Hi, Welcome back to another reality TV recap. Today, we're going to talk about Gypsy Rose Live after Lockup season one, episode five, and I did skip episode four because not a lot happened until the very end. So we learned towards the end of episode four that Christy, gypsy stepmom, was talking to her ex fiance Ken this whole entire time. They were actually keeping in touch a lot. They were talking all the time, and they were

talking about Gypsy. So by the end of the episode, it was pretty obvious that Christy, her stepmom, was really trying hard to get Ken and Gypsy back together again. I know a lot of people don't like Ryan. He definitely has a lot of red flags. However, whether you like him or not, it's undeniable that what she's doing is so messed up. If I were Ryan, I would be so devastated, so upset, and I think he has every right to be feeling the way he does. Now,

let's move on to episode five because it was really juicy. So in the beginning of the episode, they're unpacking a bunch of dog stuff and I'm like, oh my god, that means they're getting a dog. Now, just in case you forgot. Ryan did not want a dog, but Gypsy was the one who really pushed for it. He felt like they weren't ready yet. Did I expect to have a puppy today? Absolutely not. I just

wanted all my ducks in a row before we got it. But Gypsy really really wanted the dog, so clearly he was doing it more for Gypsy. But regardless, he's excited because he's always wanted his own family. After Gypsy told Ryan about how she had been talking to Ken this whole time, he contacts Rod and pretty much asks for backup, like Christy keeps talking to Ken. I feel like she's disrespecting my marriage. Yeada, YadA, YadA, yet, like can you please talk to her? Which is kind of weird.

I feel like he should have talked to Christy directly, but whatever, he did what he did, and Rod did have a talk to Christy because Rod agrees that what Christy is doing is very disrespectful. If you're going to talk to Ken, fine, be friends with Ken, but why are you bringing Gypsy into this? And he tells her I told you to stop reaching

out to Ken, Like stop, don't talk to him. I'm not getting involved and I'm just I do like and don't ever you allowed the door to open up, And she's like, well, I just don't understand why you can't be friends with your exes like I'm friends with all my exes. Okay, you want a cookie? Like, good for you, Lord, I'm friends with all my exes. I absolutely agreed with Rod when he told Christy that when Ken reached out to her to talk about Gypsy, she should have

shut it down there. But Christy explains that from her point of view, she doesn't want to hide anything from Gypsy because she knows that that's what Dedie did. Dedey hid so many things from Gypsy and lied to her, and she doesn't want to be anything like DEDI I'll promise her that I would never keep anything from or because that's what Dadi did. If she needs to hear what is ever, he asks the say for her to heal, let her

freaking heal. Whether you like Ryan or not, you have to admit that what Christie's doing is efed up. Like if Ken and Gypsy want to talk to each other, they want to get back together, they're going to find a way to do so, with or without Christy. Ryan drives Gypsy to pick up the new puppy, and while they're in the car, she's texting away and he's kind of looking over and like, who are you texting?

Like what's going on? And remember, Gypsy hates when he hovers. Remember she's like air hammering again and listen, I get that he's feeling insecure now that Ken is back in the picture kind of, but like, if you know your wife hates when you ho her and look over her shoulder, don't do it. Also, you're driving, so your eye should be on the road, sir. But anyway, he just keeps looking over. He's like, who you text? And honey, babe, I'm just texting my sister.

So you're feeling any are to reach out to? Can now? Honey? The situation's all done, all right. That's why I love you, honey. Stuff you trying to get there. I'm just texting my sister, honey, So relax. I'm very relaxed, just asking what's going on? I know. Then they pick up the puppy and it's so cute. It kind of looks like a shitsu, but the nose is a little too big, so I don't know what kind of dog that is. But they named her Pixie. And when they get back to the apartment and the puppy was

just hopping around so cute. Aren't puppies so freaking adorable? It feels like this is a good decision for me and Ryan. I think it'll it'll give us something to kind of bring us closer together. It's a brand new morning and she's spending the day with her half sister Mia. No. I didn't know this, but they're ten years apart. Gypsy is ten years older and Mia was really young when Gypsy went to jail, so they haven't spent that

much time together. I was really sad when Gypsy talked about how beautiful Mia is, and when she looks in the mirror, she feels like a six. She feels ugly because her mom used to always tell her that she was undesirable, and she would look at Mia and wonder why couldn't she be born pretty like Mia. I mean, this is just so heartbreaking to compare yourself. I mean, we all do it right, but to see someone else doing it, you kind of get a different perspective and you're like, oh

my god, that's so sad. I look in the mirror and sometimes I'm like, yeah, my mom was right, I'm not desirable. And I look at my sister and I'm like, they're so pretty. I wish I was born pretty. So yeah, there's something that she's always wanted to change for a really long time, and that is her nose. So she scheduled at rhinoplasty to get rid of the hump. Gypsy also talked about how she saw videos on social media calling her a big nosed, beady eyed, Ninja

Turtle looking bitch. I mean, who that hell is saying this stuff? That's so freakin' mean. People are so mean about it too. I watched one video there's this dude that said they knows SPEEDYI Ninja Turtle looking me, Like, my heart literally broke for her. Okay, so this is the

thing. I was watching this part and I was like, oh my god, I'm pretty sure I've said things about people like on reality TV about their looks, Like I know, I called big ed humpty dumpty, And I told myself I wouldn't make fun of people's appearance, like things that they can't change, like their outfits, their clothes, their hairstyle, their choice and makeup, shoes, whatever that I can make fun of because that's a choice. You can change it. Let's just use big Ed as an example.

So Big Ed, we all know he's narcissistic, he's manipulative, he is a gas lighter, he is verbally very abusive in his relationships. He's just not a good person and I do not like him. But that doesn't mean I should make fun of his neck or his height, because those are things that he can't change. And if there's someone else out there who looks just like him, I don't want them to feel bad for having those physical traits.

And so that's why I like, I'm not perfect, so I will make mistakes, because before I would, I would go balls to the walls. I'd be like, I don't care if this person is a bad person, we can make fun of them because they are bad people. But then I just thought about the other people who have that similar traits, and I don't want them to feel bad. So anyway, watching that scene of Gypsy Rose comparing herself to her sister and like reading the comments about her physical appearance

really did break my heart, all right. So Gypsy and Mia have like a girly spa day and she gives her all the tea about Ryan and Ken, and then she gives her more tea about how she's never experienced the big oh, you know, the big pleasure with her current partner or any previous partner. And it might also do with the fact this is, according to her, that she was molested when she was younger, and therefore she kind of has this constant mental block and she can't get herself to relax or to

truly enjoy herself, which I did find very sad. Gipsy also tells Mia that Ryan's buttercream frosting went inside her cookie two days ago, and MIA's like, oh my god, do you want to take something for it? And she was like, isn't it too late? And she goes, no, you have up to seventy two hours. We can go to the pharmacy pick

something up, and you can take it. And she's like, oh nah, I don't think anything will happen because nothing happened last month, and Mia goes, he creamed in your cookie last month too, and she goes, yeah, the d was fire. So they're in the car. She calls Ryan to tell her that she's gonna go get planned b because he creamed in her cookie two days ago, and then he feels very embarrassed because he's like,

oh my god, you're doing this in front of the cameras. Why are you talking about this very personal personal thing in front of the cameras, in front of the whole entire world. And he's very upset, he's very cranky. And she's like, okay, well we'll talk to you Elena, and they hang up. Well, I told Nia about you know, a few nights agoes, you know, our little tossle in the sheets. I'm morning after pill type of thing. Okay, he's mad. I can just

tell he's not happy. Ultimately, she decides that she should probably take the pill just in case, because she's not ready to have a baby right now. So they go to the pharmacy. She takes a pill, and thank god for Plan B because it saved my dumb, immature ass a few times back in the day. I think I'll know when I'm ready, when I can fully say that I could put myself aside and put a child first. She goes back home. She's filming Ryan from her cellphone because he's still upset

that she aired their private intimate moments on national TV. He's a teacher, he works in a school, he works with kids, And when he put it like that, I did feel pretty bad. And Gypsy's like, well, I didn't think of it like that in the moment and he steps outside, he just needs some fresh air. He's like, really upset. I did find it very weird or unsettling that Gypsy was filming all of this while he was upset. But maybe it was requested by the producers, like if

they're not there with their cameras, can you please film it? I don't know, But then again, she is very prominent online, like she loves to live stream all the time and talk about her personal stuff, So maybe this is just a part of her to who she is. She likes to air everything out. But I did feel bad for Ryan when he was like, why are you filming this? Like we're having a no argument right now. It's real private and it's personal. Like stop filming because you're not acting

the way I thought you'd act that day. Is not figher. You can't bring me down hi right now. And this part, oh my god, it made me so uncomfortable. She accused him of acting like her mother, like her og mother, Dedie, She's like you're doing what my mom did. You're mad at me because I am confided in someone and you keep telling me who to talk to and who not to talk to. And that's exactly what my mom did. And Ryan's like, oh no, please don't do

that. What I'm feeling right now is the same way that my mom made me feel whenever I will walk if I told too much, she would act like you're acting bea say that and she was like, yeah, you are. You're mad at me because I confided in someone, And he tells her, I'm not mad that you told me about it. I'm mad that you told me about it in front of the cameras. I really do get it.

I think that's valid. What do you guys think. I might regret saying this, and I might change my mind, but right now I don't dislike Ryan. I feel like he has many flaws, of course, and there are red flags, but I don't think he's a bad person. And Gypsy tells producers that if she feels like he's trying to control her, like one more time, if she feels triggered, she's going to have to leave.

Know if Ann's are butts and Ryan's in a very difficult position because he doesn't know how to move or what to say, or how to act, because it's almost as if he can't really express the way he feels when he's upset, or if he feels a certain way about Gypsy talking to Ken, because then it's going to trigger her and it's going to remind her of her mother, which he doesn't want. So then what is he supposed to do.

The episode ends with Ken getting all miked up. He's never spoken to the media, he's never done an interview, but he feels like he needs to share his side of the story. It needs to be heard. This situation has blown up bigger than he ever imagined, and everybody and their neighbor and their mother and their father and their sister brother, they're all talking about it. So he finally wants to speak up. Is also a short scene where he was playing with his dog and he was like, Gipsy and I

always talked about getting a husky. We were gonna name it this, but you know, they never got the chance to. So he got his own dog and he named it Parker. Now, I don't know if that was like a dig at her and her new black and white puppy. But speaking of the puppy, you guys, y'all told me in the comments that she no longer has the puppy, so of course I had a follow up on this and I was like, what the fore cappened to that puppy? Quick

spoiler alert just in case you don't know. In real time, Gypsy and Ken are back together. She and Ryan are separated. So basically, she said that she left the dog with Ryan because a dog liked Ryan Moore Gee, I wonder why. Hm. I'm just really happy that Ryan is taking care of the dog and he loves the dog. In the preview for the next episode, it looks like things between Gypsy and Ryan goodem no, and

I can't wait till muched because the d is fine. I know I need to stop that, but yeah, that is it for the Life After lock Up recap. Let me know all your thoughts in the comments and I will talk to you guys in the next one. Bye.
