Episode description

Optimism isn't a belief that things will automatically bet better; it's a conviction that we can make things better.

If you ever need a calm space to think, relax, or just breathe for a while, I’ve created something new called OCEANSCAPE FM on YouTube. It’s simple, just soft piano and open ocean views, designed to be there when you need it.

Clyde Leigh denis here and today in our seven Good Minutes extra segment, we're diving deep into a powerful thought for today. Optimism isn't a belief that things will automatically get better. It's a conviction that we can make things better. This quote reminds us that optimism is more than just hoping for the best. It's about believing in our power to make a difference, no matter how small. It's about seeing beyond the current challenges and understanding that every action

we take can contribute to a positive outcome. Let's explore the origin of this thought. It stems from the idea that our mindset significantly impacts our ability to navigate life's ups and downs. Studies in positive psychology have shown that those with an optimistic outlook tend to be more resilient in the face of adversity. They're not delusional, They're simply more focused on solutions rather than problems, which propels them forward. So how can we apply this lesson to our daily lives?

Art by acknowledging that while we may not control every aspect of our lives, we do have control over how we respond to situations. When faced with a challenge, ask yourself, what can I do right now to make this situation better. It could be as simple as changing your perspective, offering help, or taking a small step towards a solution. Now, I want you to reflect on this question. What area of your life can you approach with more optimism and what

positive changes can you make today? Let's affirm together I am the architect of my life. My optimism is the foundation upon which I build my future. As we close today's segment, remember that your belief in the possibility of a better tomorrow is a powerful tool. Cultivate it, nurture it, and let it guide you. Optimism isn't just about expecting the best to happen. It's about working towards it, one day at a time. Until next time. I'm Clyde Lee
