Episode description

Guitarist, songwriter and producer MIKE CAMPBELL has been playing with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers for years. But over the last 20 years, he has also fronted his own band, The Dirty Knobs. I spoke to him on the eve of the release of the band's second album. Remember the song "It's Raining Men?" How could you forget that cult-pop classic! We catch up with 'The Weather Girls’ MARTHA WASH whose music tells the story of dance and pop music from the days of disco right up to the present. It's a great yarn. Listener asked to hear from legendary 70's and 80's Aussie singer songwriter,  KEVIN JOHNSON. Not only huge in Australia, Kevin tells us how his songs were covered by a host of artists including Tom Jones, Mac Davis and Roger Whittaker. And the Europeans couldn't get enough of him. He's a wonderful chat and don't forget, if you'd like to request a guest, just send me a message sandy@abreathoffreshair.com.au Jon me won’t you?
