Hey Mike, how are you doing today? I'm good, thanks. Well, I was figuring out AOC is getting her money from her district because she's probably out there shaking down the pimps, the hookers, and the drug dealers. Did you see that article? Yeah, there's a section of Queens that's part of her district that's just awful.
Well, yeah, they're asking the FBI to step in. They're begging Cash Patel to come down there and get the gang members and stuff out of there. They say it's like a third-world country. It certainly is. And it's the kind of thing that she, as a congressperson, should be doing something about. She should be there. She should be working with the people in her district to clean that mess up.
Maybe you've got those people, you know, voting for her so they keep business going there. I don't know. It just seems shady that, you know, she's out there, you know, with her and Bernie Sanders yelling about the one for signers. uh whatever that word is i can't pronounce it oligarchs yeah that's it so but uh you know and they're out there doing that and her district is i mean i've seen video of it they've got video on it everywhere You know, there's no hiding anything.
You know, the girls are out there half-dressed. The guys are passing drugs around. People are laid out on the sidewalk. It's disgusting. Yeah, it is, but apparently that's not important to her. What's important to her is making a name for herself. She just used that as a platform. It means to an end. Well, I don't know if she wants to make an idiot a name for herself, but that's what she's doing. Well, I think she thinks she's making a name for herself in a good way, not in a bad way.
It's sad. It's just sad. It is. They get these people in these major cities and they keep on voting. Anchorage, like I always say. You know, I mean, I drive by Davis Park on a regular basis. It's not getting any better, is it? Oh, you know what they had out there today? They had free medical for all. They had all kinds of tents. Really? Yeah, they got a free medical mobile unit that goes over there. No. Not unless I stop there and tear up my clothes real quick.
You know, but, yeah, they were out there. They had those, like, you know, not those tents, but the covered awning things with four legs. They had those set up, and there was a couple of them out there. One of the vans said something mobile medical. What the hell, you know? And they get, you know, you drive by there on days, there's trash bags sitting on the side of the road.
They come and pick up for them, and it's moving further. I mean, it started off there in the woods, then it went over to Davis Park. Now it's moving more towards that holiday station out there. So, you know, it's just, you know. Is it growing there? Oh, yeah, it's growing. It's growing by leaps and bounds, man. I mean, if our economy was growing that good, we'd all be rich right now. And the thing is, you know, the administration keeps saying they're watching it. There's nothing they can do.
Watching what? I mean, it's like reality TV. It's like watching cops or, you know, some kind of doctor show or something. People out there just nasty looking and walking around and, you know, you know, there's a thousand bikes around there and there's barbecue grills and propane tanks and motorhomes. I'm like, what the heck? Yeah, well, keep us posted, Chuck. I think the more we shine a light on this, hopefully maybe people will get mad enough and do something.
You know, I like to think that we had something to do with Meg's LSL staffing down, so maybe we can get this one, too. Yeah, maybe we can help. Chuck, always good to talk to you. You have a pleasure. You have a good weekend. You bet. All right, 454. Let's check some. Crash, let me check some temperatures, and I don't want to check yours. and I'm not going to come in and bake It's from an earlier show. Well worth looking up online. No, it's not.
51 in Palmer, 51 in Soldatin. It's raining in 47 in Homer. 51 in Talkeetna. Fairbanks is 46. Prudhoe is 16. Wow, it's getting warm there. Seattle, 62. New York, 61. Akaroa, New Zealand, 55. Pensacola, Florida, 73. Tampa is clear in 77. Tifton's mostly cloudy. Tifton, Georgia, 77. And Lake Havasu City, sunny, 85. Sunny and 86. That's what you're missing.
You could be there. I could. In six hours or whatever. How long does it take you to get down there? Well, it depends on, you know, if they don't have a direct flight. There should be. But flying to Vegas is probably about six hours. Yeah, about that. Why don't you just charter? You do that anyway. Oh, yeah. I'll get on my private plane with Maria Cortez or whatever her name is. Maria Cortez. I don't know. What's her name? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. That's what I said.
I'll just give her a ring and she'll... She'll probably go. It's a free trip. She'll go. Jet on down there. She'll head in the pool, you know. Yeah. I mean, you know, why not? Is there a meat raffle? Is there a meat raffle tonight? It's tomorrow. The meat raffle is Thursdays. Maybe you can get a call from your mom. She can tell you. You've never been to a meat raffle in a retirement community. No, I haven't. You have not lived. Okay. I'll take your word for it. All right. It is 4.56.
One hour to go. Stick around. We'll be right back. Mi nombre es Ariel. Welcome to hour number two. Good to see you. Good to be with you. It's 50 degrees. That's right. Five zero. That's kind of nice. 50 degrees outside. It's overcast, but that's all right. Actually, I had to look through the window. I had to open the blinds because Crash has got it. It looks like the Batcave.
Yeah, I like it that way. Dark, cold. Two lights hanging down from the ceiling. Depressing. It is depressing. It tears the rest of my life. That's how I'm comfortable. I wouldn't know what to do with happiness, Mike. I wouldn't know what to do with joy and optimism. I would have no idea what to do with those sensations. Well, you know, it's actually better to be that. Oh, yeah. You've got this one light that's kind of flickering above your head.
Oh, yeah, there it is. I see that. It reminds me of one of those cheap hotels. You can't hear it because it's too far away, but it's actually going... That would drive me nuts. We've got one, two, three, four lights that are out. So about half. You know, I really shouldn't complain. We finally got a light in. Well, that's because Daryl went over to the sales side and stole a bunch of light bulbs out of the ceiling and brought them over. Otherwise, we would still be...
2012. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you were commenting during the news break there. He came into my little hub in this room. We only have one studio monitor because one fell off the wall during the earthquake years ago and has never been replaced. No, it wasn't 64. It was 18. Yes. So seven years ago, approximately, that happened. And some of the ceiling tiles. that fell down as a result of the earthquake have still not been replaced. So there's insulation and wires hanging out of the ceiling.
But at least we got the copier that was hit by one of the monitors. That got thrown away. But we have a portable air conditioning unit over the corner that we can't use because the plug is ripped out. And then we have a portable air conditioning unit over in the corner that we can use when it gets too hot in here. And then out in the hallway, I can see it from here. We have a hole drilled in one of the ceiling tiles to vent the hot air up into the ceiling. I don't know.
Where it goes. What type of damage we're doing to the structure of the Diamond Center? I don't know, but necessity is the mother of invention. Some guy above us is getting warm. On the fourth floor is just sweating bullets. What's going on? Is he done? That's just us, folks. Just us. But you learn to adapt. You do. And it's fun. You know, I mean, if this place were perfect, I wouldn't know what to do. I really would. Well, let me tell you a place that is perfect.
with warmer temperatures on the way. It is officially window graphic. season your windows you know they're they're out there and you think oh this is great get some nice sunlight in but think of your windows as a marketing tool a powerful marketing Think about it. You catch your eyes. You promote your brand. You turn passersby into customers with custom window graphics from the good people at PIP. They're bold. They're vibrant. They're built to last. And PIP.
That's just the beginning right along with as Mike mentioned springtime here in Alaska comes something that a lot of people during the summer months are dependent upon, business owners here in the great state we all live in and love so much. I'm talking about tourism. It's a huge part of... The economy here in the state of Alaska, and if you have a business that's in fact involved in tourism, people have to know about it. It doesn't do any good.
to have this type of business, or any business for that matter, if people don't know what it is that you do. And if you are involved in the tourism industry, it's time to start revved up. Make sure that your marketing is on point and ready to go. And when I say tourism, it could be anything, some sort of guided tours, a lodge, welcoming, or if it's just welcoming.
shoppers from intertown or out of town, whatever the case may be, into your storefront. You got to make sure you make a lasting impression. So you need some storefront signage, maybe some brochures, business cards, rack cards. banners doesn't matter vehicle wraps not only can pip do the print job obviously they can help you design what it is that you're looking for as well anything needs to be done after the fact mailing services things of that nature the actual wrapping of the vehicle
They can take care of all of that as well. But don't take my word for it. You want to check out the quality of the work, go to the website. Make sure you visit the portfolio section. That's the gallery section. All you need to know right there online at pipalaska.com. Give them a call. 274-3584. That's 907-274-3584. Really, really good people. Boy, do they know what they're doing. I've been doing business with these guys.
which is a long time, 45 years. It's going to be 46 here coming up in May. Yeah, it comes right after 45. It's math. You know, it comes after 75, don't you? 76. That's the spirit. All right. Oh, gosh. I see what you did there. All right. It took me a minute to catch up, but I see what you did there. You see that? All right. If I'm going too fast for you, let me know.
They're going too fast for me. I got a note here from our good friend down on the K9 who says Bjorkman. We were talking about Jesse Bjorkman, and he voted with the Democrats. He caucuses with it. People elected him, so they must like it. Anyway, she says Bjorkman was elected when Michicki retired. This past election, Ben Carpenter ran against him, but lies and dark money weren't enough to get a real conservative to represent.
Well, what you got to do is fight fire with fire. I'm not saying have lies. But what I'm saying is that people, the conservatives, are going to need to figure out how to raise the kind of money they need to battle against the dark forces. the lift and if you don't you know it's you're gonna lose
So you get a good candidate, and Ben Carpenter was certainly a good candidate. I've talked to Ben a number of times, and I think Ben is a very, very fine man. But you've got to back the guy. You've got to help him. You've got to support him. And it's not enough just to be a good candidate. You've got to have the backing, the push, the money.
All of that has to be behind somebody in order to get that person elected. And it's also really hard to knock off an incumbent because the incumbent has name recognition. And they have a record. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's not. But unless you're able to show people why your guy is better than the guy that's in there now, it's not going to work.
So, you know, as I say, Ben Carpenter is a fine man and is a good candidate. But, you know, if you want to get Ben in there, you're going to have to back the guy with some money. And I know that's hard, but the other side's doing it. And if you don't do it, that's the game right now. All right, it's 516. Let's do this. Let's take our break, and we'll be right back. The Mike Porcaro Show with Crash.

Quieter weather takes hold as we close out this week. We'll see daily highs warming into the upper 40s and the lower 50s, some possible mid-50s in the valley, and then those overnight lows remain in the 30s. Stretch a sunshine through the end of the week. For Alaska's weather source, I'm meteorologist. Aaron Morrison. Now, back to the microphone. and if you're in the military and you're, you know, You should understand chain of command without question. If you're a colonel in the military,
and you don't understand chain of command, how did you get to be a colonel? That's a good question. Well, the commander of Fort McCoy was relieved of duty after a U.S. Army base in Wisconsin failed to install the photos of President Trump, Vice President Vance. and Defense Secretary Hegseth on a wall displaying the chain of command. Now, that's pretty simple. That's what you do. In any federal or government building, you have a picture of the president.
In military operations, you have a picture of the president, who is also, by the way, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United States of America. The chain of command. Well, Colonel Sheila Baez Ramirez was suspended as garrison commander of Fort McCoy. This suspension is not related to any misconduct, the U.S. Army Reserve Command said in a statement. We have no further details to provide at this time while this matter is under review.
Hexeth on Sunday reposted an ex-post claiming, Commander of Fort McCoy, whose base chain of command board was missing voters of Trump, Vance and Hexeth, has been suspended. It came after the Defense Department announced a probe as to why a wall displaying the chain of command had empty frames. where Trump, Vance, and Hex's images would typically be displayed. Now the fact that they weren't just missing...
The fact that there were empty frames there shows, I don't know, premeditation perhaps? Disrespect perhaps? In any event, if you're a colonel, you should know better. A new image posted on the wall showed the frames had since been filled. Regarding the Fort McCoy chain of command wall controversy, we fixed it. Also, an investigation has begun to figure out exactly what happened. The department's rapid response account posted on X. Ramirez assumed the garrison commander role in July of last year.
Previously, she had served as Chief of the Reserve Program, United States Army Intelligence and Security Command at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. and in other roles throughout the Army and Army Reserve. The move came after a series of leadership shakeups across the U.S. military earlier this month. The Pentagon fired the base commander at Patufuk Space Force Base in Greenland after she undermined...
Colonel Susanna Myers emailed base personnel on March 31st, writing, I do not presume to understand current politics. But what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of pituitary space. Well, I don't mean to throw cold water on any of this stuff, Colonel. But if the vice president of the United States is there speaking for the president of the United States, whatever the president decides, those are.
the values of your base. In any event, you have to look at this and you have to say to yourself, do these... Do these people who are in charge of various facilities and garrisons Do they understand the chain of command? And what are they doing? I mean, this is insubordination to me at the very least. Does it rise to the level of a court-martial? I don't know. That's up to the adjutants to decide what they want to do. But this is just deliberate. This is a thumb in your eye.
And you can't have this kind of nonsense. I don't care if you like the president. I don't care if you voted for the other guy. It doesn't matter. You're not there to express your political views or some sort of petty resistance move. You're there to do a job, and you are a United States Army officer. Act that way. If you cannot then you shouldn't be in the United States Army.
So, I mean, I don't know what they're going to do about this woman. She's been relieved of command. But should it go further? This is the second or third time now that this kind of nonsense has happened. And it seems like it's endemic here. So hopefully they can clean up the mess. Because if this is the kind of officer you have in charge, you've got bigger problems than you know. All right, 522-0650. It is 526. Let's do this. Let's take our break now, and we'll be right back.
The trial for a former chiropractor in Juneau accused of assaulting 14 women is being delayed again. It's the third delay in the case. A new hearing is set for Monday. Jeffrey Fultz has been accused of sexually assaulting the women. The trial is being delayed for a third time on his defense side. It was a small magnitude 4.5 earthquake Tuesday afternoon near Willow. It was felt in Anchorage 40 miles away and 1,000 people filled out the online forms of the USGS.
saying they felt the shaking near the Willow Creek State Recreational Area. No reports of any damage or injuries. The investigation into this weekend's fuel leak on the United flight that was going from Tokyo to Newark but landed in Anchorage has confirmed no injuries. This report is sponsored by Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center. If you or a loved one has a cancer diagnosis, don't just accept a hospital setting. At Anchorage Radiation Oncology Center, patients tell us we are like a spa. You know, the Supreme Court... The conservative majority offered some strong support for parents seeking the religious liberty right to be informed and opt out.
of the reading programs in certain elementary schools that they say conflicts with their faith. Now we had something like this here in Anchorage. The Montgomery County, Maryland School Board withdrew its original opt-out policy for books related to gender and sexuality prompting a federal lawsuit. In a marathon two-and-a-half-hour oral argument, the justices debated whether parents have been unfairly burdened in exercising their constitutional right.
It is one of three high-profile religious-themed cases the high court will decide this term, including disputes over tax exemptions for religious groups, and taxpayer funding for private religious charter schools, which will be argued next week. Justice Sonia Sotomayor and her liberal colleagues appeared to back the county's position on Storybook. She noted a lower appeals court that had refused a preliminary injunction to temporarily reinstate the opt-out policy.
They never reached the issue of whether or not there was disruption or what the motive was. But Justice Samuel Alito echoed the views of several of his conservative colleagues about returning to the previous policy that he said most schools in the country have. Alito also questioned the content of several of the books raised in the appeal dealing with same-sex marriage what he said was I don't think anybody can read
This is just telling children that there are occasions when men will marry other men. It's clear that there is a moral message and it may be a good message, but it's a message that a lot of religious people disagree with. Hundreds on both sides of the issue rallied outside the court, some carrying signs like let parents parent. And another that said include all families. The suburban Washington County introduced new books with LGBTQ plus characters.
and themes into the elementary school curriculum in 2022 as part of the district's inclusivity initiative. One of the challenge storybooks raised in appeals, Prince and Knight, described as the modern-day fairy tale for ages 4 to 8. Okay, four to eight. Now, this was two males falling in love after working together to battle a dragon, threatening their kingdom, and later marry.
Now, I'm sorry, but if you're between the ages of four and eight, you don't really need to know any of that stuff. And as a parent, I would find that objectionable. And you get older, fine. You can understand it maybe more, but not four to eight. Another book mentioned reportedly in the court's public session was Uncle Bobby's Wedding.
about a little girl's reaction to her favorite relative's plans to marry a man. The school district refused to allow... parents to opt out now that's to me that's just a basic core right of a parent If I don't want my kid to learn something in that school, I have every right to say no. And if you've got these controversial books and you want to teach them in your curriculum...
then I should have the right to say, well, that's fine, but my kid's not going to be a part of it. So I'm opting out. Now, what the school is afraid of is that everybody's going to opt in. When they change that policy, that's where the problem started. And that's the kind of thing that's going on in our own school.
You know, don't know. You can't tell the parents. You can't tell the parents. You can't let the parents in on what's actually going on because we need to teach these kids something. We need to teach them what we want to teach. This is so warm. The parents have the right to determine what their kids learn in school. And if they don't like what the kids are learning in school, the parent has a right to take that kid out of that school. Put it in a charter school. Put him or her at home school.
If this is the way you want to go, and this is what scares the daylights out of school district. Because parents are now exercising their right to vote with their feet and their wallets. Say no. We're not going to provide this. The next step, and I'm telling you, this is not that far down the road, is for people to say, you know what? Our school system is out of touch. Why are we paying taxes for this school system when a majority of our kids aren't in it? That's coming.
And I think that's a terrible thing because I think the public school system is a good aid. And it has great value, but not in the hands of people that seem to have some sort of ideological agenda. And that's my problem with how things are being done. Teach reading, teach writing, teach arithmetic, teach history, teach all of those things. But don't try to indoctrinate somebody.
That's the problem. And I have a feeling that the Supreme Court is going to come down hard for parents' rights, as it should. Because those kids are not the states. Those kids are not the school districts. Those kids are the parents. So that's what I think. People can agree with me or disagree with me, but I just told you what I thought. All right, 5-2-2-0-6-50. You know, I want to tell you something.

Call them at 907-646-2228. That's 907-646-2228. All right, it's 540. We have been talking about Republicans here in our state caucusing with Democrats. And you've got several in the Senate. You've got Gary Stevens, Kathy Giesel, Jesse Bjorkman, Kelly Merrick, and Bert Stedman. Those are all Republicans. There's five of them. And if you added them together with the other actual Republicans, you'd have a majority. But no, we don't.
So those five are caucusing with the Democrats. Then you've got Republicans in the House caucusing with the Democrats as well, people like Chuck Kopp and Louise Stude. They are supposedly Republicans, but they're caucusing with the Democrats. So what to do? We should do something about it. Well, maybe we should. The Montana Republican Party has censured nine Republican senators for abandoning party's legislative majority.
The Montana Republican Party, this is in must-read Alaska, formally censured nine Republican state senators for repeated... aligning with Democrat lawmakers during a 2025 legislative session, which undermined the elected Republican majority in the state Senate. just as some Republican lawmakers have done here in Alaska. Once again, let me tell you who they are.
Gary Stevens from Kodiak, Kathy Giesel from Anchorage, Jesse Bjorkman from the Kenai, Kelly Merrick from Eagle River, and Bert Stedman from Sitka. Also in the house, Chuck Kopp from Anchorage and Louise Stutes from Kodiak. So, where's our republic? According to a statement released by the Montana Republican Party, the party's executive committee voted unanimously to censure, and it lists the people that... that they censured. The censure vote took place during a meeting on March 27th.
The rogue Republicans had advance warning. The party issued a press release on March 13th, criticizing nine, stating that the Senate is frequently aligned with Democrats, creating obstacles for the Republican majority in the Senate. The release referenced actions beginning on January 6th, the first day of the 69th legislative session, when senators joined Democrats to overrule Republican leadership and create a coalition government.
The Montana GOP calls on the Senators to cease obstructing key Republican priorities and return to the faithful representation of their constituents in the Republican platform. If their actions continue to damage the integrity of the Republican majority, the party will consider additional steps to address the situation. The Montana GOP wrote its warning. The nine, what do you think they did?
They ignored the warning. As a result of the censure, the party said it would no longer recognize the senators as Republicans and would not provide them with campaign funding in future campaigns.
This is something that our Republican Party, if they have not... done so they need to do some Because if you don't do something... to police the standards of your party the membership of your party the fact that the party faithful are following the platforms I mean you don't have to be a Republican be whatever you want to be Because if you're going to be a Republican, there's certain things you supposedly support, such as, I don't know, other Republicans. But that's not the case here.
So I think something's got to give. So I'm calling on the Alaska Republican Party to do something about it. censure these people go after these people Campaign against these people because they're not Republicans. If they want to return to the fold, fine. but they're going to have to prove up right now they're not and right now what they're doing is they're taking the wishes of the people that elected them And simply using the mantle of being a Republican as a means to get elected.
So you're being used. Now, if you like being used, fine. That's what's happening, in my opinion. But you need to step up your game and you need to get tough and you need to do something. Just saying. We'll be right back. Back to the Mike Porcaro Show with Crash on News Radio 650. Getting calls into the Alaska Total Traffic Tip Line, letting us know that Tudorov's got a bit of a slowdown and backup on it, starting right there at Elmore.
Traffic is backing up in the right-hand turn lane. That lane is closed. So you mentioned during the last segment about the trials and tribulations of parents having to deal with the government telling them how to raise their kids and things like that. And we've talked about it numerous times on the show.
You would hope that it gets to such a point of ridiculousness that even people on the left have no choice but to go, okay, this is a little bit much. Exactly. So I don't know if you saw this or not. Let me shut that down so it stops making all those noises.
You're familiar with Bill Maher, correct? Yeah, absolutely. Bill Maher's one of those guys. He's obviously on the left, but he's one of those guys that's not... He tells the truth. He's not opposed to calling out his own party when he sees ridiculousness. Well, he was on... I don't know the guy's name. He was John Lovett is the guy's name. OK, John Lovett and John Lovett has certainly turned. the corner to John was a very liberal guy. And, uh,
He kind of started seeing the light. Well, not in this case, because they get into a debate. He's a transgender activist, and they talked about, you know, the... Are we talking about the comedian, John? No, you're thinking of the guy from Saturday Night Live. This guy's completely different. Oh, okay. Yeah. You're thinking of John Lovitz. This is John Lovitz. Okay. So Bill Maher is on his show, and they're talking about exactly that, the parents versus the government with the kids.
And the argument in Bill Maher's mind becomes so ridiculous that he gets up and leaves the show. You want the government to ban gender-affirming care for kids? You want to lose every election? Just keep coming down on the side of parents coming in second in a who gets to decide what goes on with my kid contest. First of all, there are also really important surgeries that people get for their heart.
and they go wrong and somebody dies and nobody says we must stop the cardiologist no one says we must stop the surgeons we say that's your analogy well my analogy is only that Let me finish. You got to go. That's it. You're just leaving? So he gets up and leaves. He's so disgusted with the answer and the analogy the guy made.
that he gets up and leaves the show so like i said maybe we are turning a corner maybe we are getting to a point where the people on the other side of the fence are beginning to realize this has reached such a point of ridiculousness that you can't defend it No, you can't defend it. No, you can't. We're talking about... They're talking to the justices in the Supreme Court about a book about same-sex marriage.
For four to eight year olds. That's just so... Okay. I don't... What? That's the best way to put it. What? What are we? What are we turning into here? Exactly. You know, I mean... It's it's insanity And it's the government essentially saying, now they had a policy in Montgomery County Schools in Maryland. The policy said you can opt out of these reading programs. So if you can opt out of the reading program, okay, I get it. As a parent, I can make that determination for my kid.
However, they changed it and said no, you can't. You know, what was happening is I think they saw too many parents opting out. Yeah. And, you know, we've talked about I brought a Bill Maher numerous times on the show. I think that somebody on that side of the political fence, I respect somebody who's willing to listen. And when something becomes ridiculous. Just saying.
Yeah. He's one of my favorites. He does not have a college education. He's a high school graduate, extremely smart, and he goes to college campuses and he loves to tell students that they're wasting their money on the education. So Bill Maher had him on as well.
And again, you got to give Bill Maher credit for having somebody on that has kind of a difference of opinion and he's willing to listen and sometimes even agree. Colleges have become a place where they want everyone to look different but think the same. Their idea of diversity. It's like, okay, we look at the yearbook photo and everyone has race diversity. Everything has to look like Angelina Jolie's Christmas card. There's no diversity of thought. There's no heterodox opinion.
They tried to get Western civilization taught at Stanford, you know this story, well over 15 to 20 years ago, and they removed it. They removed it from the core curriculum. Really? I'm going to be honest. These places have to be basically burned to the ground. Wow.
Exactly. I mean, look, that's such a great line, though. Their idea of diversity is what you look like, not what you think about. They want everybody to look different so they can say, look how diverse we are. But they want everybody to have the same opinion or you're completely wrong. Right.
Oh, you're a racist. Yeah, Bill Maher to me has become one of those guys that I watch because I think he's smart. Not because I agree with everything he said. I have friends who fall on the liberal side of the fence who say the same thing about Ben Shapiro. They watch him because he's a smart guy, and they like to hear his opinion on things. And I'm beginning to feel that way about Bill Maher. I disagree with almost everything he says politically. But he's telling you the truth.
And he's willing to listen to people. And when his own party does something asinine in his mind, he has no problem not towing the company line and calling them to the carpet for it, which I think we don't get enough of that. Well, and he said something that is very true. Do you want to continue to lose every election? Right, and you will as long as you continue to tout the government is one tier above the parents when it comes to raising the children. Nobody's going to buy this.
In fact, what Montgomery County, this case is doing, is it's uniting Jews, Christians, and Muslims. You get the parents of these children who are saying this. I agree. I've got kids. I mean, and you had kids and I can't fathom the government put in there.
big fat nose in there and telling me what i am and not allowed to do with my school-aged children right you got to be kidding me because we want to indoctrinate them yes and as you said it's going to get to a point where people are just pulling their kids out of school I mean do you really want to teach children about At four years old? You know, I mean, really? If that's something you as a parent feel that there's a need to discuss. That's something you. I personally don't at that age.
But if that's something you feel the need to discuss, that's between you, your spouse, your wife, husband, partner, whatever, and your kids. The government has no place there. Exactly. And nobody's attacking it. No, no, no, no. There's a time and a... Okay. I'm going to get a bunch of emails calling me a Bill Maher lover now.
Well, there's worse things, I suppose. All right. All right. We're going to take a break. We're going to see everybody tomorrow. Same time, same place. Have a great evening, everybody. At any given moment, somewhere in America, a baby is taking a first step, a development. What I remember most is the loneliness I felt. The separation from other people. At the end drinking was no fun for me.
