You're listening to rewind. They listen back on press conferences, highlights and analysis from the seventy sixers previous game. Welcome back here at Staples Center in Los Angeles, where tonight as sellout crowd of eighteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety seven looked on as the Lakers met the Sixers for the second and final time. The Sixers had won the earlier matchup in Philadelphia one O eight ninety one. The Sixers took to the court without three starters, Ben Simmons,

Joelvenb Josh Richardson all out with injuries. Second game here in Los Angeles on part two of this four game Western Conference road trip, the Sixers played here and lost

Sunday by six of the Los Angeles Clippers. And so the Sixers come out with a next man up mentality, and boy it was working early as the Sixers got tremendous performance a starter Harris with eight, Mike Scott made a couple of the threes off the bench, Cork Mos had eight, Glenn Robinson started well with four, and then right at the end of the first half, Howell Netto who got big minute due to the files on shake, Milton and Howell Netto To close out the first quarter

with the market put back basket six seconds ago head cork Bos roaming the back court, knocks it away Netto with the steel three seconds Howell then up for three. He's God. The Sixers raining in a triple at the end of the opening quarter, and the Sixers led by seven. After one, it was Philadelphia thirty five and the Lakers twenty eight. The Sixers with that basket by netto five three point field goals in the opening quarter of play.

Then the Sixers, with eight forty nine to go in the first half, had built up a thirteen point lead. Still looking good, I mean sharp, everybody stepping in and contributing. But then Anthony Davis, in his first season here in Los Angeles, a seven time All Star, took over. He swooped, he scored, he dunked, he blocked. He was incredible. Here Now a montage of three plays by Davis in a pivotal second quarter. Four lost Angelus, and now the Lakers

can tire take the lead. Rondo in the Laine dribble keep by him, brings it back up on the right side, Milton all over him twelve to shoot lot play Anthony Davis. Halla you jam. Davis gets the rebounds, he brings it the length to the court. Anthony Davis going in behind his back underhand moves. I've been good. What a play by the big man and the Lakers fans are going crazy. Anthony Davis putting his skills on fold display with a head of Team Lebron making the move by Robinson into

the lame back outside. He goes to Bradley. Now Davis catch shot three ball. It's good again. Anthony Davis is coming on. He now has twenty two points in the game and the Lakers go up by seven. Davis would end up with eighteen points in the second quarter alone, going seven for seven from the field, including two threes, two free throws, two rebounds, and two steals at six ten, an incredible array of skills on full display. Some of those were court length drives with blocks steals laced in there.

The Lakers led sixty five fifty four, and that chunk of the game was really the big difference, because they ended up out scoring the Sixers thirty seven and nineteen in the second and in that span toward the end of the first half by thirteen and in the end, that would be the difference in the game. But let's go to the third quarter. Davis makes a three, Lebron James makes a two point field goal, and then Lebron comes across mid court and unleashes a shot from about

thirty eight feet. Let's listen, Lakers at Gold going left, Lebron from big chord and it's good. Oh man, Lebron James from the logo taking to three just for kicks and giggles and a three point shot is good and the Sixers called time out. That capped off an eight oh run in the first minute fifteen in the third quarter. And as the Lakers went to the huddle, Danny Green, Javelle McGee, Anthony Davis, they all stopped and lookt and kind of brushed the court where James had made that

shot from. And James obviously with range, and he made it count. He made two threes in the game. Lebron with twenty two points, fourteen and seven rebounds, but the Sixers battle back Glenn Robinson had a season high twenty five points. He matched the total he had accumulated earlier with the Warriors, and Robinson with a nice play here a slam dunk to make it ninety three seventy eight

free throws by Burke's gun. He's now seven of eight two free throws six or seventy six and it's steal by Furkund and Robinson and a two hand jam, so it's ninety three seventy eight. Sixers showing signs of life, but the Lakers would pull away to lead by sixteen.

After three, it was ninety six to eighty into the fourth quarter of play, Robinson Note once again connecting for the Sixers, built up a screen by Horford one on one with the white Howard takes up throws into the corner, Robinson, Robinson drives, hangs scoops bank shot around a gun Glenn Robinson puts it in time out LA and the Sixers then had multiple chances to cut further into the league.

They stimula Lakers with around five minutes to go LA with some misses some turnovers, but the Sixers did not consistently capitalize to cut in the lead, and in the end Lebron with a dish to Avery Bradley with a shot that would put the Sixers out of contention. Lebron on the near side with the right hand dribble on the hash markets a screen bike. Davis and Horford and Harris are there. Lebron goes download to the corner. Avery Bradley catch shot three ball ball game. Bradley ended up

with ten points. That was his second made three Lebron, as they mentioned, with fourteen assists. The Lakers with the victory one twenty one oh seven, they're forty seven and thirteen. They've won their twenty second home game. The Sixers now twelve games over five hundred, thirty seven and twenty five and they lose on the road here tonight, and the Sixers have now lost nine consecutive road games. We'll take a look ahead as the road trip continues. Thursday, the

Sixers meet the Sacramento Kings. They were victors tonight over the Washington Wizards, and then Saturday, the Sixers go to Golden State to meet the Warriors in San Francisco, and they were sixteen point winners tonight in Denver. The Lakers

are now forty seven and thirteen. These Sixers are thirty seven and twenty five, and with Indiana's win over San Antonio last night, the Sixers now with this defeat, are sixth in the Eastern Conference, and as I mentioned earlier tonight during our broadcast, the Sixers and Pacers will have a big game at the Center a week from Saturday. To other teams on the schedule for the Sixers Washington

and Sacramento. Washington led by Bradley Beale with thirty five tonight, but the Wizards fall short in Sacramento the Aaron Fox with thirty one leading the Kings. That game of the Wizards coming up at the Center. But Thursday night at the Golden One Center in Sacramento, the Kings now twenty seven and thirty four will play hosted a Sixers and they were led in scoring by Fox, but Bogdanovitch had a big game with twenty one, and of course Buddy

Heel was seventeen, always capable for the Kings. That's been a tough spot for the Sixers. Simmons and b will be out. The updated status of Josh Richardson has should be made known. Tomorrow Sixers go to Sack and then they'll bust out after that game and Saturday they'll take on the Warriors in San Francisco and a big win tonight during an injury ridd old season for Steve Kerr

He had twenty two in that game in Golden State. With a victory, their fourteenth of the year. They beat the Nuggets one sixteen one for the Sixers. Come home and they'll take on the Pistons on March eleventh, and as I mentioned earlier, is Go Green Night. But the Lakers behind Anthony Davis and Lebron
