This is seventy six Ers. Rewind time now to listen back to postgame reaction from the team's most recent game. The final road trip of the season for the Philadelphia seventy six is a two game road tripper, starting in Chicago tonight and obviously again on Tuesday. As Tom again has pointed out in Miami, Hello, this is the Sixers postgame show here on the Sixers Radio Network. I'm Divine Givens.

And with that start in Chicago tonight, they reach fifty wins for the second straight season, back to back fifty win campaign since the eighty four, eighty five, eighty five eighty six seasons. Brett Brown, of course, congratulations to him for guiding these two seasons back to back with these two ball clubs led by Joel and bad Ben Simmons and the rest of the corps. As they win tonight

in Chicago one sixteen ninety six. Great performances from JJ Reddick and Joel and bad solid contribution overall with six players and double figures for the Philadelphia seventy six tonight, and they pretty much got things out of the way. Relatively early late run by the Chicago Bulls, but it wasn't enough, as the seventy sixes again win this game by twenty points. As we head back to the United

Center checking in with Tom again. As Tom, as Brett Brown pointed out, and the end of the postgame press conference there outside of the visitors locker room, the goal, of course was to come in here flat out and get a win, reached number fifty and in that three game winning streak. And they did that handling their business tonight. Yeah they did. And you know they obviously they should have beaten this team and they were able to do

so by by twenty points. And you could just see a clear separation in talent level with the likes of a beat out there against some of these younger Chicago players. There were a number of fays into the lane by the Walt Lemon junior, who's gotten an explosive quickness and you know, for brief moments, not just tonight, but in the few games that he's played in that he's from Chicago. He brought up some some hopeful reminiscence of Derek Rose,

who obviously played here at Simeon High School. But my point is, you know, Dwell with just swatting those shots away, and you almost in watching the game, and we're lucky enough to sit courtside here in Chicago, you're almost like. Ebad was like, are you serious? And meanwhile, and the younger players for the Bulls are like, oh my gosh,

this is so difficult. Because Joel was dominant at times here and JJ continues his hot streak, Ben was solid, Tobias Harris had his moments, and I thought the bench played a lot better. And again, if those were the Bulls starters, then their bench was even a deeper Obviously reserve if you will for the Bulls and Greg Monroe lucas As here only had one basket shake, didn't do a whole lot of things out there. I thought TJ played well and boban ever efficient as always four for five.

I'm going back to JJ Reddick who four time there when Joel Embiad was out. You can maybe attribute some of the shooting woes to the absence of Joel Ebad since they worked so well together in tandem. But over the last five games, over twenty three points a game, and tonight with the twenty three very efficient once again eight to twelve from the field, four of seven from he looks very comfortable out there right now. Oh he does.

And he's really as a basketball fan, he's so fun to watch because he works so hard and he makes the most of the limited opportunities he gets. In other words, you know, he's not taking a lot of guys off the dribble, but the small little openings he gets around the arc, he's he's like a basketball sniper. He's able to score in a tight window. And you know, again

he sets great screens. He's got a tremendous basketball IQ, and he's just really especially when you have a big man like him, be that commands so much defensive attention from the opposition. And that's part of the reason that grouping works so well. That as you saw the kind that tannem on the perimeter with the dribble handoffs, you know, they fear that it Bed's gonna roll, and that's something really you gotta guard against. So it's a it's an

increasingly effective combination for the Sixers. And having said that, it has been over the last couple of years. Live from the United State, Tim again and he's joining his post game here on the Sixers Radio Network, and Tom. We see often when Joel embiid is not available Joanah Bolden or Bob Marianovitch and his starting unit Jonah Bolden

in the last few times. Now, Tom, we're starting to get and see him a little bit with the juggling of the lineups in the absence of Jimmy Butler, a little tweaking by Brett Brown, where we've now seen Jonah Bolden at the fourth spot, playing out there with Joel Nbad and he's come up pretty nicely tonight twenty four minutes and forty three seconds and four of seven from the floor and not thinking so much when he's shooting those threes three or four from distance right and he's

getting open looks. And that's kind of what I was just talking about with Joel, because he's out there with it beat. Not that they're in a lot of two mad actions, but with the ball swinging and you know, bang bang, and now you get it all the way over there to the opposite side, he gets a lot of really good looks. And he's proven to be a pretty efficient three point shooter. At one point in this

game he was three for three. So again, I look at all, I'm sure Jonah Bolden's gonna have a little bit of nerves going into the weekend postseason games starting next next weekend at the Center, understandably so. But the fact that he's going to be in there, and again I've mentioned this before looking at Mike, even though they're different players, Mike Scott, they're gonna be able to They're gonna get some looks from three and that can be you know, two or threes and a half can help

you separate and win a playoff game. So I think that's really exciting, and that's part of developing these players. And of course during a long season like this, you're gonna need guys at different phases to start to step in to play the four of the five. And Jonah's going through all of that. And again he's at his ups and downs, like you know, one game good, one game, two points. Tonight, real steady and helpful for the sixers.

He went four of seven with eleven points. And that's for a guy who played He played twenty five minutes. He might not play that in the postseason, but certainly real productive and good signs. Even as the year, as you heard at the very end with coach, you know, you don't think he'd play but you never know, even if it's to come in and guard a guy or take a foul. Next thing, you know, you're still out

there and you make a three. It's just to have these guys at least have a little bit of experience, and Jonah certainly more than a little. Is I think potentially beneficial going forward. In the NBA postseason tom Final one four US again, Sixers win one sixteen ninety six fifty wins back to back seasons, the first since to eighty four, eighty five, eighty five, eighty six campaigns in

their eighteenth such season, enfranchise history. Brett Brown of course, going through the rebuild all those years, these last two seasons, putting up to fifty a remarkable feat by him. Yeah, and you just said it really without even I'm not saying you didn't know. But like in the iconic history of the Sixers, only eighteen times have they won fifty games. You know, like even those great teams in the late nineties and two thousand and that with Allen Iverson, they

didn't do it. They did it that year in two thousand and two thousand and one, But it's hard to do and that's what you're looking forward the whole part of the Sixers process, if you want, the year is building up to this. You've been looking for what sustained sess and winning fifty games in back to back seasons

is a start getting to the playoffs. Last year's second round, ten playoff games, and that's what you're you're looking to build on, you know, your successes of the past, and for the Sixers, quite frankly, it's and everybody else would say this as well, it's all about the postseason. As Brett Brown just said post game, he understands that's the focus. That's that's where you earn your money in the postseason. But there's certainly something to be said about establishing, you know,

the winning mark. I've always said, if you're going to be a fifty one team, you got to be around five hundred on the road. They are, they're now twenty and twenty and then at home thirty and ten. So all good. And certainly that home court dominance has been

really a big thing within the Sixers season. And let's see, I mean here a week from tonight tomorrow, maybe postseason basketball at the center and you're getting you know, obviously a little bit of a hiccup there with the three losses in a row, back on the winning track, taking care and business in the last two games would equal

to fifty two wins they had a year ago. Yeah, and that six seven eighth seed is gonna be jumbled up with all those three teams time at the bottom fighting for that position and the only game in the association. Earlier this afternoon, Brooklyn beat Milwaukee one nineteen, made threes. Laverte had four of the best. Yeah, that's scary, Yeah it is, and they do play the seventy six is very well, So we'll see how things play out over

the final few days. Time. Great job, has always been good to speak with you, and we'll catch up with you Tuesday live from Miami for the Dwayne Wade ceremonies. Basically, good night you two. Tom. Tom mcguinnis live from the United Center. Sixers victorious for the fiftieth time this season, one sixteen ninety six to record now stands at fifty and thirty on the campaign twenty two and fifty eight

for the Chicago Bulls. Again, as we just pointed out, Brooklyn forty and forty after the victory this afternoon over the Milwaukee Bucks now forty and forty with the same record as the Orlando Magic, but the tie breaker goes to the Brooklyn Nets right now. If the season ended today, which we know it does not, it doesn't end until Wednesday. For the seventy Sixers, those two teams will match up

next weekend in the first round. Started the first round of the playoffs live from the Center, so that would be a fun matchup. But we will certainly keep our eye on the Orlando Magic, the Pistons, the Nets, and the Heat as they figure out the bottom part of the Eastern Conference standings. Seventy Sixers will certainly be a fun and tough out in the postseason, so we'll get

to that as things come. But tonight again Victorious fifty two percent from the field, thirty three from behind the three point line, taking twenty seven shout attempts from deep nine of twenty seven, JJ Reddick four of seven and Jonah Bolden combined for seven of eleven. Those two guys

really shot it well from distance. On the evening, fifteen of twenty six from the free throw line for the seventy six Ers verses twelve or fifteen, so of course, taking advantage and they always do whenever Joel ebad is in the game. Jimmy Butler as well, who was not there tonight. But they get to the free throw line, and tonight had a tough time converting them fifteen of

twenty six. Hopefully that's not an issue going forward. On the glass, they dominated the glass to seventy six ers, did fifty four to thirty eight, ten offensive rebounds, forty four on the defensive side, twenty five assists on forty six made baskets, and protecting the basketball there's always keys

to victory. Ten turnovers tonight for the Philadelphia seventy sixers, only one for Ben Simmons, the point guard in twenty six minutes and fifteen seconds, and two for Joel Embie, who also handles the rock quite a bit on the other side. We will here one more time from Tom again, this this time in a highlight form as we get the best cause of the game as the Sixers win one sixteen ninety six. This is the postgame show here

Game number eighty is in the books. The Philadelphia seventy six is hit number fifty in the win column won sixteen ninety six. Welcome back to the Sixes postgame show here on the Sixers Radio Network, as we head to the highlights now for

the Sixers win tonight. As JJ Reddick got things started, the Chicago Bulls scored six straight of unanswered of course to the Philadelphia seventy six is JJ Reddick starting things off for them with a jumper, Ben Simmons with a dunk to make it eight to four. Tobias Harris also getting in the mix, making it sixteen fourteen seventy six is as a lead first take take their first lead of the game Ben Simmons. We know about the dunking and the layoffs, but in a little unconventional way of scoring.

Here for the all star point guard Sixers with Simmons in the quarter against Felicio Jacar Sampson has Joel Jonah catches. Now he finally sees Joel. They double the beat. He throws it over the bed, I mean really rockets it down there and Simmons on the turn round it good turnaround, fade away and one for Ben Simmons. That made to score twenty one eighteen sixers at that point. Former Sixers Tim and Taylor wild Cavalreau counters with a driving layup

make it twenty one twenty. But JJ Reddick would have none of that with this bucket right here from deep Sixers by one with the ball see here Smith at one quarter, Jj and the other Reddick comes up the pre board. Art can get it from Joelle, shoot the three out top and it's good bottom all den for j. J Reddick his first three of the game. Sixers lead by four without twenty five seconds to go with the first that would be the score at the end of

one twenty four twenty Sixers. Ben Simmons starts to quarter off with a bass get in close to make it twenty six twenty three, We talked about Jonah Bolden contributing at the power forward spot, playing alongside Joel and bid Well. Here's one of the connections from the perimeter isel for Joel fakes on Galicia right hand dribble back, He's double

cross courts kip. Jonah Bolded per great bag, it's good and the Sixers of the good kickout, pragmatic play by it be that maybe thirty one twenty three Philadelphia with the advantage. Also Jonah Bolden connecting a little bit later on to make it thirty eight thirty two, we spoke about former six of Tim and Taylor Wild with Cabero, where there was another former sixer with a bigger impact, Jacar Sampson. Back out the Sampson shoots at three and

that's good. Japar Sampson looking over towards the sixers bench competent swagger, that kind of inkling up maybe or should have kept it. Jacar Sampson contributing in a lot of different ways, of variety of different ways that went from distance to make it thirty eight thirty five. He had seventeen points to lead all all scores at the break. My man Mike Scott contributing from distance as well. His only bucket of the night, knocking down a triple was

to make it forty five forty three. But going into the half we know JJ Reddick's phenomenal with a three pointer and one to make the score fifty seven forty seven. But before that, in b Simmons All Star connection six ers ball up four, here's a libbing and pred Hammerton the right hand chap up top down hard Joel a p Rock Ben Simmons pressive play best all night fifty three forty seven. A great play from those two young

guys as they again get ready for the postseason. JJ Reddick, as as I said, with a three pointer and of foul make it fifty seven forty seven. Score at the break fifty seven forty nine. Jacar Sampson leading all scores with seventeen on the first in the first two quarters, Tobias Harris getting into the mix yet again, and the start of the third quarter Marijanovitch John d and there it is with the Boby and Toby show is to Bias Harris stores the ball seventy six sixty midway through

the quarter. Well it didn't stop there, Toby, Boby, So Boban and Toby, how about this time Boban getting in the mix, shake with a move, No good, Bobo with the rebound, He's foul that he stores at Marianovitch klow towering over the helpless defenders of the Chicago Bulls basket and the foul making the free throw. Twenty point advantage at that point eighty two sixty two, sixers in front after three eighty six sixty eight. Now the game is pretty much in hand. Let's get these guys off the floor.

But Ben Simmons wanted to do something a little bit to put a stamp on this game before he exited. Joel opened momentarily, but fed will bring it across, hold up to head, dribble, goes in out policeio side stuff a bed of hammer, throw it out a two half half minbad run again, Simmons running rough shot over Chicago, full head of steam. They allow him to go down the lane. Great finish from y'all star point guard ninety

one seventy one. He finished the night fourteen points, four rebounds, four assists, six and ten from the field very efficient in twenty six minutes in fifteen seconds. JJ Reddick had a phenomenal night yet again, a great five game streak going on his last one from distance, Jowell trying to get through that trap passers out to JJ Reddick for

three of the part one. Oh fine, it's good. JJ Reddick was an incredible off ballance baseline shot it beat with the feed Reddick with twenty one his fourth train ninety three seventy three yet again, his final trade for the night for JJ Reddick to shop shoot of four Philadelphia for twenty three points, right on his average over

the last few games. He has been fantastic. And we close things out, of course with the newest seventy sixer in his first few minutes of action, and he really got some things done in his ten minutes of run. Here's Greg but Row pumped by Sampson in the foal. The Row with a nice move with the post, and that's good. So Rog gets his second field goals. Sixers are gonna go to the line, but Row could shoot for the three point play and he makes the free throw,

converting that one oh four eighty six. He finished the evening four or five from the field, ten minutes of run for the veteran big man newly signed nine points,

two rebounds, two assists for Greg Munroe. A nice performance for the seventy sixers overall, putting this one away after struggling the last few games at twenty eighteen point advantage at the end of three, never really in doubt that this game was going to be over against a team like the Chicago Bulls looking at so many different young players on their roster and seeing how they may fit

in going forward. They had so many players out due to injury or if you can basically injury for the Chicago Bulls about seven players not playing as you look at their their injury list in their inactive list, basically all of their starters, which they are, all of their starters outside of Robin Lopez, the veteran big man on the injured list, and the seventy sixers totally took advantage in their absence, winning this win Tonight one, sixteen ninety

six once again for the Chicago Bulls, Jacar Sampson and Timid Taylor, while with Cabalo the leading scorers form of seventy six ers for the Chicago Bulls twenty nine points off the bench for Jacar Sampson, eleven of seventeen one or five from deep, getting to the line seven times, knocking down six of those free ones eight rebounds again in the thirty five minutes and eighteen seconds of action Timid Taylor, while with cabal Row five of twelve from

the field, one of six from deep, fourteen points, six boards for the veteran or for the young swing man formerly of the Philadelphia seventy six or sixers back in action on Tuesday night for the ceremonies of the Wayne Way, the future Hall of Famer who will retire at the end of the season. And while Miami is still fighting for a playoff spot, they that game really means something

for them. But we know that the retirement and the ceremony that we we'll be taking place for the final home game for the Miami Heat on this season will really overshadow what thing what will happen in that game on Tuesday night, So the seventy six is hopefully can go in there and get another win, secure things in that third spot as they are now two games up

on the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference standings. As Boston is forty eight and thirty two on the season, Indiana now forty seven and thirty three after those two hit the floor last night in Indiana, Boston taking down Indiana to take the one game lead over them in the fourth spot, Philadelphia locking down home court advantage in the Eastern Conference playoffs as of last night with the loss to Indiana and now creeping their way up again,

the seventy Sixers, with two games remaining, win these next two in the Boston loss, will win one in the Boston loss, and they have three spot for all by themselves. No worry about what the Celtics will do. So we'll see how things play out, but we will certainly check back in with you on Tuesday night Live from Miami. Brian Seltzer, Tom again, its certainly and back here at

the studio. We have to thank calling them Ali engineering the game back here at the Sixers Radio network, as well as my man Pat Egan doing a great job as always as we wave to one another, as he does a great job when the audio engineering side of the out of the audio engineering side for the postgame show.

So for Tom mc ginnis and Brian Seltzer is always Patti Egan called Namoli, I'm divine given Sixers once again victorious tonight over the Chicago Bulls, winning by twenty on a road one sixteen ninety six win number fifty back to back for Brett Brown and the Philadelphia seventy six. So have a great night. We will catch up with you live from Miami on Tuesday night right here on the Sixers Radio Network. You've been listening to seventy Sixers Rewind.
