Sara Slattery's life and running career is interesting. Starting out in high school she was a swimmer before she started running. One day she decided to start running and the rest is history. She went on to run in college winning 2 NCAA championships and eventually win a Gold medal at the 2007 Pan American Games. She was also an alternate for the Olympics.

She goes over her diet and having to go gluten free. She endured some injuries during her career as well. Now she is one of the few Division 1 female head coaches. She is enjoying building out a Cross Country program.
