Episode description

The Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact, or CALCI, is an exciting new program offered to all 11th- and 12th-graders in Eugene School District 4J. It's a hands-on program that currently consists of the student-run Creative Current Design studio and Future Build. These are incredible opportunities for students to learn and lead, they also work and build relationships with industry professionals. There are plans to expand the number of programs in the future. The real-world projects students complete help address community needs and issues.

Hear what one South Eugene High School student has to say about his experience. Let's just say he is really excited about what he's doing.
