Helping leaders motivate their people to a higher level of performance through strong human relations, team building, and golajving. This is the seven Minute Leadership Podcast with your host Paul fella Aledo.
Hello everyone, and welcome to the seven Minute Leadership Podcast. It's episode five oh two today. I want to challenge you with a simple but powerful question. Can you start a business with just one hundred dollars? Now, before you shake your head or dismiss it, I want you to just listen closely. This isn't about theory. This is about what's possible if you're willing to strip away the excuses
and take real action. Think about it. Every empire started with a single step, and for you, maybe that step is one hundred dollars and a good idea. So step one redefine what one hundred dollars really means. Most people waste one hundred dollars without thinking, dinner out with friends, a few Amazon orders, a streaming service subscription you don't use. But in the hands of someone serious about building a
side hustle, one hundred dollars can be seed money. It's not about how much money you start with, It's about how resourceful can you really be Step two, start small, think lean. You don't need an office, employees, or a complex website. You need proof of concept. That's leadership at
its core, taking an idea and showing it works. With one hundred dollars, you can buy a domain name and a basic website, hosting order supplies to create a small batch of a product, pay for a few targeted ads to test a service idea in print, flyers or cards to get the word out locally. The point is the first one hundred dollars isn't for building an empire. It's for testing your idea. In step three, solve a real problem.
Too many side hustles fail because they're built on what I want to do instead of what someone needs solved. Leadership means putting others first. In business is no different. Ask yourself what problem can I solve for one hundred dollars? Can you mow lawns if you buy a cheap gas can and borrow a lawnmower? Can you design logos if you invest in Canva pro or five or ads? Can you bake cupcakes, tutor online or resell thrift store fines. The barrier isn't money, it's mindset and Step four, build
a feedback loop. Every dollar spent should bring you back information. Did the flyers work, did the ads convert? Did the product sell? That feedback is your compass. Leaders don't wait for perfect conditions. They test, adjust, and go again. Step five scale what works. Once that one hundred dollars proves the concept, reinvest the profits. That's how you grow. Don't pocket the first two hundred dollars you make. Use it to improve your offering, buy better tools, or reach more people.
That's where you stop being a dreamer and start being an entrepreneur. In step six, remove fear with action. Most people never start because they're afraid of failure. But here's the truth. If all you risk is one hundred dollars, the only real failure is not trying. Leadership isn't about playing it safe. It's about showing courage and small, deliberate steps. So if you have ever wanted to start your own
side hustle, here's my challenge to you this week. Set aside one hundred dollars and just write down one idea and then map out how you can use that one hundred dollars to test it, not build a company, not impress your friends, but test it, and if you're serious, document it. Write down what you did, what worked, and what didn't. Because if you can turn one hundred dollars into two hundred dollars, you can eventually turn two hundred
into two thousand. That's leadership and action. And this has been the seven minute Leadership Podcast, and I thank you for listening.
