¶ The Power of a Math Mindset
Hello, hello, hello and welcome to the five minute GED prep. My name is Nishima Harvey. I am your hostess with the most is when it comes to the five-minute GED thing, okay? Now today we're talking mindset. We're talking math and we're of course we're talking G E D. It is super important for you to get your mind right. In preparation for this GED and preparation for life. GED, yes, that's a test, but the reality is it's prepping you for that next phase of life.
And on that journey, especially on that test, but also on that journey, you're gonna discover math. We're not gonna discover it'cause it's always been there, but Math will be there. Math is always there. Math was there when you were born, and math will be there when you die. Math will always be there. Understanding math though. Math is a language, and math is also a mindset, right? Some people say, Oh, I have a money mind. I always want to make money. Well, you have a math mindset.
The mindset is everything. You might tell me, Well, I'm afraid, I don't like math, I didn't do math, do well in math in school. I I I get nervous. I can't remember my multiplication facts. I don't know how to divide. Addition's a little tricky for me. I don't know about regrouping. Any of those things, that that's where you fit in a category that you fit in. It's okay. It's okay. Because then I'm gonna ask you.
To change your way of thinking for a moment before you decide to consciously come to math because we subconsciously come to math every single day. I'm gonna ask you to consciously, right? I'm gonna ask you to consciously say to yourself, I am math. I am able to understand math. I am ready to make a change where I excel in math.
Why do I want you to say those affirmations? I want you to speak in the present when it comes to math because when it comes to this universe, the mindset, the law of attraction. If you continuously say what you can't do and what you're not gonna do or what's hard for you to do because somebody didn't teach it to you. You will stay in that realm forever. The mindset is everything. The mindset is everything, which is why I had to write that book. I want my GED.
The five mindset tips you need to know now because if you do not change that mindset toward math, if you do not change that mindset to higher learning. Then you will always be where you are. If your mindset says, Oh, I don't do math. Okay, well, now you don't do math.
¶ Affirmations and Positive Self-Talk
What you put out into this world, quantum physics says is what you're gonna get back in return. Law of attraction says that's what you're gonna get back in return. So, what kind of return do you want? Don't you want to put out abundance and get back abundance? If we lived in a world that was mirroring everything that we did, what kind of mirror reflection will you have?
This world is about balance and we have to understand that when we're thinking mindset. And if you're you're you're probably off balance, if you're like, I can't do it, I can't do it, you're off balance. You're doing too much on the negative and not enough positive. Live your world. Your personal little world, live it with balance. Live it with speaking positive about what you can do with men.
Currently, I am successful in this in math, and I will now be adding on to my successful skills in math. How are you gonna do that? How you gonna add on to your successful skills in math? Well, one thing you can do is possibly listen to this podcast, maybe even purchase the book, the mindset book, or better yet, just Have a tutor or a teacher to help you through their process? Mindset is everything. What you believe about yourself will determine how far you go.
It's gonna determine your glow-up. It's gonna determine what's going to happen for you. I hope these words are penetrating through your mind. and triggering what is needed to increase your mindset about math. Turn it into the positive. Have you speak positive. And even if your whole life you struggled like my younger life.
¶ Embracing Math as a Universal Language
Was plagued with fear and doubt towards math. I never could think and imagine I would be on this side of it. The positive side of math. Because honey, I know the negative side. I knew it up all the way to my early twenties. When you hear my story, ho ho, you're gonna be like, Wow, yeah. And then look at me today, honey. I'm on the other side of that. Fear does not take over. I speak it into existence that I will find success or I have found success with my math. And guess what? It is true.
It's not about faking it till you make it. It's about believing what you would like to be true until it comes true. And in this case, we are talking about math. And math, my friend, Is the universal language of that we all must learn how to become more efficient in so that we can communicate effectively, not only with ourselves and others, but the universe. Math is everywhere. Math's not just money. Math is in your plants, in your trees, in your human being self. Math is everywhere.
