I am Lauren Rosen back with another episode of seventy Sixers Insiders. Today's one on one interview features Furkan Quark Mouse. I sat down with Furkon on media Day. As always, he made us laugh, he
made us smile. He gave us some valuable perspective and insight about returning to the seventy Sixers, his teammates he's excited to play with and more so, without further ado, here is my interview with Furkon. We're gonna We're gonna let him start the interview serious like yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. Okay, are you gonna ask me a question? Or no, you're gonna ask me a question? Go ahead, Hello six Ers friend, this is Lord Rosen. Today. I'm gonna have our dear friends.
I'm gonna have him tough questions. I hope he can answer with his really good English. And here's my first question. First of all, welcome again, thank you, have you back, thank you. And my first question is canne describe me a little bit your relationship with Batist table to wife's Harris and Jewel and beat. So now let's make it a real lover of Rosa. You got, you got the point, you got the ball. Let's see how I did for kron Korkmas. Welcome back. I'm going to start with some
of your teammates. Can you tell me a little bit about let's go in the same order, about your relationship with Matisse. How excited are you to be back with him. I'm really excited to be back with him, and I have a really good relationship with him. And I think he's real good at a smart guy. That's why I like him. And when I need to talk about Tobias, he's a good leader on the court of the court. You can ask whatever you want to him. He's going to be really open to talk. And Joel and bits,
Joel and meat. You know, here's Joel. I think my answers for you were better than your answers for you, because you know me, Oh thank you, But you know what, it's a good thing. I should give myself last credit because I didn't have to answer in Turkish. I think you deserve just a round of applause for doing all these in English. So if you're okay, we're going to continue my way now in English. Can I go back to where I was going to start? Yes, okay, great,
fir Con. Tell me about your off season. I know you were in Turkey. Can you explain? Can you share with us why you feel so comfortable there? What makes your experience they're special? I was in Turkey almost for like three months, and then I was looking out. I
was spending time with the family friends. That was really fun because you know, it's a long season, You're getting tired, sometimes stressful and long season when you play for championship teams, it's even more and overall somewhere that we are looking for We are looking for someone, you know, just to get into vacation, spend time and overall it was really a summer for me. What is it like to be what's the difference between being fir Con in Turkey and
fur Con in Philly. I think in turkys some funny. I'm more funnier. But in English I'm getting there too, because I know you guys are laughing most of my jokes. I don't know it's about I'm funny or or my English is funny, I don't know, but still like I'm happy about this creation. What's your favorite thing about the city of Philadelphia. Philly is a tough city, to be honest, it's a tough city. I think that's why I like Philly just being tough, because if you're just like being relaxed, normal,
I don't think it's fun. And when you're stressful, when you're under stress, when you know somebody's knocking your door, when you play bad, then you're welcome to Philly. You're at an interesting point in your career because you're still young, but you've been here for a while. Do you consider yourself a young guy or a veteran. I consider myself as a veteran because I don't see myself as a young guy anymore on the court of the court, because
it's not just on the court stuff. I think overall, I had enough experience in this league to be bed. What are your goals then as a veteran for this team? What type of energy are you trying to bring to the veteran group? My only goal this year to win that championship because when I watched like those guys, who is like wearing those rings, you know, posting photos Instagram
after they get the rink and everything. I'm getting really jealous, to be honest, why we were not there because we had a lot of potential, I think more than the other teams. That's why I want to be out there. I want to be on the top with my tear. I spoke to Joel shortly before speaking to you, and he said he was really excited when you resigned your contract. Take me through that moment. I know you wanted to come back to Philly, but we weren't sure if that
was how it was going to pan out. How excited were you in that moment? Describe it to us. It was a little bit weird because I've been in Philly like almost four years. This is gonna be my fifth year. And then I was kind of like in and out, but I was in every time. So it was kind of like a little treaty for me. But overall, I'm so proud to signing this contract, coming back to Philly, playing four championship and playing for the city. I cannot wait again to get into us. How to go to
get the work done. If you think about yourself, maybe when you were sixteen or seventeen before you came over here. What advice would you give to your younger self before your career started. Oh, I think I did a good job. I was just had a bad luck. I just had a bad luck like injuries, you know, all those stuff. I don't know, Like there's a couple of things that I will say, but still I don't mind to make
those mistakes because that's how you learn. So what advice would you give young fir Con when he was having a harder time. I will just say, stay hold, just keep being yourself because at ten of the day I will win. I knew that I was going to win. I want to ask you about the way we started this interview, because you do bring levity to the group. You bring a lightness, you bring laughter, You make people happy,
the fans feel it. Why is that important to you as part of your role, not just to perform on the court and be a good vet, but to make people laugh and to have a good time while you're doing it. Actually, I don't I don't like to be sitting in the locker room just be to like this phase, you know, looking down, I just want to laugh. I just want people to laugh because I think just how the friendship goes forward. That's what I'm trying to do. I don't want to be something else or I don't
want to be not myself. I just want to be myself and then people likes it. I'm glad that people likes it. Maybe some of the people they don't like it. You know, sometimes when you hear too much energy or like trying to be funny, here's the point, Like I don't. I'm not trying to be funny. I think like that's who I am. That's why I'm also happy about that. You said that your team goal is to pursue a championship. What is your goal? What do you want to accomplish?
What's your personal goal for the twenty twenty one twenty two season. I just want to I just don't want to be like represent myself as a shooter, you know. I want to put the ball down more defensively. I want to take one more step forward because I think last two years I've been taking who steps. But this year is going to be even more important because every position matters. Last year we saw in the playoffs, like you are losing the games by one or two points,
Like every position matters. And then if you want to win something, everybody has to step up. You had a truly electric hype video that you released of yourself working out. Can you take us through the production process? How did that video come to be? Because people loved it? So my PR team in Turkey, my team in Turkey, I think they did a great job. To be honest, I was not expecting to get a lot of reaction from the especially Philip Fins, but probably my PR team. They
knew that. That's why they did the video. But I was hyped because that was a really good video. I like it when I saw the video because when you are recording those type of videos, you don't know what's coming because you're just giving the poses, you know, trying to be cool. But at the end of today, when you see the video, it's totally different. So that's why I'm glad that, um they made a good job and then everybody liked it. Okay, this is my last section.
It's a group of superlatives. So I'm gonna ask you which of your teammates is most likely to do this, that or whatever. You're ready rapid fire, Which of your teammates is the most on time, the most punctual, me, which of your other teammates is also on time? I'm on the time every time, so so your earliest nobody's ever here from morning? No, no, I didn't mean that, like if there's a team flights like, I'm on I'm on the right all the time, not like earlierly, but
I'm on the sign. But I will say Tyres is getting it early, Isaiah, Joel, Poul, poular Reid is only two. So who else? Mattias, Shake, the Doory Birds, so basically everybody, I mean everybody famous. Who's the best dancer? Oh, Danny Green, I don't know if he's the best, but he thinks he's the best. But I would say Poul Red I'm taking it back. I would say Polari, who's the worst dancer? Matis terrible? Who would you trust most to get you
out of an escape room? Who? I will baby? Yeah? Like, who would you trust to help you guys get out quickly? I would say Joel, Um, Tobias Matis, and I think Um Shake is smart on those teams too. Who would you trust to cook you dinner? Ah, that's tough. I'm not gonna trust myself. And I don't know, I don't see any chef in the team. Do we have any chef? But if someone had to cook you dinner or you start starve to death, who would you trust? You know,
I had this conversation. It's interesting. I'm gonna I'm gonna find out. I don't know. I'm gonna find out. You'll get back to me. Okay, fair, Who would you trust to give you a recommendation? This one's hard for you because you give the recommendations for a restaurant. I will ask the okay, good answer? Who's the funniest? Funniest? Oh, I don't want to say myself, but funny? Who's the nerdiest? I don't know. Who do you trust to plan a party? I will take polide. Who do you trust to play
music in the gym? Myself? Who would you trust to babysit if you had kids? But now, Joel, who's the best dressed? Um, Tobias is good. Who's the happiest in the morning? Who's the morning person? Definitely not me? Uh, I'm not seeing anybody who's the grumpiest in the morning? The worst? No idea. Those are tough questions. If one of your teammates had to write a poem and perform a piece of poetry. Who would you trust to write a good poem? Tyree's okay, Firk. That's the end of
my questions. And normally I would wrap it up, but I'm gonna ask you to wrap it up. Okay, go ahead. So Sixers fan, old NBA fans, thanks for watching us. Here's our friend Laura Rosen. Whatever.
