Transcript

Hello, sir, thank you, sir, my god, sir, Sir Sarah, Sir, mister Lott, mistert who that who miss the lot? Who's sir? I'm James and James's fifty plus right now in a month of January. It is a audio only series at the moment, Here are you find where you find fine audio podcasts. The first time I can't remember the first time I was called sir or missed a lot, but it was definitely in the nineties, late nineties. As I'm getting older and for some people

it's a terminal to just say mister or whatever, just like this. I mean, that's fine, but I feel so young. I'm a grandfather of five, so I don't know, I just feel so young. But it's just sold, sir, mich long lost my father, which a lot of my uncles. But I'm I'm Jbie. You're like youth, I see you know some people I don't know. It's just it's yeah, it's just it's titles. Titles are It can be important sometimes also for people who are very

much prone to talking to people, uh gay respect from the South. A lot of times it's a lot more of certain cultures, a lot more of the yes sir, yes, ma'am. How the star helmet, you know, like that kind of thing. It's just gonna be you know interesting. I was just like, I don't I just feel old. It's because I know, I know age and one the number blah blah. But when you're the age when they it just feels older. You know, everybody is younger

than you are. It's so crazy. Everybody's they're just younger. And that's just and so I should take it as you're an elder statesman. Now I was a young ANGENEU. Now I'm the older statesman. I'm you know, there's there's some respect that people have with my name a little bit that they didn't have if I was younger. I mean, it's just kind of how it is, the hierarchy mentality. Hello. So I don't know, it's

just it's still hard get used to. I dream with the titles of course, like doctor a lot and I have Doctor in Divinity and things like that. I'm so used to that too. It's like these are all like it's just it's overwhelming. It's like, really, I just I just want to be James. I don't want to be sir or thank you sir, thank you for shopping here, sir, or the one it counts boss a boss

Boss Boss Boss boss Boss, which is another tour dem dearman. There's some other ones that don't mind, like King, you know, we love you King. That's cute. I like that a lot. Of course, with the territory, I get the daddy and all that, and grahams a lot of stuff. So I mean, done it with my failure from people who you know, younger, and I'm used to that to you now at this point, but I just know that it's gonna get worse. I have gray in my beard. Someone told me today on a dating app I was very

distinguished looking and they were forty eight and I'm fifty four. I'm like, dang it, I am older. I know. I know for some women it's really tough to hear ma'am a little bit. I'm not a ma'am. It does connelte that you're that you're older. I mean, we're lucky to be here, We're lucky to actually be able to talk and all that. So I guess I guess. You know, the alternat is very final, and they say, try about trying to do that. So I'm like, so it's kind of like, okay, you know, you you move a

little slower, move a little differently. You start to do a lot more monologues. To get older, you try to be a little more honor. We get older and frumpy, and they just they're just like, yeah, it's like we're gonna be out right. I wants it's hilarious because I'm being older, and in my family especially, I'm one of the elder span I really want an elder statesman in my profession. I'm one of the elder statesmen

in my career, like I'm one of the elders. It's just kind of it's it's you were stuff long enough, and that's what happens, and you become one of that. You become one of the endgame becomes you. You become the one. So I tried to get as children, dear man, I mean, you won't get any younger, and you know, it's just kind of how it is. I guess trying to deal with that. I mean, we called ma'am, they we called sir out there. I don't

correct people when they do it. I just it's just it's children. They're being told me polite, and I don't I don't, I don't say nothing.

My titles of Daddy, Daddy, Kin's, Papa, Jamie and that I love those go Jamie, I love that's Uncle James, all all that though, any of those works for me because that's those are titles I like, I'm James and James is fifty plus this monthly, just talk about different issues but being or fifty If you have any seriously, if you have any thoughts or suggestions for topics that hit them fifty plus community in a different way, tell me I would I would love to hear it, and maybe I'll

talk about it on my show and you're your credit for it. But like, subscribe Commed while you're here, and tell a friend talk to you next time.
