This is seventy Sixers. Rewind time now to listen back to postgame reaction from the team's most recent game. He's the Philadelphia seventy Sixers postgame Show, a Sixers win. I'm Jimmy Butler for the game. Witty triple? Are you Kenny Bay The Sixers postgame Show right now? On nineteen seven five, the fanatic A Little Revenge joined the mind for the

Philadelphia seventy Sixers. After taking an l to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the season, they take care of them in their home at Quick and Loans Arena this afternoon, one twenty eight, one oh five. Hello all, I'm divine, give us. This is the sixeres postgame show and the

Sixers Radio Network. Six has improved to twenty and eleven now on the season after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers now seven and twenty three, ending a two game losing streak four, the seventy Sixers losing to the Nets and the Pacers back to back at home. Six is on the front end of a back to back. Here as a take on his San Antonio Spurs tomorrow evening in San Antonio and tonight it was really a combination of two guys, specifically with Ben Simmons and Joel and Bat just very

dominant from the start. Ben Simmons off to an aggressive up style of play, nine to fifteen overall from the floor, with twenty two points for Ben Simmons, Joel and b twenty four points, nine rebounds in twenty eight minutes and forty one seconds. Ten of sixteen from the floor for the Big Fella. And now let's head back to Quick and Loans Arena outside of the visitors locker room, the winning locker room with head coach Brett Brown see the game and that way after the last two games before

you guys set out in the road. I mean it is it is good to get a win. I will conceive that it's good to get back on the winning side. I think we had a twentieth win on January the fifteenth last year, and to you know, have that a month earlier. Also, I think it's just you know, confirmation that we're heading in the direction that we need to and and had hope too. How did Jimmy Butler look out there to you? I thought he looked good. He had he had a big three in the corner that.

I thought it was a sort of a funny stage of the game. And I thought in general, just his physicality, him being on the court. You know, we such a piece, such a large personality. Um, there's a sort of spiritual side outside of just his physical presence, and he's he's his talents, the sort of a spirit that he brings to our group. That is hard too. Womb It's hard

to measure him replaced. With the way the team rebounded for the most part in this game, I was I mean, we got hammered by Tristan the last time that we played. In general, I thought we were pretty good tonight. It probably our job was probably made easier with the fact that he was not here. But in general, I think the second period and our fourth period defensively were sort of the best periods of the game. I missed it,

so talk about them into performer. Just the fact that you're going to look down at a stat sheet and see fourteen assistant zero turnovers, and I think that there's more to it than that. I thought he was good offensively. I thought he was an attack mode. Really, he probably could have had six more points, you know, in some layup city missed, but in general, I thought he was excellent.

He was our bell ringer tonight. And as I have said to the Philadelphia media, I'll say to the Cleveland media, out of any of the people on our team, you know, he's the one that maybe has had to make the greatest sacrifice. You know, Joel jj and Jimmy Butler, those three guys normally get the lion's share of the touches and the shots, and he's going to be the point guard and connecting all those dots comes with a tremendous responsibility, and I think that he's growing into that, and I

think he's growing into a prideful defensive player. He can be anything he wants to be defensively. You know. That was Sixers head coach Brett Brown outside of the visiting locker room after his Philadelphia seventy sixers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers one twenty eight, one oh five, and nice victory on the road for the seventy Sixers. As a take

advantage to take care of business on the road. I'd had a tough time on the road and specifically over the last two tough time at home, but a nice bounce back over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the front end of a back to back heading to San Antonio tomorrow. Some nice rest for your star players at the end of the game, knowing that you do have a contest tomorrow night eight thirty in San Antonio. Sixers win one

twenty eight one oh five Quick Break. We come right back and we reconnect with the voice of the Philadelphia seventy Sixers time and gain his live from Quick and Loans Arena. This is the Sixes postgame show, Divine givens right here on Sixeres Radio Network ninety seven five The Fanatic Sixers Basketball ninety seven five. The Fanatic Sixers pick up a win this afternoon, one twenty eight, one oh

five live from Loans Arena. Hello, I'm Divine giving Sixers Radio Network the postgame show right here on the Sixers Radio Network led by again Joe Ellenbiid and Ben Simmons with some really big games this afternoon on the road and nine to fifteen from the floor from Ben Simmons for twenty two points picking up his career fifteenth triple double of his young career in the second season with the Philadelphia seventy six Ers. Twenty two points, fourteen assists

and eleven rebounds. But the stat that really stands out to me when I look at that stat line for Ben Simmons zero turnovers in thirty one minutes and fifty eight seconds for the young point guards. Something that we talk about quite a bit, a fast style pace of game where turnovers are easily to come by, especially with the swarming type of defense that these teams have, and Ben Simmons was very protective of the basketball this afternoon.

The team with only twelve turnovers on the afternoon eleven part me. Eleven turnovers on the afternoon altogether, so a good showing, A really good showing for Ben Simmons tonight. Aggressive from the start, something we like to speak about early on once he sets the tone that way, Ben Simmons with the aggressive style of player, attacking the basket, getting to the rim, finishing at the rim, also making the layups that opens things up for his teammates as well.

In the first half apart part of me. In the first quarter, Ben Simmons eleven points, three assists, and three bounds from eight from the field in ten minutes and again no turnovers on the afternoon for the young point guard, So a nice way to get things going. In the first quarter as well, Joel Ebid chipped in with ten himself, three or four from the floor, ten points for rebounds for the big fellow, two turnovers for Joel Embiid as

the Cleveland Cavaliers defense swarmed a little bit. They did win that first quarter thirty six to twenty nine, but the way things went for those two young star players again, it just really set the tone for the seventy six is as they forged their comeback later on in the game. Jimmy Butler and his return from the groin strain that he suffered a few games back. Nice showing for Jimmy Butler.

Nineteen points on six of ten, shooting very efficient, getting to the free throw line five times, connecting four of the five and twenty five minutes of play. So taking some of those those cycles in moderation for Jimmy Butler as they try to get him out there. Don't force too much, don't ask him to do too many things.

But once again very good overall. Nineteen points for Jimmy Butler, fourteen for JJ Reddick, five of eleven from the floor, two or five from behind the three point line, also two or three from the free throw line with four assists on the afternoon for the veteran sharp shooter off the bench, Landry Shammon really got things going from behind the three point line four or five overall from the field six of seven and fifteen minutes and eleven seconds.

Quite a bit of a streak where Landry Shammon was not hitting his shots consistently, but this afternoon really getting it going they needed him, and when they needed him out there for those sixteen points, he got it done

in fifteen minutes and eleven seconds. So a nice showing by Landry Shammont for the Philadelphia seventy six is TJ McConnell off the bench for twenty four minutes and twenty seconds, and that's been pretty much what we've been seeing from TJ McConnell a twenty plus minute night today this afternoon eight points, five assists for the backup point guard, so

a solid showing from him. Mike Muscala twenty four points, part me eight points and twenty four minutes, four of seven from the floor, oh one from behind the three point line, so he got his work done at inside, which is a good thing. Good sign for the sixers. Going for where you can count on them from a perimeter, but you can also count on them in the paint.

Fifty six percent from the field overall for the seventy six Ers, fifty one of ninety one from the floor for the Sixers twenty seven three pointers they got up this afternoon forty point seven percent because they knocked down eleven of those twenty free throw attempts. Fifteen to twenty from the free throw line forty eight to thirty three, the Sixers dominating on the glass once again forty eight

thirty three in favor of Philadelphia this afternoon. Turnovers once again at eleven for the Sixers, creating fifteen points for Cleveland, twelve for the Cleveland Cavaliers, resulting in twenty points for the seventy Sixers. Sixes buys up as much by twenty three, Cleveland up by ten. At one point, you're saying, oh, here we go again. Cleveland gets up back into the game hitting their shots. The Sixes go on a drought and the Cleveland Cavaliers just find a way to run

away with things. But the Sixers in the second half turn things around, picking up a nice win on the road. One twenty eight one O five at Quicker Loans Arena over the Cleveland Cavaliers On the other side, we will get back into some of tom Aguinnis, but this time in the highlight form as the Sixes again victorious now twenty and eleven on this season. This is the Sixers postgame show right here live on the Sixers Radio Network

After the Sixers win on the road one twenty eight one oh five in Cleveland, picking up there, twentyth win on the season, eleven losses now on this campaign, but a nice win again on the front end of a back to back in San Antonio tomorrow. But let's get to some of the highlights called by time again. As Ben Simmons starts things off again aggressively hitting Joel and Bid for a tough layup to make it for the two.

But then he gets himself going by going to the basket, finishing at the room for the hoop and a foul. Here's Simmons on a drive between two defenders right and Scoop Good and a foul. Ben Simmons, through a force of will, split through two defenders and Burkes will be called for the foul. Six is up nine to six at that point, Ben Simmons continues to push to pace

for a layup to make it fourteen nine. Should have been a little more if you look back at the game, if you remember a couple of opportunities for Ben Simmons to make some layups at the room, unfortunately coming up short. Still overall good game. Michael Mouscalet as well JJ Reddick getting involved in the action, driving to the basket for a layup to make it twenty four twenty two. But Jordan Clarkson, as the Cleveland Cavaliers made their run, continues

his hot play against the seventy sixers. Clarkson with it pulld up three in the year good and the Cavalier's lead thirty three twenty eight. It beat with his second turnover and thought he could bully Channing Fry. Fry was stood to hit and if bad dropped the ball. Nice played by Jordan Clarkson to get that three pointer, basically a two for one action after that turnover by Joel and Bead, making it thirty three twenty eight. Cleveland up

at that point thirty six twenty eight. At the end of one t J McConnell gets a jumper to start off the second quarter. To make it forty two thirty four after a few baskets in there, mixed in Jimmy Butler again returning from the groin strain injury, getting involved early on, and now there's sixers to Simmons. Simmons into the bank, doubled kicks it out, Jimmy Butler right side three ball bottom got it. Jimmy Butler again knocketting down from the perimeter. Forty nine forty eight sixes up one

six is going a little bit of a spurt. Ben Simmons getting aggressive, more aggressive, going to the basket, this time a strong dunk at the room that keeps it bocks into the defender and duncon SEXI could not hold them all and at times. Ben Simmons is dominating this afternoon's game. Now thirteen points, six ers by three. See I'm not the only one noticing it. Tom McGinnis as well and is recognizing Ben Simmons dominating the game in

the first half. Michael Muscalo defensively at the end of the quarter with a nice block leading to a Landry Shammon dunk at the end of two to make it sixty five fifty eight sixes in front, heading into the locker room. Joellenbe continues his strong play at the start of this third quarter with the dunk from JJ Reddick to make it seventy to sixty four. Jimmy Butler also strong after Ben Simmons passed, and now Reddick forces Colo

Sexon into eternal over. Here's Jimmy down low and Butler gets a Jam Simmons with a great feed McConnell off the bench, Brown off the bench, pointed at Ben Simmons. It gets his tenth assists and Butler gets a two hands stuff. Certainly the Ben Simmons game here again hitting Jimmy Butler with a full court passed to finish at the room for a nice dunk. Sixes up seventy two sixty four. Jimmy Butler again with the layup on the break to make it seventy six seventy seven sixty six.

Six is still in front. Ben Simmons strong at the room. It's become a theme on the afternoon. Finishing at the room eighty one sixty nine. Wilson Chandler a nice contribution today for the sixes in the starting line, but with eleven points and seven rebounds. Here are three of Wilson Chandler's points. Chandler catches shoots three ball in and out and then in literally and Wilson Chandler has a three. Wilson Chandler two of six from behind the three point line.

Those three right there made it eighty nine eighty five. That was your score at the end of three sixes again still in front. TJ McConnell starts things off in the fourth quarter as the seventy six is really start to separate themselves from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Here to Joel and b TJ. Withard domin a. TJ lops at the Joel and beat catches it and scores it. Time out Cleveland at the Sixers start off the fourth quarter on a tear and rebuild a ten point lead. They've scored

six in a row. Cavaliers take time. It did not stop there after that one ninety five eighty five. But again it did not stop because seventy six has kept it going. JJ Reddick with a three pointer coming around a curl like he always does, one of the favorites to watch JJ Reddick work, makes one hundred to eighty five.

He did not stop himself once again. A few possessions later with another three off of a dribble handoff with Joel Embi to make it one oh three ninety and Landry Shammont doing his best JJ Reddick impersonation with back to back went out, back to back three points but getting it going in the fourth quarter to make it one oh eight ninety two and another one from Ben Simmons from behind the line. Shammon catches shoots another three.

Landry Shammont with one of his best games in his career, he spaced six field goals sixteen points, four or four front beyond the arc, ending up four or five from behind the arc, with six seven from the field overall in fifteen minutes and eleven seconds, and the seventy Sixers come away victorious once again on the road at quicken Loans Arena one twenty eight one oh five, with Ben Simmons's twenty two points, fourteen assists and eleven rebounds, once

again his fifteen triple double of his career, the Sixers topping one hundred points for the twentieth time in a row, with them getting over the century mark. So they continue to score the basketball. That's one thing that we've noticed. They can flat out put points on the board. And that's what you expect with the likes of Jimmy Butler,

Ben Simmons, Joel Embide and JJ Reddick. So they continue to do that, putting those nice points up on the board, protecting a basketball once again this afternoon with eleven turnovers which is key for only fifteen points for the Cleveland Cavaliers, dominating on the glass once again forty eight to thirty three. And one thing that we overlooked, as we always like to talk about it when we continue to say every single time, sharing the basketball, and that's what the Sixers

did at night. Of course, eleven party, fourteen assists for Ben Simmons, five for TJ McConnell, but the others also spread the basketball around with a total of thirty two assists off of fifty one fifty one a baskets off of thirty two assists. So a nice sharing day for the young guys out there in Cleveland for the victory

again one twenty eight, one oh five. So for everybody here on the Sixers radio network, Tim mcguinnis and Brian Seltzer and Cleveland Carl Nimoli engineering the game, and of course Brian McLachlin with the audio clips there forrest at the end of the game as well. These Sixers will not come back to Cleveland. They'll beat in March at the Center and the season series one game apiece final Tonight, one twenty eight, one oh five. The Sixers pulled away after three, they led by four, and they have a big fourth quarter to win by twenty three points. Shippers to Yetti Austin looking, I presumed for Matthew Dellabadova and he does the exchange a brief bug twisted Thompson. No doubt, la, buddies, here's Landry Shammon

going to join us courtside. Landry, thank you. I'm up here center the court. Jimmy Butler right there, you shot lights out. Congratulations. Nice victory for you guys here tonight. Oh wait, you're gonna give that jury? Yeah, I don't know it's right. I don't know where she's at right there, See the guy the yellow. That's cool. That is so cool. So there is a fan with a soccer fans. Yeah, oh is that what? It was? Great? Yeah, that's great. A fan with a sign Landry, can I have your dury?

Which is a pretty bold ask as bold it is, and yeah, and he's bold. I guess right. That's great. It's so fun. Hey, you shot the ball well and you guys had a great fourth quarter. Nice win here in Cleveland. Yeah, for sure. Um, you know, we started out pretty pretty sloppy, especially on the defense event. Really, you know, I personally definitely wasn't happy with that. Uh, coach definitely, I wasn't happy with that. I was the

whole message at halftime. So it's easy when you can kind of focus on that end and then the rest come. So we're happy with the one. You've been around him now, you know, through a couple months of the summer, three or four months of the season up. Speaking of Ben Simmons, but you know his number is another triple double. But you've seen a lot of basketball. When he starts the

way he starts, he's dominating the game, isn't he. Yeah, when he's aggressive from the get go and scoring the ball, everybody knows he's a you know, a great passer and can change the game that way. But when he's when he's a downhill, they can score first, especially early in the game. It sets the tone. It makes it easy for the rest of us. So he really helped us tonight.

So you guys have had a great year. You've won twenty games, but still you lost two in a row and you come back and you get a convincing win here. It has to make you feel good going forward. Yeah, there's still so much room to improve, so much more we can do better consistently. So, I mean, there's still a ton of room for growth, and this one definitely feels good. You're back in the win column. Hopefully we can keep it going, all right, Thank you, Landy? Congratulations,

Ye man, no problem. Landry Shammut of the Sixers sixteen points, four threes matches his career high Sixers win by twenty three Final one twenty eight one oh five. Back with postgame coverage on the Sixers radio network. You've been listening to seventy Sixers rewind. Be sure not to miss new episodes the day after each game this season all year long.
