But like I think, you know that that that group that just hasn't played much basketball together, I'm always interested in helping them and in playing good, solid basketball. It was good to see Furkon come in after you know, a long time off and just simply get a run. I thought Arson was pretty good as well from our regular guys. In relation to what can we do to get better? I think doing what we've been doing, you know, is productive with our starting group, but that low minute group,
I want to, you know, have them played better basketball? Coach? When the game gets out of hand like it did. I think you guys keep focused, keep concentration. That they do a good job at that. I think. I think that a third period was a thing that I was most impressed with. You know, we held them to sixteen points. We scored twenty five. We had too many turnovers in that period, but we knew that with the lead that we had built to be able to maintain that sense
of urgency. They're really like last night when we jumped on Memphis. You know, that third period I think was a statement period for our team. Thank you nine five the Fanatic. This is the Sixers post game show. Here on the Sixers Radio Network Sixers win yet again. Ellis head back to our Lando at the Mway Center for Brett Brown. They're really like last night when we jumped on Memphis. You know that third period I think was
a statement period for our team. Thank you, Thank you, goes Sixers head coach on the post game show Brett Brown, again outside of the winning locker room, as the Philadelphia seventy Sixers are victorious yet again with a one eighteen
ninety eight win over the Orlando Magic. Second night of hey, back to back games, two straight, very familiar results with the dominant performance in each and this one a win over the host Orlando Magic again by the score of one eighteen ninety eight, Philadelphia's fifth straight win forty first victory of the season, now eleven games over five hundred with a forty one and thirty record. Welcome to the Sixers postgame show. I'm divine givens. We just heard briefly
from head coach Brett Brown. We will head back there shortly again to hear from radio voice Tom McGuinness and also later on share some of the audio highlights from
tonight's game. The Sixers once again in control throughout this contest, as they set the tone early in the first quarter, posting thirty two points to Orlando's twenty three, and never letting up and never taking their foot off the gas, whether it be by stepping up their defensive effort, converting from deep behind the arc, sharing the basketball, or simply getting big time contributions like they did tonight from the bench. This team seems to have found a formula of winning
at the right time of this basketball season. For the second consecutive night, the Sixers had the luxury of resting their starters yet again for the entire fourth quarter thanks
to the lopsided score after three quarters. Joel Embiid fantastic again minimal minutes and that's a good thing with only twenty minutes of run tonight, and was very effective, posting seventeen points on six to eleven from the field, one or four from behind the three point line, four or four from the free throws, and also nine rebounds for the All star center. JJ Reddick also very good in minimal minutes, yet again not a lot of minutes for
the starters. Very good at this stretch both last night and tonight to be able to rest in the fourth quarter. Reddick seventeen points. I mean, pardon me, seventeen minutes, twelve points, three of eight from the floor, five or five from
the free throw line. Getting to the free throw line a good sign to see from JJ Reddick, not known for putting the ball on the floor, creating for himself, but not just standing out on the perimeter trying to knock down jumpers, which that is his strong suit as we know, but getting to the free throw line converting getting easy ones four not only himself but his team.
Dario Charts ten points on three of seven shooting one of two from behind the three point line in twenty two minutes, three or four from the free throw line, adding ten rebounds. So another good night again for Dario Schartz overall, Robert Covington, another solid night for your starting small forward in twenty six minutes of action, five of twelve point the floor, three of seven from behind the
three point line for fifteen points for Robert Covington. Ben Simmons twenty seven minutes to high mark in terms of minutes for the entire team, three or four, only four attempts from the floor, all of two from the free throw line, but he seemed to have a control over this basketball game for the entire night did have four turnovers, but that's something we can pretty much overlook at just
the pace of the game and how things went. He had six points, ten assist, eleven rebounds in twenty seven minutes. Good contribution to get off the bench from Iliasova and Bellinelli eighteen and fifteen respectively for your bench unit in those guys, and just an overall overall good group effort in this victory again one eighteen ninety eight over the
Orlando Magic. Quick break, we head back to Orlando check in with Tom McGinnis to get his thoughts on again a one eighteen ninety eight victory over the Orlando Magic, fifth straight for the Philadelphia seventy six Ers forty first overall on the season with eleven games remaining. This is the postgame show on the Sixers Radio Network, ninety seven five The Fanatic. This is the Philadelphia has seventy Sixers postgame show feat. I can look about about Bronch Friez
Hards just gonna turn him. Get it off Matty Roll. The Sixers post game show right now on ninety seven five The Fanatic. Six is victorious yet again, won eighteen ninety eight over the Orlando Magic, their fifth straight win, forty first on the season. Record now stands at forty one and thirty, still sitting in the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference. Sounds very good to say about your
Philadelphia seventy six is I'm divine, givens. This is the postgame show as we head back to Orlando and the Amway Center to check in with Tom McGinnis and Tom I can get used to this where the fourth quarter we start to see the reserves and get those guys work. That just goes to show how good the Sixers start things out with their starters putting teams away very early. No, they did, and I thought they did a nice job of both driving the basketball, getting to the rim, and
then obviously coming on strong with the threes. Your son had a really good first half with thirteen points, and Bead was very effective and Ben Simmons able to get in there, get a couple of driving baskets and moving that ball around and another high assist night from him, as you mentioned, Dario solid with the rebounding. Overall great performance.
You're playing two underman teams that are underachieving and the Sixers taking care of business up thirty two nights in a row into the fourth quarter, and that's exactly what you'd hope for for a team that's getting better. Is the months and the season has progressed, taking care of business, not letting up, and just now continuing to win their what is now their fifth win in a row. Yeah, and Tom, when you look at the bench contribution that
they're getting, you said Elio Silvan. The first half solid night eighteen overall, Marco Bellanelli solid pickup as well. Brett Brown seems to be really finding his way with his rotation when it comes to as you point out during the game, the four minutes in to the first Bellinelli in, then Amir Johnson or Shawn Holmes, whoever he feels that night for Joel and Bat, Brett Brown again seems to be finding a good feel for his people as things get to, you know, get close to the playoffs and
what he wants to do with his rotation. Well, that's one of the biggest things for a coach. I mean, even if you coach at any level, you're looking at your personnel and trying to figure out how you're going to utilize them put them in the best situations to succeed. And then part of it also is keeping guys ready, like Justin Anners, some of these guys toward the Rashaw Holmes to the latter portion of you know, whether it's an eight or nine or ten person rotation, that and
play calls. That That's what keeps a coach up at night, and that is you know how you're gonna react in situations with the game on the line, and know he's done a great job. And you know the other thing is these guys come into the game, Bell and Ellie Idyosolva, They're looking for Justin Anderson, They're looking for their shots. They're aggressive, and Amir Johnson just does so many overall things defensively, rebounding, assists, contesting at the basket. You've got
a lot of parts. I mean again, we go back and been a couple of years since Brian Colangelo took over the front office and he talked about a positionally balanced roster, and I think you're getting close to that with some of the personnel that Brett Brown has at his disposal in terms of using them for his team. Tom m again is joining his life from Amway Center.
Six is victorious again. One eighteen ninety eight time, when you talk about the position list basketball, there's one guy who's six ten who doesn't seem like he should be playing point guard, but he does and he has done it so well. And of course has Ben Simmons. You saw him last year briefly with him learning the game,
being out with the injury. Then you see him this year and what he's been able to do, putting up spectacular numbers in great nights, night after night, only three or four from the field, but he contributed to six points, ten assists, eleven rebounds in twenty seven minutes. Yet it seemed like he had total control of this basketball game well without doubt. And you know they have DJ Augustine out there. I thought his own, Yeah, there's no way they had Aaron Gordon on Ben there for a while.
But you get so many different mismatches and switches that you know, all of those guys ended up garden him. And you know, the one thing about Simmons and Brett Brown touchdown it and we've all seen him so we all know this. But he's a great athlete. He's just incredible, and the strides and the fluidity and the strength of his motions, the way he gets to the basket, just
he's like coasting out there or sort of peers. When you get a guy of this athletic ability, and you mentioned the year off and again you know, personally, I know when when you I stopped playing bass college basketball after my sophomore year, and it's like those years that nineteen twenty that you really you gain strength and mature.
And Ben Simmons had basically a redshirt year in the NBA, would have only been a sophomore in college a junior at this point if he had gone the traditional route, which anymore is not the traditional route among these top players. But point being that, you know, he was still able
to lift and work out. He got this tutorial from the coach Watch the NBA traveled, got the rhythm of the season even though he wasn't actually out there competing during games, and physically developed, and you know, it's turned into really one of the best rookie seasons that the NBA's ever seen in terms of the numbers that he's racking up. And here's the thing, He's only getting better and is obviously going to improve by leaps and bounds
as he moves forward into the early part of his career. Well, it's a treat to watch him, and it's the treat to watch this basketball team right now again picking up their forty first win in fifth straight. Tom overall for this basketball team, good stuff again is always can't wait to hear from you again on Saturday back at home as the Minnesota Timberwolves come to town at the Center. Competition gets a little thicker, Yes it does, alright, Tom, have a good trip back Tom again us again joining
us live from Amway Center. This is the postgame show. Sixers win one eighteen ninety eight, now forty one and thirty on this season. Just a spectacular job by this team overall. Before we got started, before we went to Tom Againnis at the Amway Center, Brett Brown did whole court with the assembled media outside of the locker room. Victorious yet again, one eighteen ninety eight over the Orlando Magic. We did not give it, give you a chance to
hear it in its entirety. So we will check back in right now with some of the thoughts from Brett Brown postgame. But like I think you know that that group that just hasn't played much basketball together, I'm always interested in helping them and in playing good, solid basketball. It was good to see Furkon come in after you know, a long time off and just simply get a run. I thought Earson was pretty good as well. From our regular guys. In relation to what can we do to
get better? I think doing what we've been doing, you know, is productive with our starting group, but that low minute group, I want to, you know, have them played better basketball? Coach when the game gets out of hand like it did after your guys that keep focus, keep concentration, that they do a good job at that. I think. I think that a third period was a thing that I was most impressed with. You know, we held them to
sixteen points. We scored twenty five. We had too many turnovers in that period, but we knew that with the lead that we had built to be able to maintain that sense of urgency and the head coach Brett Brown live from the Amway Center post game discussing the Philadelphia seventy sixers win one eighteen ninety eight to twenty point
win tonight over the host Orlando Magic. When we come back on the other side, we get into the highlights from Tom McGuinness, just plenty of highlights tonight in this one where they ran this one out away very early, got up very early, and never let up a little bit in the first quarter where they went back to back and forth, but then the Sixers imposed their will, pulled away and never came back and allowed the Orlando Magic in it again. Sixers victorious one, eighteen ninety eight
over the Orlando Magic on the other side. Highlights from Tom Guinness's game called This is the Sixers Radio Network on Sixers postgame show right here ninety seven five The Fanatic ninety seven five The Fanatic one, eighteen ninety eight. Sixes beat the Orlando Magic in Orlando by twenty again tonight, picking up their forty first win on the season. Eleven games remaining back at it on Saturday. Stifferent competition at Tom mcguinnis pointed out, and what that is is again
stifferent competition. You have to step your game up. Five games they have won in a row and now they get back at it on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwols. But for tonight, let's get to the highlights. Everybody had a hand in this win. We talked about Ben Simmons and how he has been able to control the game with less shots, but also still being able to play defense, converting him into buckets. Simmons knocks it away. Now Ben Simmons is gonna get a chap running with a left
hand dunks. Orlando turns it over and Simmons makes them pay twelve eleven sixers at that point, telegraphing the past the Orlando magic did Ben Simmons smartly planning passing lane, steal it, get out in the open floor for a breakaway dunk twelve eleven Again, then you had Marco Belinelli
with the crossover and a step back jumper. We always talk about his outside shooting, but not so much about his handle and his creativity for not only himself with others that made his sixteen fourteen Ben Simmons rebound to Marco Belinelli to air sound Ilias Silva for dunk. Just great display of passing to make it eighteen sixteen. Justin Anderson one more player off the bench, contributing in a
lot of different ways. Here's a beat down low right back up to Anderson, three ball right perimeter and got it. Justin Anderson with the left handed trade. Good kick out of the post. There by Joel and bead sixers. Second three, Joel with his third assist, Sixers by nine, thirty to twenty one. Justin Anderson again with that three pointer at the end of one thirty two twenty three, Sixers up by nine after one, they get right back at it
where consecutive baskets and the fouls. Three straight consecutive baskets and fouls seem like joelan beat with the layup and a foul. Did mister free throw make it thirty five twenty three but air sound. Ilias Silva again fantastic in the first half. Here are a few of those points. Aliasova dribbles, layoff up good of the fouler's Iliasoba is knocked out of bounds. Tubbles down there the stanship that
was off of a missed shot. Justin Anderson, great hustle, gets the offensive rebound, passes into Iliasova, allowing him to convert the layup and then making the free throw. Forty one thirty sixers at that point. And Beat then got himself his very own and one with the dunk and the foul forty four thirty. Ben Simmons again driving down the lane dunk and he only made three shots. They were all dunks. Fifty six thirty nine, Joeling Bead showing his touch again from out behind the arc, the sides up,
the defender can't get it. Now a beat out of the yard near sight three bonus god Joanna Bade knocks it down sixty seconds ago. Had these sixers on a tear here to close out the first half. Seventy first half points, seventy to forty, seventy advantage at that point. Orlando did score two points on that final possession before the horn sounded four halftime seventy to forty nine. At the break back at it in the third quarter, Aaron Gordon did get into the mix a little bit with
a great reverse alley. You just fantastic athleticism by the young player for the Orlando Magic. But again we talked about Ben Simmons and the points that he had three or four from the floor, all three being dunks. Here is two of those points cut off by a bed. Now Joel walks out to the arc to defend him, and now Simmons steals, and here's a breakout. Ben Simmons
breaks free and a left hand jail. There's Ben Simmons with the steel showing his two way ability yet again getting the steel getting out in the open floor, converting another dunk eighty to fifty four at that time for the Sixers. Robert Covington another solid night. As we mentioned earlier, he converted for three. Right here, Covington for three for the Sixers and that's good. That's his third three fifteen points Sixers in a route for the second consecutive night.
Taking care of businesses could be a five game winning street. Fifteen points for Covington. He was three of seven from behind the arc fifty seven after that made basket ninety five sixty five at the end of three. Then, as we pointed out, the Sixers starters were able to wrest some much needed rest as this one was a route
and out of hand. But you started to get some more guys some time on the floor, specifically some of the players that have not been able to and in fur con Quorkmis this case due to injury, not being able to play. He gets into the action twenty seven percent from three for the Magic Here's Corkbox for three and that's good. Fur Cod knocked at out fourteen may threes and the Sixers, after a dry spell early here in the final frame and picked it up again. Corkmiles
back after battling a foot injury. Good to see him back on the floor taking five shot attempts, one of three from behind the three point line one of five overall those was only three points. Good overall effort by the Sixers tonight in this victory one eighteen ninety eight over the host Orlando Magic again off the bench for the Sixers. Fifteen for Marco Belinelli in twenty three minutes to play five or ten from the floor. It seems like that's his line of every single night, giving you
good production off the bench. Aarsund Iliosilva set the tone early for his solid play seven of eleven overall, three or four from behind the yard, eighteen points, three rebounds in good play from earsign Iliosilva. TJ McConnell four points, six assists, five rebounds in twenty one minutes in twenty eight seconds. Rashaun Holmes active yet again in his twelve minutes of play three or five from the floor for
seven points and five rebounds as well. Amir Johnson just coming in playing in solid overall kind of whole hum kind of defense and the whole hums set the screen, but very effective when it's being done by the veteran big man. Again, solid bench production overall for the seventy
Sixes tonight in their one eighteen ninety eight victory. Twenty six assists for the Orlando Magic, thirty for the Sixes on forty two made baskets a fifty six to forty advantage on the glass for the Sixers, So solid contribution overall as a unit collectively doing what they needed to do to help get this one out of the way
early and getting it done. Thirty two fast breakpoints for the Sixers to the Magics ten, twelve second chance points to the Magics five, So the Sixers overall just a solid, solid contribution from everyone on the floor, picking up their forty first victory on the season. At forty one and thirty, the Magic falls to twenty one and fifty one. The Sixers currently are one game ahead of the Washington Wizards,
now in the fourth spot. The Wizards sit in the sixth place Indiana, a half game behind the Philadelphia seventy Sixers, and the Sixers are now one game behind the third place Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. Standings eleven games to go. Will continue to monitor each and every game and not only watch what the seventy sixers do, but to see what the others are doing around them in
the Eastern Conference. Because things are winding down. April eleven will be here soon and we'll know where the seventy Sixers will be in this playoff standing four. Tyler Zuli here back at the studio engineering the call Alienates with the great audio cuts. Tom McGinnis back in Orlando again, Sixers win one eighteen ninety eight over the Orlando Magic.
If you're listening to us here on ninety seven five the Fanatic, it's you and I until midnight, taking your reaction to this win six one sixty three, two zero nine, seventy five and four hour affiliates. We will check back with you guys on Saturday as the Sixers take the floor yet again, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves special start time six o'clock Saturday evening here on the Sixers Radio Network.
So for Tyler Alan, Tom McGinnis, I'm Devine Givens. This has been the Sixes postgame show on the Sixers Radio Network. Following the Sixers win, Tom McGinnis had a chance to catch up with one of the players afterwards. So convincing victory for the Sexers. And I think we're gonna be joining courtside by Robert Covington who is going to join us. And the Coup had fifteen points in the game. Nice game, Robert, you guys for the second straight game. Take care of
business at first to thirty six minutes. Was really great for you guys here tonight. Yeah, it was. It was a good start. You know, we was moving the ball really well, and we had, you know, a lot of a lot of blind layups. You know, we used to get inside out first, you know, but guys, you know, we really moved the ball and never really helped us, you know, we kind of solidified ourselves, you know, and the beginning of the game why it wanted to come out.
We got stops, we got out in transition, easy buckets and that kind of like feel us from the very beginning you did get easy baskets. I thought Simmons were just cruising into the goal and you had a lot of three point and he had fifteen bridge. Yeah, that as you said, when you're scoring at both ends and defending, that's a pretty good combo. Yeah, we must definitely did. We had a lot of transitioning that Japan was doing amazing job find us the transition. Joe was done amazing
job passing out of the the post. You know, he's seeing how they was guarding and he just made it easy on himself. So that's how, you know, we gotta be able to, you know, shout these type of games because we know that teams are going to double guys. You know, teams are going to sit that here and pressures Ben. You know, gonna sag off so he he sees a lot on the floor and he doesn't make dropping guys just you know, stepped up, knocked down the big shots
ahead and numerous of guys hasn't double digits. You know, Bench came in and gave us parts throughout the game, and that's what we what allowed us to, you know, get that big League Last Thought Cup. But you've been on the other end of some of these scores. What's it feel like now to be the winning team of these big margins? Um? You just got to sit up here and you gotta finish our game strongs Um, you know,
Orlandos and the want of the Rocket situations. But you know, unfortunate, you know, they still have a lot of good players over there, and you know they can get that thing. They can turn that thing around at any point, you know. But sometimes you know, it just it just you know the way teams that have you know, been playing the
way we've been playing. Of course, you know it takes time, and you know you gotta just build and continue to sit up here and really, you know it really go out and work and that's what the main thing gets. You just gotta go out and work each and every day you step on that course. So you can't take no days off. You can't take nothing granted, because you know, at the end of the day, you never know how
you know where you can end up. They could be on this, on that team, you could be on that, like so many different things could happen all of a sudden. It just you got to make sure that you're ready for the moment. Well you take tomorrow off though, right, come on, you just playing it back to back? Oh, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely,
thank you, Robert, appreciate, congratulations, thank you. Nice win for the Sixers, a twenty point victory here as the Sixers defeat the Orlando Magic for the third time this year. We'll wrap things up with a break in that we'll be back right after this on the Sixers Radio Network.
