This is seventy Sixers Rewind time now to listen back to postgame reaction from the team's most recent game. He's the Philadelphia seventy Sixers Coast Game Show and the Sixers win on Jimmy Butler with a game witty triple? Are you Jenny Bay the Sixers postgame show right now on ninety the fanatic, big, big bounce back win for the seventy Sixers out in Los Angeles at Staples Center over the LA Clippers, one nineteen to one thirteen. Just the type of performance you wanted to see from the club.

We're gonna get back on track with Joe Ellenbid back in the mix after a tough loss on Sunday against the Portland Trailblazers. Good morning, if you're listening back on the East Coast. My name's Brian Seltzer from Sixers dot Com. We'll play back some of Brett Brown's commentary in some and recap those and also a few of Tom McGinnis's highlight calls. We're gonna hear from the man himself in just a moment. But the Sixers grind this one out.

They fend off a feisty and pesky La Clippers. Team Sixers led by as many as twenty four points, but going into the final minutes their lead had been whittled

to all but four points. Joel Embiad came up with some really clutch key baskets, late, nice layup in tight and a seventeen foot jumper to halt a ten nothing Clippers run, and then Ben Simmons with a few finishing touches of his own, a nice floater in the lane and a big dunk to give the Sixers the insurance points they would need to put the Clippers away and Bead in his return after a one game absence with twenty eight points nineteen rebounds, with those totals leading all

participants in the game. Ben Simmons with fourteen points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. There was some friskiness on the court tonight's There was a double ejection with Jimmy Butler and Avery Bradley. You could tell that there was some intensity and some spirit between the two squads, but the seventy six Ers were able to weather all that for win number twenty four on the year. Six Or shot forty eight percent from the field, twelve of twenty six from

outside the arc. They were excellent on the glass, out doing the Clippers on the backboards by fourteen. A guy who was a big part of that, of course, was in bed, but also Jonah Bolden, the young Ossie getting stuff done out there. He was four for four from the field for nine points six rebounds, five of which came on the offensive glass. He was a big part of the reserve Corps effort tonight in the win for the seventy six ers. T J McConnell with eleven, Mike

Muscala with ten to go along with five rebounds. Nice to see some shots drop from Mike Muscala in this game after a tough start to the road trip earlier last week, especially in the game against the Utah Jazz and the Boston Celtics. Six or defeat the La Clippers by the final score of one nineteen to one thirteen. They sweep the season series. They're now two and two on the road trip. Bringing Tom McGinnis right now, who

is standing by at Staples Center time. Obviously, you would love style points if that is possible, and it looked like it was going to be that way for quite some time in this game. Of the bottom line was the Sixers needed to get back on track, and they did,

no doubt about it. And like I said, it's hard to dominate that much of the game, you know that the way they did in the early quarter, when you're playing on another team's floor, a team that's awful good, like at one point they had the best record in the West, and they have a players that you know, were incredible players, like you know, the four people that had over twenty and Harold and Harris and Williams and

Gallinari and so it got tough. But those those baskets down the stretch, that's what playoff basketball is like, So the Sixers, and of course that that's where you miss Butler to have that kind of option, and and Bid became the go to guy, made two big baskets, missed two, turned it over Simmons, as you say, with that lay that that was really big, because that's available is his ability off the drive to be able to get into

the lane. And he switches to that right hand and he's so effective using we'll call it his off hand because he's a left hand player. But like Rett Brown was even saying pregame, he does a lot of things right handed. He throws a football right handed, those types of things, and he scored. And then that last play, you know, to throw it off Thornwell and they will go get it and score it. That was just the crafty play to put the icing on the cake, to

put the game out of reach. But you know, all told, like you say, to gain a victory. Here is the big thing. Seventy six Ers knock off the LA Clippers for the second time in as many meetings this season one nineteen, one thirteen. I don't know, time. Do you think there's something about Hollywood and LA for guys like Joel embiid Ben Simmons. They really seemed to, at least in the limited sample size we've seen between last year

and this year games played out there in LA. They step up and they deliver you and they both spend some time out here. And as we said, Jimmy Butler, of course JJ played here. So yeah, I mean, you know, this is it's different. There's movie stars on the court. You know, it's just a whole different thing. And you know it's I think too, the competition. So you know,

let's hope this holds against the Lakers. It certainly did a year ago when the Sixers played here against these two teams, and they'll be here at the end of the month. So this this was a hard fought win, you know. And like I said to me, what's what's also encouraging is the bench stepped up. I mean, Bolden has has gotten into the games. He's had some ups

and some downs, but tonight he was really big. He had a big shot, he had a rebound put back, he was hustling, and that that's I think what Brett Brown was looking for. And and TJ was again ever steady and consistent. Mascal, as you say, hit a big shot. That's what they need, particularly against this team from LA where their bench is one of the strengths of their of their team. And so that that group, I thought, even cork Mos and Shammon had their moments and stepped

up and made contributions. And that that's what you need in order to win these these hard fought, tough games. You know, this was like a playoff game in terms of uh, certainly how it ended, where baskets were hard to come by and half court possessions were huge in the waning moments. Seventy six Ers beat the Clippers one

nineteen one thirteen. Do you think tom it says something about the way Joel Embiid goes about his business to come out and be as purposeful and as impactful as he was, I mean, that's he makes it look easy. But I gotta think it's not the simplest thing to come out there and be as dominant as he was imposing his will at the outset of this game, even

after missing only one game. No, you're you're right, I mean, and he comes out, you know with the three where a has been shooting it that well, and then be team's playoff him and what in beat is two In addition to all this physical skill, he's a very smart player, and he knows how players how they guard him, whether it was Scourtat or you know they're now I thought the guy who did a really good job against him

was Harrold. So to step back into the mix and be dominant early that that set the stage for the sixers. And then you know, I'll go right to the end where one of those baskets he had, he had a face up jump shot, and then he had a basket dans Harold where he wasn't even square to the goal because his shoulders were not really squared up. He's he's kind of twisting back, going left, but shooting it over his right shoulder. And he made it. And that's how

difficult it sometimes is. And Harold's not his biggest joel, but you know, to your point, he had a huge impact early in that game, dominating with both points and rebounds, high turnover game. He's got to handle that ball a little bit better against the trap. Oftentimes he's handling it with one hand, and to me, that's just not the recipe of how to work that ball out of a double team. These these players are so quick and the length is there and you know, so whatever, but he played.

He played really well. And you know, boy, you talk about tough back to back. Now the Sixers, as I said, you know more than once already they played tonight. When do you say that, I mean, I mean we're seeing it tonight in the circumstance. But that's a tough back back, no doubt about it. But we know if there is one person who can handle it, it is no doubt.

Tom McGinnis, well, it'd be fun to see how the Sixers fair against to have a booker and that that group is playing a lot better with DeAndre eight and Joel. We'll have another big matchup, and for the Sixers it's the difference between a winning road trip or not. They're two and two so far with the losses have Portland and Bosson and the wins here and in Utah. So we'll see how it goes tomorrow against the Suns. Already Tom war. Depending on where you are, right right, thank you,

good night, Talk to you. Seventy Sixers over the La Clippers one in nineteen to one thirteen. Joel Embiid with twenty eight points and nineteen rebounds, three block shots in his return from a one game absence and helping the Sixers get the job done, and it became a tight, intense, close game down the stretch after the Sixers led by as Many's twenty four points and scored a season high

seventy six points appropriately in the first half. We'll come back close things down on the postgame show by playing back some highlights from Tom MC. This is call of tonight's game. five the Fanatic. If you are still up late with us back on the East Coast, we thank you, and hey, you got to follow along and listen to a seventy six Ers win, a good one at that over the LA Clippers by the final score of one nineteen to one thirteen. Let us now, I'll get to some of the highlights. It's called by the one and only Tom McGinnis. Joel Embiad was a game time decision. It was a good game time decision, and he made his presence felt right away. Beat catches and shoot for three on top

of the ten. Joanna Bead with a triple to start the game, seven to the feed and it beat knocking down the three. You know, if you think back to the other week when Joel Embiad went two straight games

without even attempting a three pointer. Since then, he's said at least two threes in now three straight games counting tonight, and Beid was huge and getting the seventy Sixers off to a really promising start, nominally in the beginning of the first quarter, but in the final three minutes as well, be with the rebound duke fourteen one o'clock dwell around Quobon Maranovitch and so great hustle by the Sixers as they get the basket within bead as the Clippers turned

the ball over and Joel inside at a second chance opportunity, and now the Sexers lead by eleven, their largest lead, and bed had ten points in the final three minutes the first quarter, fifteen in the first quarter. Over all, the seventy six Ers left forty one twenty eight after twelve and it's a play going on to the second quarter. A guy who was also feeling good back in familiar stomping grounds in Los Angeles at Staples Center, former Clipper

JJ Reddick, Joell and b to Reddick. Reddick for three from out top and in JJ Reddick you talk about ultra quick release. Well done, He's three for four all of us attempts him coming from beyond the arc. That makes it fifty two thirty six, and Reddick would do a three point of They made at seventy six to fifty eight going into the break, the seventy six points the most of the half, either in the first or

the second for the seventy sixers all season long. So again at the half, the Sixers all in control, seventy six to fifty eight. Moving on to the third quarter, the seventy sixers maintaining a healthy lead. Ben Simmons playing well. Here's been on a drive, a wicked attack on the basket, going right at court dot and in ten points now for Simmons, eighteen point lead. Halfway through the third eighty

nine to seventy one. To seventy Sixers were up by thirteen going into the fourth, one on one to eighty eight. Michael Moscala, one of several reserves of the seventy sixers who had a strong night this basket. About five minutes into the fourth, down the stretch. Here's Jimmy Butler with the ball back out top, Pascotta wide open, three balls shot here, it's good. Mike Pasconta puts it in. But then over the next four minutes ten straight points from

the Clippers that got them real close. The Sixers were looking for someone, anyone to stem the tide, and what he knows Duellen Bid rising the occasion once again eight to shoot a beat, driples away from the trap. Now single coverage left wing jump shot up. Rit's good hit be with a jumper from fifteen. I'm on the near wing and the Sixers would back to back basket by the roll Star Center lead by six two minutes ago.

That made it one fourteen to one away. Lou Williams would split three throws on the ensuing possession for the Clippers. Ben Simmons livered a pivotal floater after that, and that would be good enough to nudge the seventy Sixers across the finish line in their six point victory in it tonight's game. So final notes from the final statuet. Sixers shot forty eight and a half percent from the field,

the Clippers forty six percent. Sixers a huge advent from outside the arc twelve three pointers on twenty six tries. The Clippers were just five of twenty five from the perimeter. The Sixers dominated the glass fifty five to forty one was their advantage. They were plus five on offensive rebounds, five of those offensive boards going to Jonah Bolden. The Sixers also handing out twenty five assists on forty two

made field goals. That is a pretty good ratio. Joellenbad after the one game absence with the left new Sournus, led all players with both twenty eight points and nineteen rebounds. He was nine of nineteen from the field to a four from three, and eight of twelve from the foul line. Eighteen points for JJ Reddick, fourteen points, nine rebounds, eight assists for Ben Simmons, sixteen for Jimmy Butler on five of thirteen shooting. He had six rebounds four dimes as

well in only twenty nine minutes. He was ejected along with Avery Bradley after an incident with about seven minutes to go in the fourth quarter, and that was just moments after double technicals were issued to Joel Embiid and Patrick Beverley in what was a eisty, very physical at times,

chippy game and a good win for the Sixers. The Clippers had four players hit twenty points or more, twenty two for Lou Williams off the bench, twenty one apiece for Tobias Harris and Danilo Gallinari, and then twenty points for Mount Trezl Harrell. A great game for the big man. He also had a double double with ten rebounds. So the seventy Sixers they get the win over the Clippers. They sweep the two game season series for a second straight year. They're now two and two on their road trip.

They are twenty four and fourteen on the season, and they have a flight to the Desert and Phoenix, Arizona ware. If you're listening back in the Delaware Valley later on tonight at nine pm Eastern, it'll be the seventy Sixers and the Phoenix Suns. The Sun's overall on the whole. They are struggling this season, and they have actually dropped five out of the last six games, but that was

after winning four consecutive games. Sixers beat the Suns by five, one, one, fourteen back on November nineteenth at the Center Big thanks to the dude's standing up late back at the studio.

That would be Tyler Zuli and Dylan McKinnon. Now for the radio voice of These seventy six Ers, Tom McGinnis, Brian Selzer saying so long for now one final time, the final score from Staples Center in La, These seventy six Ers one nineteen the Clippers one thirteen, Have a great rest of your Wednesday, and we'll talk to you a little bit later on tonight here on These Sixers Raider Networks.
