find the heroine.
They never found the heroine.
The guy basically sniffed it, licked it, and I guess that guy threw it away because in this episode one says they never find it. He threw it away?
Are you kidding?
Throw it away? He went home and used it, know the.
Car, the cop picked it up or somebody picked it up.
Yeah, you were me right.
Oh that's awful, terrible.
Yeah, you don't care. You want it to be over. I want to move on.
Come back and moving on.
I'm enjoying the movie.
Did you like that?
I like that way too. What do you guys like about fashion? Do it to me now? I did not care for Claire's mini dress personally. Oh you know it's so short?
You know when we get upset at that? Because you know I loved it. Where are we talking? Uh? The racing?
Yeah?
I mean it gave me like, what's the girl? That's when the cars are uh the flag? No cars?
The what the flag girl?
Flag girl was like and racers ready.
Yeah, it was just really like in your face, like yes.
Which is everything I like and everything you don't like? Yeah?
I like Tory slash Donna's it was Ordyle crop sweater vest.
That's cute.
That was cute. That stood out to me. Yeah, I think I was very in the episode. I didn't notice Steve did have sort of an unbuttoned shirt.
Yeah.
But the Will Ferrell movie where he's a night at.
The Roxbury.
Guy, what's that movie called?
Oh you know what I'm talking about?
Talladega Knights, good one.
I remember that very Talladega Knights.
To me, yeah, it just for me personally, it pulls your eyes so much that it takes you out of the reality of the situation. Although it does although it does suit her character as our characters gook a doo and like a cutting edge in a different direction than the norm. So it does work for a character. But personally I was like, hey, what a dress? Oh, what's happening in the same.
What are dress? Too much? Dress? Kind of to the dress is just.
I remember that.
Hey, what are dress?
That's it. That's really all I have to say about this episode.
Yeah, well, what do you give it?
Oh? I give it ten nine point eight.
By a D if I give it less than a ten, yes, I mean you have to give it t Yeah, thanks, give it a ten.
Yeah, you have to nominate him for an Emmy and give it a ten.
Ten ten, it's a it's any excellent? Oh my god, please, it's an excellent episode.
It really is.
And it's different. But we didn't lose the nine two one Oh wekness, which was what I really appreciated. Yeah, they have figured out how to do a special story without giving me just garbage with my other my other pals.
Well, speaking of garbage, next week we have no. I'm just kidding a joke because because you said it was really good, it was she broke the golden rule. She watched an episode ahead. Marie has cheated on all of us, and she knows what's going to happen next week.
It was so good I couldn't I buy Why?
Why? Why? What was so good about? Did you want to see if if Uncle Milty died?
No?
Next week?
What episode is next?
I want to see you start to transition into the cult.
That's happening the psychology class.
Is that right? And we kind of buy some foreshadowing in this episode.
You Tory, we're shadowing next is it?
Next?
Evolution is it?
Oh my god, Oh.
My god, and that Kelly and the cult is everything. So keep watching, all.
Right, people, you heard it here. Next episode, Season five, episode seventeen, Sweating it Out. Tune in next week.
