This is seventy Sixers. Rewind time now to listen back to postgame reaction from the team's most recent game. He's the Philadelphia seventy Sixers postgame Show. It be swats it on the glass and seventh flu Damn he rows and Dad over to JJ. Three balls, good running crops. The Sixers postgame Show right now on ninety seven five The Fanatic seventy Sixers trumps the Washington Wizards one twenty three to ninety eight. Brian Seltzer with you Dan here at

the center. Let's joined in progress. Brett Brown the defensively Ben was I'll a bell ring it tonight, And for me, he was that because I thought he was his on ball defense, his off ball defense, his length, playing behind plays in those eyes that where we were speaking about beforehand, you know, the back of a pick and roll stuff. I thought he was excellent. So that's what it is. It's it's a bonding of defensive brothers. The head band

was just a matter. You felt a little more confidence, and I arrested with Joel advantage, you know, and like when you get into that situation, because we've all remembered being up a lot and all of a sudden you know, you blink and we've had to bring people back in and so like we're all geniuses when you know you're looking at the school board, look you know why. I get it. I feel the same way too. I do.

But I've also been sitting on that chair where I've seen leads evaporate, and I felt that that I felt like we were in a good place. I thought that group that came in on the bench was you could just feel that they they were had a rhythm that that I didn't think they were going to let a lead slip. I got most nervous when you look down

at you we have so many injuries. You really have kind of six people that I had to spin around and incrementally use my timeouts in my mind, like every three minutes, just so I could, you know, keep them fresh and have group on the floor but resting guys during the time frame that I did. I love being able to do that. What happened with I know it wasn't It was just a knee on a thigh, which is a good thing. It was no you know, knee

on knee. It was no ham string. It was just a normal knee to a thigh seventy Sixers head coach Brett Brown, and some thoughts following tonight's win one twenty three ninety eight over the Washington Wizards. As Tom McGinnis said during the broadcast, first time since March of two thousand and eight that the seventy six Ers have won consecutive games by at least twenty five points. Tonight, the

margin was an even twenty five on a Wednesday. The win over the Knicks came by twenty six flat out domination by the seventy Sixers, and for a team that really had to fight and earn its success the first five weeks of the season, these last two games it has been a good, welcomed look. The seventy Sixers were able to get off to a terrific start with Joel and be leaving the way as the Sixers commanded a rebounding advantage early on. They dominated the Wizards in the

paint on both ends of the court. Washington without Dwight Howard, a three time Defensive Player of the Year in a big body veteran, and the Sixers went on the attack. We may have, if I am not mistaken, we may have Joel and beat up at the podium. I'm gonna try and listen to my ear and see if we have that perhaps in a moment at this point we do not. But Joel was so huge and getting the Sixers off to a good start in tonight's game. They only needed did the Sixers twenty two minutes from the

big man. He finished with sixteen points, fifteen rebounds, and he had his league leading twenty second double double of the year three minutes in to tonight's second quarter. Pretty good stuff. Rounding out the rest of the balance box sheet for the Sixers fourteen points from JJ Reddick thirteen and ten to go along with thirteen points, ten assists and eight rebounds from Ben sim eleven four Jimmy Butler,

twelve for Landry Shammon and Mike Muscala. T J McConnell awesome off the bench with fifteen, and fur Con Corkmas finished with thirteen seventy. Six Ers now have sixteen wins on the season against eight losses. Sixteen wins second most in the NBA behind the nineteen win Toronto Raptors. The Wizards with the loss are eight and fourteen on the season. We'll step aside real quick come back with Tom McGinnis. That's coming up. It's the postgame show on the Sixers

Rader Network ninety seven five. The Fanatic Club seventy six is the official season ticket waiting list of the Philadelphia seventy six Ers. Seventy Sixers a roll past the Washington Wizards by the final of one twenty three to ninety eight well rounded box sheet, eight different players

in double figures. No seventy six Ers starter played more than twenty five and a half minutes in tonight game, Brett Brown calling them all off with about four minutes ago in a third quarter in which the Sixers at that point led by twenty eight points. They went on

to lead by as many as thirty five. And what we've seen from the Sixers is a team playing at home the last two times out against the Knicks Wednesday and tonight against the Washington Wizards, against teams that were arguably inferior in talents and perhaps competing with not the quite the same set of purpose the seventy Sixers are right now, Sixers came out and flat out bulldozed them, and they had a pair of twenty five plus point wins to show for it. Tom mcguinnis had the call

tonight's game. I mean, I thought, more so than Wednesday's game time, this one was you could tell early on very much in the Sixers wheelhouse. Brian, I'm about to tear into something you just said. Go on, seriously, the different sense of purpose. This is in April tenth, this is November thirtieth, Washington, different sense of purpose. The season still you know what I mean a quarter of the way through. But you're right, that's how they played. That

is I mean, come on, that's unbelievable. And like I said, something might have to give. I didn't want to make this about the Wizards, but that they did not play with any urgency at all. They did not compete at a level that they are capable of competing. That for the Sixers, you know, they had a lot, like you say, they dominated the rebound, but they didn't finish a lot

of those rebounds. So my point with the Sixers is they could have played a lot better and they dominated the game, and that to me, that's a good thing in the locker room. Like you know, as a coaching staff and as players, they know that this was an easy game, but that they had so much more to give, and then they could have played a lot better. In

other words, Joel missed some free throws. They you know, like I said, they missed a lot of Wilson Chandler didn't have a particularly good game, and yet they dominated the game. And then you know, Brett Brown told us ten days ago or so that they were possibly looking at a game to try to sit Joel. But if he only has to play twenty two or I don't know what he played against the Knicks, but it definitely wasn't thirty eight minutes, and he obviously doesn't want to

sit out. I think he just bought yourself some time with these last two games, and certainly with the time around the games where he gets treatment. For the most part, you know, you're working through this homestand and again I think it's going to be a little more difficult against Memphis on Sunday, but you know, it's a rare thing to be able to kind of relax a little bit. And we talked about the rhythm of a season and to be able to come home and have two easy

games like this some practice time. You get ready over the weekend and take on Memphis and try to finish out this homestand before going out for two big road games next week. Seventy six Ers over the Washington Wizards won twenty three to ninety eight. Well, it's been really nice seeing Tom these last two games, and the Sixers have had an opportunity to not only build up leads, but get into a really nice rhythm where it seems like no one, despite the individual talent on this team,

trying to impose or interject himself. There's just been a great flow opportunities coming to individual players and they've made the most of them. No good point because the Sixers have obviously given up big leads in the past, so now they're protecting them. And what you're saying too with the second unit, they're trying to implement the same style. We watched some of the same actions with the Mascala and Shammont that Joel and JJ Reddick employee, and Shammont

played well. I thought Mascala missed a lot of shots early but played well. TJ brought the fight, I mean TJ and the gut to the game was really good, playing with a lot of energy and played well. I mean, certainly had a couple of moments there were set the Ronsky maybe and certainly John wall too got the best. But it sounds like we may have been beat at the podium at the press cap. Let's hear the big ball. It gives me a lot of us uh and uh, you know, and I don't have to take a game

off iteats minutes restrictions right, Uh, yeah, for sure. I hate made restrictions impressive. I mean, back to back games, it's been like that when you guys in the fourth world. It's good. We picked up our intensity defensively, I think we've been much better at that on that and and then offensive we'll just be moving the ball, uh and then it's walking pretty well. It wasn't like to see your father get that shout out, and then that's the animulations. Brother,

it's great. You know, like I said, Philly Philly fans, that's so passionate, and I show a lot of love. And you know, every time my mom and my dad is at the game, they always show them a lot of love. So I really appreciated that. You know, we tired today from the army. That's a big accomplishment. And then yesterday was was his birthday. So I really appreciate it.

The love you go, all right, some great insights from Joel Embiid after tonight's win one twenty three ninety eight of the Wizard's sixteen points fifteen boards for Joel his NBA best twenty second double double. And that was a cool sidebar story time from tonight's game. They say it's a family right, and he literally had his family here. Think about that. To end a long career in the military and to be seated courtside where your stunt, your son is a major sports celebrity in a sports market

like Philadelphia, that that's pretty nice. I spoke to him prior to the game. He's a very nice man. I met him last year in London when the Sixers. We were over there and no Joel play. Well, that's the exact same point I was just making as he started his press conference in his comments at least the ones that we were able to air about not having to sit out a game, and then the reporter talked about

minutes restrictions. Was certainly was part of his first year or two in the NBA, and tonight his minutes restricted because the Sixers blew out the Washington Wizards, and that's

a good thing. Like I said, my overall point is, there's certainly some some things to work on, but when you're winning the by these margins and you're able to, you know, grow together and develop, as Prett Brown is seeking for his team to improve and get better and obviously get more assimilated with Jimmy Butler or vice versa. All good and a big game against Memphis. They let one get away a little bit down there. Not too long ago. I believe it was two or three years ago.

Mike Conley and the Grizzlies came from twenty some odd down to beat the Sixers here. So they have some young talent. They're obviously struggling just a bit right now with three straight losses. Speaking of Memphis, but another great test as the Sixers look to improve on what is the league's best home court advantage. Someone ironic timing that the last time the Sixers in Memphis played back on the tenth of November, it was just days before Jimmy

Butler alive. The Sixers only had nine players available that night, and here the team is now with the record of seven and two with Butler and the fold. Pretty impressive and encouraging stuff. Absolutely Tom talked to you on Sunday. Good have a good weekend. Seventy Sixers beat the Washington Wizards convincingly one twenty three ninety eight. Will hear some highlight calls coming up in just a moment and maybe just perhaps some more from the players involved in tonight's game.

Sixers looking to build off of Wednesday's dominant performance against the New York Knicks, and early on there were indications and that could be something. The Sixers were in line four it tonight. Joel Embiid was off to a very strong start, as with the

rest of his Sixers. He was doing a little work inside and also out Simmons a crossbid court between his legs to juelle three ball, buy a beach shot near, got it smooth plant. The two stars combine and Scott Brooks Hall's time out for the whiz that capped off a stretch of eight in a row from joellenbad and the Sixers led thirteen to seven. Ben Simmons, his running mate, added the momentum. They go to Morris driving on Mscotta, pull up fifteen footer, rimming around and out no good.

Simmons and t J McConnell secure the rebound. Here's Jimmy Butler down't on, want to catch and a score on Austin Rivers and you know what, Jimmy Butler did too. That made it twenty five to fourteen and favored the Sixers. Delayed thirty one to nineteen after twelve minutes to play. The Sixers with the Wizard's absent Dwight Howard in tonight's game, and having a somewhat smaller, youngish front court, they went

on the attack. They scored with will inside and rebounded ferociously, and as a result they were up twelve, holding the Wizards to nineteen in the first twelve minutes of play. In the second quarter, more good things in the seventy Sixers, this time at Ben Simmons missed by Beale. I'll let Simmons. Wizards back with four defenders. Ben guarded by Green, takes him off the bounce, fakes it one way, comes back with a right hand jump hook up and good. He

did it all by himself. Ben Simmons fakes on Jeff Green comes back and scores it another Wizard's time. Half fifty two to thirty nine, all Sixers butts. They would continue adding to their cushion as the first half went on Shamut to the corner for con three ball by cork Boss is good. Jeff Green on a close up, but cork Boss has got it going. Three ball by cork Moss, six three by the Sixers. Lead is twenty two,

a fifty to two run. Sixers would go into the locker room with a sixty eight forty six lead, the fourth time this season the Sixers scored at least sixty eight points and a half of the third quarter of the Sixers. Yeah, their starters stayed out there for about let's say seven or eight minutes. TJ McConnell got some run and now here's t J McConnell hops stops. Shoot, that's cars bacconnell from fourteen. You better card him. Yeah, but the Wizards day did not. TJ had a great

game for the Sixers Tonight. Sixers were up ninety eight to seventy after three quarters. And it was TJ and some of the other backups and second stringers, you know, backups, that's not an appropriate term. They deserve something better than that. The reserves, the second stringers. They were able to see this one through to a dominant finish, built up the Biscana Biscona for three and that's good. Now in the

modern NBA, I guess that's okay. But back in the day that would be called piling U and the Sixers. They would walk their way to the finish with a one twenty three ninety eight win, just totally in control against the Wizards down the stretch, all around complete game once again from the Sixers. Encouraging to see at this

stage of the season. The Sixers have passed the quarter point of the new season and now getting into the month of December starting tomorrow, just the type of effort you want to see from a team looking to build and get to a higher point in the Eastern Conference race. And the Sixers now with sixteen wins, second most in the East behind the Toronto Raptors. Some final notes from the final stat sheet. Sixers shot just under forty four percent from the field. They were twelve or thirty eight

from outside the arc. The Wizards shot forty percent overall, just eight of twenty eight from three point territory the six or twenty five and thirty three from the stripe. They outrebounded the Wizards by sixteen. They were plus nine on the offensive glass, kept the turnovers, down just twelve of the seventy sixers, while they scored twenty points off of sixteen turnovers committed by the Wizards. Eight different players in double figures for the seventy six ers. Two delivered

double doubles. Joel Embiid with sixteen points and fifteen rebounds, not a single turnover, and a plus thirty rating for Joel in twenty two minutes. That is the twenty second double double of the year. For number twenty one Ben Simmons,

it's double double number thirteen for him. He had thirteen points and ten assists to go with eight rebounds, and Simmons five of five from the field and three for three from the free throw line, a perfect night shooting for the raining rookie of the year sixteen bigger parton fourteen points for JJ Reddick, He was five to twelve overall, eleven for Jimmy Butler. Butler also with seven rebounds, four assistant four steals. He was plus nineteen for the Sixers.

T J. McConnell with fifteen points, six to ten shooting thirteen for fur Con Cork Mose and a dozen apiece for Landry Shammitt and Mike Muscal the Sixers with fifty four points in the paint and a fourteen to six advantage on second chance points. They led by as many as thirty five in a game tonight dead featured just one lead change in one tie washed and jumped out

to a four nothing lead. The Sixers changed that quickly with an eight nothing run and route to their third straight victory and another one here at home, number twelve overall at the Center once again. The Sixers record now stands at sixteen and eighth. The Washington Wizards fall to eight and fourteen. Next up for the seventy Sixers the finale of a so far successful three game homestand that'll be Sunday at six o'clock against the Memphis Grizzlies. Sixers

looking to split the season series. That game starts at six o'clock, so we'll have pregame coverage underway on some of our Sixers rad network affiliates at five fifty Divine Gibbons in the post. Coming up next on the flagship of the seventy six Ers, ninety seventy five to the Fanatic. Want to thank Pat Egan and Tyler Zulie back of the studio Marti Dickerson here and after the radio voice in the seventy six Ers, Tom McGinnis Brian Seltzer saying

so long for now one final time. The final score was the seventy Sixers one twenty three the Washington Wizards ninety eight. Have a great rest here Friday night from all of us here at the Sixers Radio Network. Following the Sixers win, Tom McGinnis had a chance to catch up with one of the players afterwards. We're joining courts Eye buy Perkott, corkmas Percott, thank you, congratulations And at a point in the in the late third, early four,

I was saying you were dominating the game. You played well. You have to feel solid about your contribution tonight. Focus, you know, if you want to rein a jam at home on the road too, you know, if you want to keep reading. I think both all the team I've defined, you know, Jimmy, Jamion, Dostr Kamien see, we are any years to teach I tame by, but I think you're really probably good since your defense tonight, just like the Washington game overall, the Ticking defense is really solid against

the Wizards. I mean every time I've put some goals to myself, you know, to see how my goal was, uh getting some official minutes, and then to play difference, you know, to show the give. I sha't play difference. I'm really have fair about it, you know, because the offensive did. Everybody knows what I can do. I just decided to go burkon. Thank you, congratulations. We appreciate your time.

Thank you, you've been listening to seventy sixers rewind. Be sure not to miss new episodes the day after each game this season, all year long,
