Back here at the center sexiest coach Brett Brown talking about mark El folks still statement and so to your point, you know him, what do you have did he shoot for? Yeah, if she made one, you know that's good that that that's a good mentality. Not really, I mean, I don't care. It's not like I want it or I don't. If it's available, then he should shoot it. And and I think that that uh, you know, mark El shots were there, so he shot him and there really probably wouldn't be

any that I said, Ben, you know turned down. Um, so I answered that way. You know, it doesn't worry me. If it's there, I would like him preseason from to shoot it. But I don't think he avoided. Its two out there together, the one that made seems like the prototypic way he's going to get it. Want a driving kick by Bead, I think so. But I also can see it on a swing swing when they double team Joel. That's for me, it's about corners as much as as

as as anything. You know, whether it's driving dish to your point from Ben or Joel's at a post and you know they double him and we got to flip it out and then find him over in that other week side part of the floor of the corner. You know, the the corner threes we get, you know where they rank in relation to percentage shots. It's a high percentage shot, and so I hope to grow his evolution from three

point land from from that area. Especially Sixers coach Brett Brown in the post game press conference talking about the Sixers three point shooting and just prior to joining coach, he was talking about fulls and what he liked most is no hesitancy. As Folds played twenty four and a half minutes, he goes five of twelve from the field. He took four threes, Marquel with six rebounds, a dozen points, a block, and an assists. So again the Sixers win with ease. Will say the final one twenty to one.

Fourteen got a little sloppy in the second half with the fouls and the turnovers. But the Sixers bench, led by cork Mos and TJ McConnell really helping that group and they did a good job as the Sixers maintain their lead. Now the Sixers two and oh as they head to China, they'll be in Shanghai. They're going to take on the Dallas Mavericks, who of course now have

DeAndre Jordan. We understand Dirk norm Biscuit is gonna come off the bench, and of course Dennis Smith Junior, the impressive second year player now along with Luca Donnich so Orlando, excuse me, Dallas figures to be a lot better. They'll play two games against the Dallas Mavericks, the first of which will be Friday, and that will be at eight

in the morning. You can watch the game on NBA TV's actually listed at seven thirty Friday, October fifth, and then Monday, the eighth week from today at eight am they'll take on Dallas in Shenzen on NBA TV. So or again, our thanks to Tyler Zuli back at the station and Marty Dickerson here. Brian Seltzer will pick up our coverage with highlights and look back on this game.

The next game for the Sixers stateside will be the opener in Boston live from the TD Garden on October sixteenth, and then the home opener here is eight o'clock against the Chicago Bulls Thursday, October eighteenth. For now, Tom McGinnis from the center, thanks for listening to Sixers beat Orlando one twenty to one, fourteen back after this. On ninety seventy five, The Fanatic, He's the Philadelphia seventy Sixers postgame

show beat Swanson on the seventh. Damn he frozen down over to JJ three bullets, good running crops at home. The Sixers postgame show right now On ninety seven five The Fanatic, A truly jump tastic effort by markul folds in the Philadelphia seventy Sixers in preseason game number two, the last one state side for your Sixers before they set off for a cross world flight later on tonight to China for the NBA China Games later on this

week and into next week. Brian Seltzer saying hello from this center, were the fans who are here tonight, and anyone who listened elsewhere or watched god treated to the type of performance from Mark el folts that you have probably been yearning for. This is not to make too much or over dramatized a night like this, but listen, we know that everyone has wanted to see Mark el

Foltz's shot, and it was on full display tonight. I think symbolic of the emboldened confidence and inner self belief that Foltz reacquired of the course of this offseason, and he helped leave the Sixers to a one twenty one fourteen wire to wire win over the Magic, Foltz finishing with a dozen points five of twelve from the field. Now, one of those attempts was an end of first half desperation heave, But by my count, all but nine of Foltz's shot attempts and will throw that he in there

as one that's not in this category. They were all poe ups at the elbow from the corner, one for

four from three. Thought his first three point a ten from the corner, which was a miss, looked really good coming out of his hands, and that's arguably the biggest takeaway from tonight's game, in addition to the fact that Joel and Beach started the game great had his way playing some bullyball, finished with twenty one points seven rebounds, the Sixers continuing to establish Ben Simmons on the block.

He had a very smooth night nine points, seven assists, five boards in just twenty one minutes and a game high plus fourteen for the Sixers the bench, there were some highlights fur Con Korkmas eighteen points, eighteen minutes, six of eight from the field three to five from three. And I really liked what we saw out of Landry Shamma tonight. Yes, offensively, he was able to do things in quick work twelve points and twenty minutes, three of

six from the field two or four from three. But I thought he held his own defensively two chasing around a guy like DJ Augustine, going up against the likes of mostly Jonathan Simmons, but also Aaron Gordon a bit. There's some nice takeaways from Landry Shammont, who was thrust into extra duty. With Wilson Chandler and Jared Bayliss not available tonight's one twenty one fourteen seventy Sixers winners over the Orlando Magic, and we rejoined now by Tom McGinnis,

who are the call of tonight's game. Had to like, Tom, what you saw out of young Marquel. Yeah, Folts played well again, that's for sure. And I just think his confidence is going to grow and grow during all of these experiences, and I think he can be an integral player obviously going forward for the Sixers and hopefully you know a lot of the phrase Big three with homegrown talent right here in Philly. Sixers over the Magic one

twenty one fourteen. Also nice to see Joel and Be not only finished with a nice final line, which he did in Friday's game against Melbourne, but from the jump of tonight's game, they went to him, They fed him and he delivered right and he's just you know, so you're getting the sense. And again it wasn't really flight competition Friday. I don't mean to disparage Melbourne United, but you know, tonight he was going against Vossovich. My point

is it looks like him Be. You're gonna be able to pencil him in for twenty points per He's just really good around the rim. I thought he showed a lot of patients where you know, he was like holding his pivot foot and countering, moving left and right and still able to get to the cup. He got some really good looks. I think teams are letting him shoot the three and he wants to go away from that

a little bit, and I get it. I believe he was one of six, but he's getting wide open looks from the top and he is more than capable of making that shot. But he is making an emphasis to try to get the ball closer to the basket. And I thought he, you know, Vussovich would not be dubbed one of the more physical, you know, five men in the NBA. But I thought he was able to establish position, hold his ground and get the ball on the block.

And that is gonna behoove him going forward than what we saw maybe in his first years quite a bit. And that is where he caught it and faced up from eighteen feet and you know, by his own admission and what Coach Brown has led in terms of a directive, they're talking about him playing more bullyball and getting the line tonight, I thought we saw that with a major dose of finesse, like I said, with that skill set to get to the cup, and he made it look

easy at times. Tonight six Ers top of the Magic. They're now two and oh on the preseason one twenty one fourteen team is off to China later on tonight. Landry Shamont tom he is a guy who I would like to see more of. I liked it absolutely, And you know, Jared Bayless was playing a lot in practice and certainly in the first game, but because of his

injury yesterday I think Landry Shammont got those minutes. And you know, Coach Brown uses that phrase about practice in the case of September scrimmaging, the gym will speak to me, and what he's saying is that, you know, watching the guys play, you see who's playing well, you see what they're doing, and it was right on display for everybody tonight. Landry Shammont played well. He got into kind of a manaimana with Jonathan Simmons and I thought he held his hone.

He got a couple of foul calls that were questionable, but he showed he can shoot, and again that's why they drafted him. And I think he's a young player who's gonna get stronger and really I think hopefully a rotational player for a very deep team. And you saw that with how the Sixers have finished his last two games and Shammon has really he showed well. Tom McGinnis, thanks so much for the insights. Cannot wait to hear you next on opening night, Tuesday, October sixteenth, back of

the Garden seventy Sixers and the Celtics. Yeah, it'll be great, certainly a tremendous opener. The NBA has a way of crafting those matchups, and the rivalry is back, and it's going to be a big one, to be sure. The other game there for the Sixers is on Christmas Day, also on national television. I mean you talk about a marquee matchup. This is the first game of the NBA A season the Sixers, and the season of course the home opener here, which will be so exciting on October

eighteenth against Chicago. Brian, thanks and goodnight. Sixers beat the Magic one twenty to one fourteen. We'll play back a few of Tom's highlight calls right after this as our postgame comage continues here on ninety seventy five to the Fanatic nine seven five the Fanatic seventy Sixers one last time in the United States this preseason before setting out across the country, across the Pacific, all the way to

the western Chinese coast. We're gonna begin the NBA China Games two game series on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks. Put some work to be done against the Orlando Magic tonight, Brian Seltz, it with you from the center. Let's get to some of the highlights. Mark el Folds looking to build upon a very encouraging first preseason adding on Friday, well he did that, and then some giving Sixers land

what they wanted in a good amount. Tonight Sixers ball across bad court band, well enough temp dribble kick out, Marquel dribbles, pulls up baseline three books good, Markel Foltz pors it in from the corner and an eight point Sixers lead, and the fans loves that. Markel Foltz gets the basket. He's got five And it wasn't just a three pointer, but a jump shot from Foltz out of his twelve field goal attempts nine by my count, all

of the pull up variety five of twelve. A really good step forward for Foltz, who had finished with a total of twelve points in tonight's game. More from him in a bit seventy six in front, thirty to twenty four. After a quarter, Magic started to close the gap a little bit with a run that ended the first quarter. Going into the second, Landry Shammon's capitalizing on some extra run Dario and Emir Johnson with the box coming toon with the ball into the corner Shammon Landry Shammon for

three and it's good. That's what he does. That's why they drafted him out of Wichita State. And a corner three set up by Covington. The triple is good and the Sixers built up a ten point lead. Again, some good things from Landry Shammon and down the stretch of the first half, mark El Folts back in the mix. So it's a ten point game. Here's Folts coming right back and pulling up and knocking it in. Markl Now

with ten and seventeen minutes, he's four for seven. Yeah, just really bouncy and confident, comfortable, smooth out there, working as jump shot into various stretches tonight's game, letting things come to him. It was great to see Sixers in control sixty to forty nine at the break, but the Magic battled back, trimming the margin two with three midway through the third, sixty seven to sixty four. Robert Covington

the Vet stepping up with some timely triples. Here's Cup with another three shot up, perfect rotation and in Reddick flattened out their defense along the right baseline and threw it back out to a waiting Robert Covington. Magic Watch. Robert Covington hit three pointers on back to back possessions and that would give the Sixers some separation. They went into the fourth quarter with a lead of ninety three

seventy eight. In the fourth some of the deeper reserves got an opportunity to get some action for concorkmis making the most of what he was given outside left fur Coon off the dribble, Corkbis clops it, drives it and scares it. Gopher can go. He's now five of seven. He's got fifteen points all around. Another really productive positive preseason evening for the Sixers, which beat the Magic one

twenty to one fourteen. Some final notes from the final stat sheet six or forty seven percent from the field, the Magic just under fifty sixers with fourteen three pointers Orlando with ten free throw shooting A big story and big story in respect to the game time in this one tonight, the Sixers thirty of thirty six from the foulon. They also dominated the glass plus thirteen. They only gave

up five offensive rebounds to the Magic. Individual notes jo ellenbi the high score in the game with twenty one nine of fifteen from the field. He also had seven rebounds and two assists. Nine points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals for Ben Simmons. We said markul Folks finished with a dozen, six rebounds for him to go

with an assist and a block off the bench. Some guys have note JJ Reddick pretty good in seventeen minutes with twelve points, Landry Shamut with a dozen as well, and fur Con Corkmas six for eight three to five and Justin Or nineteen minutes eighteen points overall from the second year player out of Turkey. Wire to wire win for the seventy six Ers tonight, which are now two and oz on the pre season Magic on one after

losing their debut. So here's what's going to happen. The seventy Sixers are going to be in China for their next two and final preseason games, starting on Friday morning, seven thirty Eastern from Shanghai against a revamp Dallas Mavericks team. At this point in time, I think we can say with confidence if you are not able to access the TV and watch the game on NBA TV, you can listen, perhaps making your morning commute on the Sixers app downloaded

if you not have it, or on Sixers dot Com. Well, some live play by play audio coming your way on the Worldwide Web in global fashion.
