Hello everyone, and welcome to the seven Minute Leadership Podcast. It's episode seven seventeen. I want to talk about something today that sounds simple, almost too simple, but it will mess with your head if you sit with it long enough. There are only ten digits in the world, zero through nine. That's it. Every number you've ever seen, every dollar, every metric, KPI, budget ranking score, every data point, every system, every algorithm, every piece of measurable success or failure, all of it

is built from those ten digits. Now here's where this gets interesting. For leadership. Digits are limited, numbers are not, and the same is true for you and your team. You have a limited set of raw materials, your personality, your habits, your experiences, your team members, your resources, your time. That is your zero through nine. That's your starting point. And a lot of leaders get stuck right there. They look at what they have and they say, this is it.

This is all I've got, this is my ceiling. They treat their digits like they are the final answer, they never learn how to build numbers. Strong leaders understand something different. They understand that leadership is not about having more digits. It's about how you combine what you already have. Think about this. The difference between one and one one thousand is not new digits, it's how those digits are arranged.

Same pieces, different outcomes. You can take a team of average performers and build something incredible, or you can take a team full of talent and create a mess. Same digits, different leadership. That's where leadership lives. It lives and how you structure a line and multiply what you already have. Now, let's take this one step deeper. Zero is one of those digits. On its own, it looks like nothing, But put it in the right place and it changes everything.

One becomes ten, ten becomes one hundred, one hundred becomes one thousand, same one different placement of zero. Leaders do the exact same thing with people. You have someone on your team who feels like a zero, low confidence, low engagement, low output. You can ignore them, or you can place them in the right role, the right environment, with the right expectations, and suddenly they multiply everything around them, not because they changed overnight, because you changed where you place them.

That's leadership. Now let's talk about the opposite misplacement. Take the number one hundred and move one digit the wrong way. Now you have ten. You didn't lose talent, you didn't lose resources. You misalign them. That's what happens in organizations every day. Wrong person in the wrong seat, wrong priorities, wrong communication, wrong timing, and leaders sit there wondering why performance dropped. Nothing disappeared. You just rearranged your digits poorly.

Leadership is not always about adding more. A lot of times it's about fixing the arrangement. Now, let's bring this home. You are not lacking potential. Your team is not lacking potential. You are sitting on your own set of zero through nine right now, skills, people, experience, time, opportunity. The question is not what you have. The question is what are you building with it? Are you stacking it in a way that creates value, or are you letting it sit there, unorganized, underused,

and misunderstood. Because here's the truth. Every high performing leader is working with the same basic digits as everyone else. They don't have access to some secret set of numbers. They don't have hidden resources the rest of the world can't see. They see combinations where others see limits. They build where others stall, They rearrange where others complain. And that's the difference between average leadership and elite leadership. You

don't need more digits, you need better construction. So tomorrow, when you walk into your role, I want you to look at your team, your environment, your challenges and ask one question, am I trying to collect more digits? Or am I building something powerful with what I already have? Because leadership is not about what you're given, it's about what you create. And as you think about that, remember this, You already have everything you need to start building something better.

Your job is to see the combinations, make the adjustments, and lead with intention. Don't wait for more resources, don't wait for better conditions. Just take your zero through nine and build something that actually matters. And this has been the seven minute Leadership podcast, and I thank you for listening.
