Transcript

Since ancient times, they have sailed the Seven Seas, left their mark on art, culture, religion, and imprinted themselves into our very DNA. It's time to discuss our close relatives. Cats! Yes, friends, you heard me right? Cats! Paka! Koyanggi! Gorebe! Neko! Why were cats adjacent to gods in ancient Egypt, but considered Satan's familiar by Europe's Middle Ages? Why do serial killers and despots hate cats? Did Sir Isaac Newton really create the cat door?

Or did he steal this idea from a peasant and claim the patents for himself? Like a dirty capitalist? Good questions! Find out on 6 Degrees of Dats! A bi-monthly podcast in which I, Amanda B, will investigate all the curious patterns and connections between human and feline kind, from a perspective you've never considered. And I mean, if we can't even communicate with the pets living in our homes, how are we ever going to communicate with other life forms?

But when I came in and applied for the job, they were just blown away at a black man, just like in cats like that. You know this respect, we just never seen a black man, like, you know somebody that looked like you, handle cats like this. But when this instrument was brought to the main island of Japan, it was covered with cat skin our history says. I am pretty sure that you'll never look at cats the same after listening to 6 Degrees of Cats. Subscribe now! (light cuckoo sound)
