I miss last week's episode, so I'm gonna be recapping episode five and setting you're obsessed with TLC and all the trashy reality TV threecap is threecap it's So, starting with episode five, we meet a new cast member, Anna, who's an English teacher in Brazil. She's vegan, loves boxing,
and she's super gorgeous. All her ex boyfriends have been Jim Bros, like super buff and tough, so she decided to try something a little different, and now she's dating Matthew, the complete opposite. He's a content creator in Texas. I'm not really sure what kind of content he creates, but he's got twenty two thousand followers on social media. Now I did find his
Instagram and he's got a round a thousand followers there. So I wonder if the social media platform that he's talking about is TikTok, because I know TikTok lives are crazy, Like you're just swiping on your for you page and you don't have a choice. You just get these random lives once in a while and you can decide whether you want to join or not, and I have seen some really really weird ones. Unfortunately, I couldn't find his TikTok account. If he even has one, I don't know, so if anyone finds
his handle, let me know. Basically, he goes live and talks to the random people who joins his live stream. One day, Anna happened to join one of his live streams, and that's how they met. They started talking, they even met up in person, and their rest was history. I actually think they make a cute couple. She's like the super pretty cool girl and he's this nerdy, geeky guy, and I like them together so
far. So they're engaged and they're waiting for her K one visa to get approved, and in the meantime, he's going to Brazil to see her again, but this time it's going to be Durning Carnival. Now I've never heard of carnival. I don't know what it is, but apparently it's a huge part of Brazilian culture and it's just like this big party. Everybody joins. People dress up in fun costumes, you drink, you dance, you're outside. You just have a blast and no one's supposed to judge you for it.
Matthew has never been to Carnival, and he's kind of worried because she's nine years younger than him, so he doesn't really know if he can keep up with her, but he's going to try his best. He also has some bad news for Anna. He initially thought it was going to take him six months for the Kwan visa decision, but when he talked to his lawyer, he was told that it could take years, so Matthew was a little insecure. He's hoping that when he tells Anna that it may take way longer
for her to get to America, that she'll stick around. Now. I don't know about you, but if your significant other is going to leave you just because they can't get to America as soon as possible, I mean, the Kwen visa is not even up to him. Okay, it's out of his hands. So if your partner leaves you because of that, then you've got a much bigger problem. Okay. Talk about Jordan and Everton. So they get into the car, the vibes are so awkward, like, get
me the f out of here. I just can't handle the awkwardness. How are you good? How are you great? Great? They get to their hotel. He decorated it with flowers and balloons, and she's like, oh, you decorated huh cool? Thanks? I like the room you decorated. Yes, I'll keep this, thank you. Okay, this is weird. I don't understand what's going on because she's visibly acting weird and awkward and something
is wrong. Even a blind person could see that something is wrong with her, and she's saying things like after she saw all the decorations, she was like, is this supposed to be a distraction? Flower? Is? Honey? Well? Thank you? So is this a distraction? So I don't ask your tough questions? And she also said something like I'm okay for now. You're good for now? Okay, thank you baby. I mean, it's so clear that something is bothering her, but Everton is not asking any
questions. Wouldn't it be normal for someone to be like, is everything okay? Why are you acting like this? Are you upset with me? You're acting a little weird? But no, Everton asks her no questions. Everything's fine, even though she's acting so off. Later that night, they go to dinner, she starts talking about their business. I mortgaged my house and spent everything I had in my savings to buy this piece of land. I've
put about six hundred thousand dollars on the line. Six hundred thousand dollars, Holy Fork and Fork, you spent six hundred thousand dollars by mortgaging your house on a property with a guy you've been on and off for for twelve years.
She's like, when's the money going to start coming in, Everton, because it needs to happen fast, And he's like, I understand, trust me, I'll get this going quick, and she goes well, speaking of trust, I got a voicemail from a woman about you, so she plays it on speakerphone for him, and again, this is all so weird. First of all, the voicemail itself, it sounds like someone is reading lines and they're auditioning for a part in a fucking movie or something. You know
what A man evidence, he's a dog. I think he's done here being faithful, He's been right here. I felt like I was watching a scene from a soap opera. Now I got even more confused by Everton's reaction because he legit looked upset. He looked kind of scared and thrown off guard. Bitch is crazy, you're right. And then Jordan goes, you're right and you chose her, And I'm again still so confused, like did he cheat? Did he not cheat? Were you guys on or were you guys off?
During this time? I think he cheated because he said it was just a fling. You've done what you've done. I hope you enjoyed yourself. How am I supposed to trust you when you're not being forthcoming about what you're doing when I'm not there? And she called him a liar and she was mad that he didn't tell her the truth. And then she says something like, you know how small that island is? You know how small that island
is? And then he looks again upset, like he looks like he's actually upset, not acting for the cameras, and he drops the F bomb a couple of times. She was just a fling. You weren't telling me the truth. I don't want to say no, that's that's best. I think not having anything to say is probably the safest thing to do right now. I feel like we're missing a big part of this story is he scared of
her because to me. He looked afraid, and she looked so calm, like a little too calm, and she doesn't even seem mad about him possibly cheating. If that's what he did, we don't know. No one says anything. We're not given Eddie clear information of what even happened. Don't ever keep a secret from me again, or it's going to cause us a lot of trouble. And I can't be the only one who thought that he looked scared, like I feel like she's holding something over his head. I don't

I didn't know this, but he can actually sing. He has a very nice voice. He's like, oh, okay, no, that's not it. I'm sorry. He's going to film a music video for his new song that he wrote for Carlos. So they go to this nice hotel, but before they shoot the music video, they start
talking about their wedding in a couple of days. Valentine makes it clear that he doesn't want Michelle there. If you don't know who Michelle is. It's a woman that Carlos met and then developed very deep feelings for and asked her out, but she rejected him. After the rejection, Carlos and Michelle became very very close friends, and he continued his relationship with Valentine. You weren't ready to choose me. You were going to choose her. She just didn't
choose you. Back in twenty when I mear her, you and I we haven't even meet in person. At that time. I was not sure that this was going to work. But these dance everything was against us. So Carlos tells Valentine, Michelle's my best friend and she means so much to me. I really want her at my wedding. Plus, nothing ever happened between us. We never hooked up, we never kissed, like nothing. Valentine's like, well, nothing ever happened because she rejected you. Had she accepted,
then y'all would have been a thing. And Carlos is like, okay, but nothing happened, and Valentine's like, I don't care. I don't want her there. I don't feel comfortable. So then Carlos is like, fine, then I won't invite Michelle. So you don't invite your friends either, and then Valentine says, my friends already bought their tickets. Then Carlos says, okay, then Michelle is coming all right, So whatever is going on with you her is nothing. He's going on nothing, he's going on.
Okay. I don't want to talk about in normal because I made my decision. Oh my god, this is Toxica's hell. I don't know how you're going to start a marriage like that. All right, it's time for Jessica and One. So Je takes Jessica, her boys, and her best friend to his house where he lives. He gives them a tour of his place and then explains to the boys that he's building seven apartment units right above him to rent out once Bond comes to the US. He's not going to
go back to his crew's job. Jessica, Jessica, Jessica. Wow, she was so pleasant in the first episode and I was rooting for her, but now she has annoyed the fork Atomy. She wants one to change his whole damn life as soon as possible. She wants him to build those apartments a SAP so that he can quit his cruise job and she reminds him every chance she gets. She tells him, you know your cruise life is over. You're going to be a dad now we have to raise his child together.
I need his cruise life to be over. I'm pregnant, and I'm really needing him to be present in the baby's life as well as my boys' lives. So I'm really needing these apartments done as soon as possible. Listen, I totally understand her wanting Juan to be a present father in their child's life, of course, but maybe you should have talked about this before getting
pregnant. Don't you think maybe you both should have discussed a timeline. For example, you and Juan could have sat down and talked about when these apartments were going to be done by. Then you could have planned a timeline to file his visa, get married, move in together, and then start planning for a baby. How about that. Juan takes Jess to show where the apartments that he's building, and she is not impressed. She tells him it
looks exact act the same as two months ago. Quan tells her that he only has a small team and he's using his own money that he's making from his cruise gigs to pay the construction workers, so he can only afford to do this very slowly. And she's not happy about this because remember her plan is to have him quit his cruise job after his upcoming one. So he has an upcoming contract that goes on for six months and then after that she
wants him done. And honestly, I felt bad for him because he was so excited to show her the progress and the apartments and this is something he's proud of, and she comes in and just takes a big, fat, watery dump on it. She's like, this is it. This is all you did in two months. You need to work faster. You have a baby coming, You're going to be a father. You're not going to go back on that cruise. You have to be here for me and the baby.
We need you and we need these apartments to support us. The reality is like, you don't get to take another cruise contract, even if we're needing that, Like, you have a baby coming and I can't have you going for six to eight months. We need you and we need this to help support us. I can just see the light in his eyes fading out. I refuse to be in Wyoming raising three kids while one is off in
the cribbeancy on a cruise ship. Well, you're gonna have to. It's hard finding a job, and if he's making great money on the cruise ship, then he's got to go. What do you want from him? Maybe you should have thought about this before getting pregnant. What the I'm getting pissed off again. Then she brings up the other woman, claiming that she had hooked up with one on the last cruise, and this is probably why Jessica
is so adamant about him not going back on the cruise. I just need this to get done, and I need it to get done quickly, because don it gets done and if it Dawson, Well that's it for the recap of Leven Paradise episode five.
