Podcast 39: Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart

Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart are personal hero's of mine. I saw Blackhawk Down as a kid and their characters were the biggest thing I took away from the movie. I thought of selflessness and how important it is. I thought about the camaraderie of the military. To be willing to give your life for one another.

I was headed to basic training in 2 weeks after seeing that movie and I was excited for what I was joining. They had a huge impact on my life and I never had the honor of meeting them. It was a good example to live by. To accept that you are not the most important person but a piece of a whole is something that I live by.

We all have something to be thankful for. On Memorial Day we should all be thankful for all of the Men and Women that have given their lives for this country.
