Hello everyone, and welcome to the seven Minute Leadership Podcast. It's episode two oh three, and today we're diving into the future of leadership. The workplace is evolving rapidly, and so are the styles of leadership that make an impact. In this episode, we'll explore five leadership styles that are thriving in twenty twenty five and beyond, why they're effective, and how you can adopt elements of each to enhance your leadership approach. So let's start with a big picture.

Why do leadership styles matter? Why should we care about how they're evolving?

So?

The workplace has changed dramatically over the past decade, with remote work, diverse teams, and rapid technological advancements becoming the norm. Employees today expect leaders who are empathetic, adaptable, and forward thinking. The old command and control approach simply just doesn't work anymore. Leadership styles are like tools in a toolbox. Different situations

require different approaches. By understanding and adopting these emerging styles you can build stronger teams, drive better results, and stay relevant in our changing world. So let's break down the five leadership styles that are shaping the future. And number one is servant leadership and we've talked about this before. Putting the needs of your team first and helping them develop and perform to their full potential. Employees value leaders

who prioritize their well being and growth. Servant leadership foster's trust loyalty in a positive work environment. So how do you apply this style? So regularly ask your team what can I do to support you? Focus on removing obstacles and providing resources to help them succeed. Number two is transformational leadership, inspiring and motivating your team to innovate and achieve more than they thought possible. Because in our rapidly changing world, teams need leaders who can drive change and

encourage creativity. So how do you apply this one? Share like a compelling vision of the future and encourage your team to think big, recognize, and reward innovative ideas even if they don't always succeed. Number three is adaptive leadership, the ability to pivot quickly and respond to changing circumstances. Because with uncertainty being a constant today, Adaptive leaders can

guide their teams through challenges with agility and confidence. So how do you apply this one Well, Stay informed about industry trends and be willing to adjust strategies as needed. Involve your team in problem solving to ensure diverse perspectives. Number four is empathetic leadership, leading with emotional intelligence and understanding your team's emotions and motivations and challenges because empathy builds trust and connection, which are essential for team cohesion

and productivity. So how do you apply this one? Practice active listening, validate your team's feelings, and show genuine concern for their well being. And the fifth and final one is data driven leadership, using metrics, analytics, and evidence based decision making to guide your leadership. Because as data becomes increasingly available, leaders who can leverage it effectively can make

more informed decisions and measure their impact. So how do you use this style Well, incorporate data into regular team reviews, use it to identify opportunities for improvement. Combine data with human insights for a balanced decision making. So now that we've covered the five key leadership styles, how do you figure out which one best works for you. So here's the thing. Great leaders aren't locked into one style. The most effective leaders adapt their approach based on the needs

of their team in the situation. You have to start by reflecting on your strengths and areas for growth. Ask your team for feedback. It's one of the best ways to understand how your leadership is perceived. And remember, you don't have to master all five styles at once. Pick one or two that resonate with you, and start practicing them intentionally. So let me just share a couple real world examples of all of this. First, there's a co company in eastern Pennsylvania, Colt Airs in USA, who embodies

transformational leadership by sharing a bold vision for sustainability. Their building is insulated with hay and they have a garden that they harvest hundreds of pounds of vegetables that they use and donate to the community. They've inspired their team to develop groundbreaking sustainability solutions that are reshaping their industrial manufacturing industry. And then think of all the managers and

leaders who mastered empathetic leadership during the pandemic. They supported their remote teams by offering flexible schedules and mental health resources, resulting in higher engagement and retention for their companies. These leaders all didn't stick to a one size fits all approach. They adapted their styles to meet the moment. So here's my challenge for you over the next week. Identify which of these five styles could have the biggest impact on

your team. Start small, maybe it's facisting empathy in your next one on one meeting or sharing a vision. To inspire your team and to help you, I've created a free resource, the Leadership Style Self Assessment. You can download it from my stand store or my website Paulfalavlito dot com. It's a quick tool to help you identify your strengths and areas for growth. The workplace is changing, and so

is leadership. Our best chance for success as leaders is to stay on top of leadership by knowing and understanding all of the different leadership styles that are out there. By adopting these five styles servant, transformational, adaptive, empathetic, and data driven, you can lead with intention and make a lasting impact in twenty twenty five and beyond. This has been the seven Minute Leadership Podcast, and I thank you for listening.
